Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a changing unit with a base plate, a front wall arranged on the front of the changing unit and movable between a closed position and an open position in or on the changing unit and at least two side walls arranged on the base plate, the side walls and the front wall located in the closed position extend substantially perpendicular to the base plate and limit it.
  • Changing furniture such as changing table tops, are used for changing toddlers.
  • a child has plenty of freedom of movement on a changing unit.
  • changing furniture is offered that is raised on its sides to prevent the child from falling. But especially when toddlers can already turn and move independently, side elevations are not enough.
  • an additional front wall is sometimes used.
  • a commercially available changing furniture either has a back wall or it is placed with a back against a wall, so that the child is secured on all sides. This enables a supervisor to briefly leave the changing unit.
  • the front wall is often adjustable or removable to make it easier for the child to wrap and hang up on the changing unit.
  • a changing table attachment which comprises a rear wall, two side walls and a front wall.
  • the front wall can be folded out to the front.
  • a changing table attachment which has a front wall which is adjustable in or on the changing table.
  • the front wall has a fastener on its upper edge with which it can be attached to the Side walls of the changing table attachment can be attached.
  • Safety hooks are provided as additional security.
  • the known changing furniture cannot always reliably prevent a toddler lying on the changing table from falling. If the mobility of a child increases with age, the front wall of a baby changing unit can appear due to pedaling. Complicated multi-stage locking mechanisms for the front wall to prevent such a occurrence of a changing furniture have the disadvantage that they are expensive to manufacture and that the operator does not always carry out all the steps necessary for secure locking.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a compact, easy-to-use and easy-to-produce changing furniture that safely prevents a toddler lying on the changing furniture from falling.
  • the changing furniture according to the invention has a base plate, a front wall arranged on the front of the changing furniture and movable between a closed position and an open position in or on the changing furniture and at least two side walls arranged on the base plate, the side walls and the front wall located in the closed position being in the Extend essentially perpendicular to the base plate and limit it.
  • the front wall has a first guide means and at least one side wall has a second guide means.
  • the guide means cooperate in such a way that by moving the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the Changing furniture and by subsequently lifting the front wall, the front wall can be moved from the closed position to the open position.
  • the guide means can cooperate in such a way that the front wall can be guided from the closed position into the open position by pivoting the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the winding furniture and then lifting the front wall from the base plate.
  • the front wall can be raised in an orientation essentially perpendicular to the base plate.
  • a translatory movement can also be possible.
  • the changing furniture according to the invention can in particular be a changing table attachment.
  • the front wall arranged on the front of the changing unit can also be attached to the changing unit in an easily detachable manner for the user or can be inserted, so that it can be removed and stowed away separately.
  • the front wall preferably remains movably connected to the changing furniture.
  • the back of the changing furniture can be formed by a rear wall belonging to the changing furniture or by a rear wall of a changing table on which the changing furniture rests.
  • the changing furniture can also rest against a room wall so that it forms the back.
  • the front wall in its open position is adjusted in or on the changing furniture, it is not in the way of the user.
  • the front wall does not protrude uncomfortably over the changing table and does not cover the upper drawers or cupboard doors of a changing table or changing table located under the changing furniture.
  • the area available on a changing table can be used to the maximum, since the open front wall does not take up any space on the changing table according to its height. In the open position the front wall is freely accessible from the front and can be easily gripped by the user.
  • the changing furniture according to the invention not only serves to securely position an infant to be changed, but can also be used, for example, in doctor's offices or hospitals as an examination table for young children.
  • the interaction of the guide means located in the front wall and the side wall or the side walls makes it difficult for the toddler to push open the front wall and thus lead it out of the closed position.
  • the transfer of the front wall from the closed position into the open position can only be achieved by first moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing table, in particular pivoting it, and then lifting it up. If a toddler on the changing furniture is kicking his legs a lot and violently and pushing the legs between any struts of a front wall designed as a lattice, it might be able to lift the front wall.
  • the interaction of the guide means makes it possible to lift the front wall from the closed position only by moving it in the direction of the toddler lying on the changing furniture. A toddler can practically not perform this complex movement.
  • the user is thus able to leave the changing table at short notice without endangering the small child.
  • Devices that pretension the front wall into the closed position and thus also pose a risk of injury are unnecessary.
  • the front wall can be moved from the open position to the closed position without load. No additional securing by means of securing hooks or the like is necessary.
  • the front wall can be in simpler Be moved in a continuous movement from the closed position to the open position and back.
  • the first guide means can preferably be arranged at a lower end of the front wall located in the closed position and the second guide means can be arranged at a lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall.
  • This arrangement makes it particularly easy for the operator to open and close the front wall.
  • the interaction of the guide means here is such that the front wall can be moved, in particular pivoted, and raised in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture with only one hand, so that the user has the other hand free, for example for holding the child to be inserted or one Diaper.
  • the point of attack used for this can be, for example, an upper crosspiece of the front wall.
  • the first guide means can be located, for example, on a lower crosspiece of the front wall.
  • the front wall can also be moved particularly easily, even with only one hand, from the closed position into the open position on or into the changing furniture, preferably under the base plate, and back.
  • the guide means can in particular be arranged such that they are not or only partially visible from the outside.
  • the first guide means may preferably comprise at least one pin and the second guide means at least one guide groove, in which the at least one pin is guided in the course of the interaction of the guide means, or the first guide means may have at least one guide groove and the second guide means at least one in the course of the Cooperation of the guide means in the at least one guide groove guided pin.
  • the front wall can also have at least one guide groove for guiding at least one pin located on at least one side wall.
  • the front wall can have the first guide means with at least one pin on an underside, preferably on a lower transverse web, the at least one pin being guided in the at least one guide groove at the lower end of at least one side wall.
  • the lower crossbar can also form the first guide means and, for example, pins for guiding in the at least one guide groove of at least one side wall can be provided on one or both ends of the lower crossbar facing the side surfaces. The at least one pin is guided in the at least one guide groove in such a way that the front wall can be moved from the closed position into the open position in the manner according to the invention.
  • the first guide means can have at least one pin or at least one groove on a lower end of the front wall located in the closed position and the second guide means can have at least one groove or at least one pin on a lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall.
  • the first guide means can have at least one pin or at least one groove on an upper end of the front wall in the closed position and the second guide means can have at least one groove or at least one pin on an upper edge of at least one side wall.
  • the guide means can cooperate in such a way that the front wall can be moved from the closed position into the open position by moving the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and then lifting the front wall.
  • the interaction of the guide means can ensure that the at least one pin located at the lower end of the front wall in the closed position or the at least one pin located at the lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall reaches the opening position.
  • the at least one pin is moved from a locking position of the at least one guide groove to an unlocking position of the at least one guide groove and the at least one by moving, in particular pivoting, the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the changing table Pin is brought by a subsequent lifting of the front wall from the base plate from the unlocking position into an open position of the at least one guide groove.
  • a pin located in the locking position of the at least one guide groove can restrict the movement of the front wall in such a way that the front wall cannot be raised.
  • the at least one pin is guided from the locking position into the unlocking position by moving the front wall in the closed position, in particular by pivoting about, for example, a longitudinal axis of an upper crosspiece, in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture.
  • the at least one pin in the unlocked position now enables the front wall to be raised, in particular from the base plate, which results in the at least one pin moving from the unlocked position into the open position.
  • the at least one guide groove can preferably have a projection which prevents the front wall in the closed position from being raised when the at least one pin is in the locking position.
  • the interaction of the at least one pin and the at least one guide groove then restricts the movement of the at least one pin in such a way that its movement from the locking position into the open position, and thus a movement of the front wall from the closed position, only by moving in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and subsequent lifting of the front wall is possible.
  • this movement is practically impossible for a child lying on the changing furniture and the locking mechanism is therefore particularly secure.
  • the at least one guide groove can have an offset through which the at least one pin located in the open position is moved by gravity into the locking position and the front wall into the closed position.
  • the at least one guide groove can have a first guide section that leads the at least one pin ascending from the locking position away from the offset and a second guide section that follows the first guide section and leads the at least one pin ascending toward the offset, so that the pin can be guided from the locking position into the opening position in a particularly simple manner and can be guided from the opening position into the locking position by gravity alone and can be held there.
  • the front wall can thus be moved from a raised position to the closed position.
  • This design of the guide groove ensures, on the one hand, that the front wall, which is moved, in particular pivoted, and raised in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture, can fall back into the safe closed position in the event of an incomplete opening movement, as long as the pin does not exceed the opening position during the opening movement.
  • this configuration facilitates the movement of the front wall from the open position into the closed position, since after the pin has reached the open position, the front wall can be moved into the closed position without any further force being exerted by the operator.
  • the at least one pin can be brought from the open position into an open position by moving the raised front wall into the open position. After the at least one pin has been brought into the open position by moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and then lifting the front wall from the locking position to the unlocking position, it can finally be moved into the open position along the at least one guide groove be continued by moving the front wall into the open position.
  • the open position of the at least one guide groove is preferably located below the base plate and so far from the front of the changing unit that the front wall can be moved completely onto or into the changing unit.
  • the front wall can be locked on at least one side wall.
  • the front wall can preferably have at least one locking means at an upper end, with which the front wall can be locked in the closed position on at least one side wall when the at least one pin is in the locking position.
  • the interaction between the at least one locking means and at least one side wall, and between the at least one pin and the at least one guide groove, enables a particularly secure closure of the winding furniture to be achieved.
  • the at least one locking means can be, for example, a groove or a notch in an upper side of the front wall, preferably in an upper transverse web.
  • the groove or notch can be designed so that it receives an upper end of a side wall, so that the front wall can be placed on one or both side walls and thus locked.
  • the at least one locking means can also have a pin, which is received in a corresponding recess or groove in a side wall, so that the front wall can be hooked into one or both side walls and thus locked.
  • the front wall is additionally secured by the at least one locking means.
  • the at least one locking means can form part of the first and / or the second guide means.
  • the at least one guide groove can preferably be designed such that the front wall can be moved into the open position by moving the at least one pin along a first or a second opening path.
  • the at least one guide groove can be designed such that the at least one pin after moving from the locking position into the open position by moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture, then lifting the front wall and finally by moving the front wall into the Open position can be moved from the open position to the open position along a first or a second opening path.
  • a second opening path facilitates the movement of the front wall from the closed position into the open position, in particular if there is an offset by which the at least one pin in the open position is moved by gravity into the locking position and the front wall into the closed position, since the second opening path can prevent the at least one pin from sliding back into the locking position of the at least one guide groove.
  • the first guide means can be formed by at least one guide rod connected to a lower end of the front wall via a joint and comprising at least one pin or at least one guide groove.
  • the at least one guide rod can have an articulated pin arranged at its end on the articulation side and an end pin arranged on its end remote from the articulated end for guiding in at least one guide groove of the second guide means.
  • the pin on the hinge side is guided in a front section comprising the locking position, unlocking position and opening position and in an elongated section of the at least one guide groove running below the base plate and essentially parallel to this, while the end pin facing away from the hinge is only in the elongated, underneath the base plate and substantially parallel to this section of the at least one guide groove.
  • the at least one guide rod can be located under the base plate at any time.
  • This has the advantage that the at least one guide groove in the side walls can lie particularly far below the base plate, thus increasing the safety and user-friendliness of the changing unit.
  • the guidance of the pins in the at least one guide groove takes place particularly smoothly through this configuration.
  • the second guide means can also have a front pin which is close to the front wall and a rear pin which is close to the rear of the changing furniture, which pins are guided in the at least one guide groove of the first guide means.
  • the at least one guide groove can have a heart-like shape. In principle, however, all forms are conceivable which bring about a movement of the front wall according to the invention from the closed position into the open position.
  • the at least one pin guided in the at least one guide groove interacts with the at least one guide groove in such a way that the at least one pin slips out of the at least one guide groove.
  • front wall and / or a rear wall and / or one or more side walls can be designed as closed walls, but also as a grid, and can be made of wood, for example.
  • the base plate can also be made of wood.
  • the winding furniture shown has a rectangular, rectangular base plate 10 in the usual position of use.

  • a front wall 30 designed as a grating is provided with a lower transverse web 32 and an upper transverse web 34.
  • the upper transverse web 34 has, at both ends facing the side walls, locking means 100 which cooperate with upper grooves 102 arranged on the upper edges of the side walls 20 in such a way that the front wall 30 can be suspended in the side walls 20.
  • the upper grooves each have an elevation 105 which must be overcome by the pins 100 when the front wall 30 is hooked into the side walls 20 and a side surface 107 which cannot be overcome by the pins 100 and thus the front wall 30, as in FIG Fig. 4 and 6 evident.
  • the front wall 30 can, after overcoming the elevation 105, move forward, ie away from the base plate 10 , be pivoted like this in Fig. 1 is shown until it is aligned approximately parallel to the base plate 10.
  • the front wall 30 can then be pushed parallel to the base plate 10 into an open position, as shown in FIG Fig. 2 is shown.
  • the front wall is connected via a first guide means 40 arranged on the lower crosspiece 32 to a second guide means 50 arranged on the lower end of the inner surfaces of both side walls 20 (see Fig. 4 ).
  • the interaction of these guide means 40, 50 allows the front wall 30 to be moved into the open position under the base plate 10.
  • the side walls 20 extend so far vertically below the base plate 10 that there is sufficient space between the base plate 10 and a changing table (not shown) or another flat support in order to accommodate the front wall 30.
  • Fig. 2 shows the front wall 30 completely sunk under the base plate 10 in the open position.
  • the pins 100 are received by lower grooves 104 in the side walls 20.
  • the front wall 30 lies horizontally below the base plate 10 in the open position.
  • the front wall 30 protrudes a little above the base plate 10, so that a user of the changing furniture can comfortably grip the front wall 30 on its upper crosspiece 34 and move it from the open position into the closed position can.
  • a front end of the second guide means 50 can be seen.
  • Fig 3 shows the front wall 30 near the open position.

  • the front wall is guided in the second guide means 50 via the first guide means 40 arranged on the lower crosspiece 32.
  • the second guide means 50 extends below the base plate and parallel to it.
  • the second guide means 50 comprises a guide groove 52 which extends approximately as far below the base plate 10 as corresponds to the height of the front wall 30. Towards the front, the guide groove 52 runs essentially parallel to the base plate 10 up to the front edge 15 of the base plate 10 and finally merges into a heart-like arc.
  • Fig. 4 shows the changing furniture according to the invention in a sectional view.
  • the front wall 30 is in the closed position, so that the pins 100 located on the upper crosspiece 34 of the front wall 30 engage in the upper grooves 102 of the side walls 20.
  • the first guide means 40 comprises a guide rod 120 which is pivotally connected via a joint 110 to the lower end of the front wall 30, in particular to the lower transverse web 32.
  • the guide rod 120 comprises two spaced-apart pins, a joint-side pin 42 and an end-side pin 44 arranged at the other end of the guide rod 120, both of which are guided in the guide groove 52 of the second guide means 50 arranged on or in the side wall 20.
  • the hinge-side pin 42 is guided in the heart-like arch as well as in the elongate section of the at least one guide groove 52, which runs under the base plate 10 and essentially parallel to this, while the end pin 44 facing away from the hinge only in the elongate section which runs under the base plate at least one guide groove 52 is guided.
  • the second guide means 50 extends so far under the base plate 10 that the heart-like arc of the guide groove 52 is partially under the base plate. In this way, the security of the changing furniture can be increased, since a small child lying on the changing furniture cannot get limbs caught in the guide groove 52 arranged under the base plate 10.
  • the pins 42, 44 are guided in the guide groove 52 particularly smoothly and in a user-friendly manner due to the at least one guide rod 120.

  • FIG. 5 shows the guide groove 52 Fig. 4 in detail.
  • a pin of the first guide means in the present case the pin 42 of the guide rod 120, is guided in the guide groove 52 in the manner according to the invention.
  • the pins 100 of the upper crossbar 34 of the front wall 30 lie in the upper grooves 102, as in FIG Fig. 4 shown.
  • the pin 42 is in a locking position 60 of the guide groove 52. In this closed position, the front wall 30 cannot be moved forward in the direction of the open position due to the locking by the pin 100 and the upper groove 102.
  • a projection 54 of the guide groove 52 also prevents the front wall 30 from being lifted upward from the base plate 10 and thus prevents the front wall 30 from occurring due to an infant lying on the changing furniture.
  • a toddler lying on the base plate 10 of the changing unit can also be hooked up by pulling the front wall 30 up of the feet, for example on the upper crosspiece 34, does not move the front wall 30 out of the closed position and is therefore safely protected against falling from the changing furniture.
  • the projection 54 has an indentation 55 on its underside facing the locking position 60.
  • the pin 42 moves from the locking position 60 into the indentation 55 and is held there in such a manner that it cannot slide along the underside of the projection 54 in the direction of the unlocking position 70. This additionally secures the front wall 30 in the closed position.
  • the guide groove 52 has, as in Fig. 5 to see an offset 56 between the vertices C and D of the mutually opposite inner surfaces of the guide groove 52. If the pin 42 has been moved by pivoting and lifting the front wall 30 from the locking position 60 into the opening position 80 in the vicinity of the vertex C, but the pins 100 and thus the upper crossbar 34 have not yet overcome the elevation 105, then the The front wall 30 is returned to the safe closed position solely by gravity. In this case, the pin 42 is moved by gravity from the opening position 80 in the vicinity of the apex C downwards in the vicinity of the apex D without any further force being exerted by the operator.
  • the pin 42 is subsequently guided in the direction of the unlocking position 70 by a lowering of the front wall 30 due to gravity.
  • the pins 100 slide back into the grooves 102 and the front wall 30 pivots back, so that the pin 42 is guided from the unlocking position 70 into the locking position 60.
  • the offset 56 thus ensures, on the one hand, that the pivoted and raised front wall 30 falls back into the safe closed position when the opening movement is not complete, as long as the pin 42 does not exceed the apex D during the opening movement.
  • this configuration facilitates the movement of the front wall 30 from the open position into the closed position, since after the opening position 80 has been reached by means of the pin 42, the front wall 30 can be moved into the closed position without any further force being exerted by the operator.
  • the pin 42 can be moved to the left or right starting from the open position 80 in two different opening ways. Movement of the pin 42 from the open position 80 to the left along the curve 85 to the open position 90 harmoniously extends the movement of the front wall 30 from the closed position to the raised position and thus the movement of the pin 42 from the locking position 60 via the unlocking position 70 in the opening position 80.
  • the offset 56 between the vertices C and D it may happen that a simple passage through the vertex D by the pin 42 does not work during an opening movement of the front wall.
  • a second opening path is provided along the opening 86 below the locking position 60.
  • the raised front wall 30 has been moved forward such that the pins 100 have overcome the ridges 105, lowering the front wall 30 allows the pin 42 to move back from the opening position 80 to the unlocking position 70 past the locking position 60 through the opening 86 and finally be guided into the open position 90. If the raised front wall 30 has not been moved forward in such a way that the pins 100 overcome the elevations 105, such a movement leads to the front wall 30 sliding back into the closed position in the manner already explained.
  • One inner surface of the guide groove 52 is as in FIG Fig. 5 seen to be slightly rounded around the apex D. This has the advantage that even with a Slight lateral inclination of the front wall 30 and a resulting not completely symmetrical positioning of the pins 42 of the first guide means in the guide grooves 52 of the respective side wall 20, the front wall 30 does not hook, even if the pins 42 due to the inclination of the front wall 30 on different sides of the Vertex D are located. Furthermore, this inner surface of the guide groove 52 has a sloping surface 87 which makes it easier to guide the pin 42 after passing the vertex D when the front wall 30 moves from the closed position into the open position.
  • Fig. 7 an alternative guide groove according to the invention is shown, which differs from that in Fig. 5 the guide groove shown differs only by a shoulder 130 below the unlocking position 70 '.
  • the shoulder 130 can make it difficult to move the pin 42 guided in the guide groove from the locking position 60 'into the unlocking position 70' and thus prevent the front wall 30 from swiveling unintentionally.
  • the shoulder is designed in such a way that the front wall 30 must first be raised before it can be pivoted in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture.
  • Fig. 8 shows a further alternative embodiment of a guide groove according to the invention.
  • a pin 42 of the first guide means 40 is pivoted from the locking position 60 "into the unlocking position 70" by pivoting the front wall 30 about a longitudinal axis of the upper transverse web 34 in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture.
  • the pin 42 is guided from the unlocking position 70 "on the opening path 140" by lifting the front wall 30 into the opening position 80 "and finally by moving the front wall 30 into the open position into the open position 90".
  • This embodiment also has an offset 56 "between apexes C” and D ", through which a pin 42 located in the opening position 80" the front wall 30 alone by gravity into the closed position along a closing path 150 "and the front wall 30 is locked in the closed position, provided that the pins 100 of the locking means engage in the upper grooves 102.

Description

The present invention relates to a changing unit with a base plate, a front wall arranged on the front of the changing unit and movable between a closed position and an open position in or on the changing unit and at least two side walls arranged on the base plate, the side walls and the front wall located in the closed position extend substantially perpendicular to the base plate and limit it.

Changing furniture, such as changing table tops, are used for changing toddlers. A child has plenty of freedom of movement on a changing unit. Nowadays, changing furniture is offered that is raised on its sides to prevent the child from falling. But especially when toddlers can already turn and move independently, side elevations are not enough. In order to prevent the child from falling, an additional front wall is sometimes used. Furthermore, a commercially available changing furniture either has a back wall or it is placed with a back against a wall, so that the child is secured on all sides. This enables a supervisor to briefly leave the changing unit. The front wall is often adjustable or removable to make it easier for the child to wrap and hang up on the changing unit.

Out DE 20 2009 011 526 U1 a changing table attachment is known which comprises a rear wall, two side walls and a front wall. The front wall can be folded out to the front.

Out DE 20 2011 106 776 U1 a changing table attachment is known which has a front wall which is adjustable in or on the changing table. The front wall has a fastener on its upper edge with which it can be attached to the Side walls of the changing table attachment can be attached. Safety hooks are provided as additional security.

However, the known changing furniture cannot always reliably prevent a toddler lying on the changing table from falling.

The invention has for its object to provide a compact, easy-to-use and easy-to-produce changing furniture that safely prevents a toddler lying on the changing furniture from falling.

The object is achieved by a winding furniture with the features of claim 1. Advantageous configurations can be found in the subclaims, the description and the figures.

The changing furniture according to the invention has a base plate, a front wall arranged on the front of the changing furniture and movable between a closed position and an open position in or on the changing furniture and at least two side walls arranged on the base plate, the side walls and the front wall located in the closed position being in the Extend essentially perpendicular to the base plate and limit it. The front wall has a first guide means and at least one side wall has a second guide means. The guide means cooperate in such a way that by moving the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the Changing furniture and by subsequently lifting the front wall, the front wall can be moved from the closed position to the open position. In particular, the guide means can cooperate in such a way that the front wall can be guided from the closed position into the open position by pivoting the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the winding furniture and then lifting the front wall from the base plate. The front wall can be raised in an orientation essentially perpendicular to the base plate. However, a translatory movement can also be possible. The changing furniture according to the invention can in particular be a changing table attachment.

The front wall arranged on the front of the changing unit can also be attached to the changing unit in an easily detachable manner for the user or can be inserted, so that it can be removed and stowed away separately. However, the front wall preferably remains movably connected to the changing furniture.

In the closed position of the front wall, the base plate is delimited by vertical walls, so that a toddler on the changing unit is protected from falling. The back of the changing furniture can be formed by a rear wall belonging to the changing furniture or by a rear wall of a changing table on which the changing furniture rests. The changing furniture can also rest against a room wall so that it forms the back. Because the front wall in its open position is adjusted in or on the changing furniture, it is not in the way of the user. The front wall does not protrude uncomfortably over the changing table and does not cover the upper drawers or cupboard doors of a changing table or changing table located under the changing furniture. The area available on a changing table can be used to the maximum, since the open front wall does not take up any space on the changing table according to its height. In the open position the front wall is freely accessible from the front and can be easily gripped by the user.

The changing furniture according to the invention not only serves to securely position an infant to be changed, but can also be used, for example, in doctor's offices or hospitals as an examination table for young children.

The interaction of the guide means located in the front wall and the side wall or the side walls makes it difficult for the toddler to push open the front wall and thus lead it out of the closed position. The transfer of the front wall from the closed position into the open position can only be achieved by first moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing table, in particular pivoting it, and then lifting it up. If a toddler on the changing furniture is kicking his legs a lot and violently and pushing the legs between any struts of a front wall designed as a lattice, it might be able to lift the front wall. The interaction of the guide means makes it possible to lift the front wall from the closed position only by moving it in the direction of the toddler lying on the changing furniture. A toddler can practically not perform this complex movement.

The user is thus able to leave the changing table at short notice without endangering the small child. Devices that pretension the front wall into the closed position and thus also pose a risk of injury are unnecessary. The front wall can be moved from the open position to the closed position without load. No additional securing by means of securing hooks or the like is necessary. The front wall can be in simpler Be moved in a continuous movement from the closed position to the open position and back.

The first guide means can preferably be arranged at a lower end of the front wall located in the closed position and the second guide means can be arranged at a lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall. This arrangement makes it particularly easy for the operator to open and close the front wall. The interaction of the guide means here is such that the front wall can be moved, in particular pivoted, and raised in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture with only one hand, so that the user has the other hand free, for example for holding the child to be inserted or one Diaper. The point of attack used for this can be, for example, an upper crosspiece of the front wall. The first guide means can be located, for example, on a lower crosspiece of the front wall. By arranging the guide means in the manner mentioned, the front wall can also be moved particularly easily, even with only one hand, from the closed position into the open position on or into the changing furniture, preferably under the base plate, and back. The guide means can in particular be arranged such that they are not or only partially visible from the outside.

The first guide means may preferably comprise at least one pin and the second guide means at least one guide groove, in which the at least one pin is guided in the course of the interaction of the guide means, or the first guide means may have at least one guide groove and the second guide means at least one in the course of the Cooperation of the guide means in the at least one guide groove guided pin. However, the front wall can also have at least one guide groove for guiding at least one pin located on at least one side wall.

According to a further embodiment, the front wall can have the first guide means with at least one pin on an underside, preferably on a lower transverse web, the at least one pin being guided in the at least one guide groove at the lower end of at least one side wall. The lower crossbar can also form the first guide means and, for example, pins for guiding in the at least one guide groove of at least one side wall can be provided on one or both ends of the lower crossbar facing the side surfaces. The at least one pin is guided in the at least one guide groove in such a way that the front wall can be moved from the closed position into the open position in the manner according to the invention.

According to a further embodiment, the first guide means can have at least one pin or at least one groove on a lower end of the front wall located in the closed position and the second guide means can have at least one groove or at least one pin on a lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall. In addition, the first guide means can have at least one pin or at least one groove on an upper end of the front wall in the closed position and the second guide means can have at least one groove or at least one pin on an upper edge of at least one side wall. The guide means can cooperate in such a way that the front wall can be moved from the closed position into the open position by moving the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and then lifting the front wall. In particular, the interaction of the guide means can ensure that the at least one pin located at the lower end of the front wall in the closed position or the at least one pin located at the lower end of the inner surface of at least one side wall reaches the opening position.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the at least one pin is moved from a locking position of the at least one guide groove to an unlocking position of the at least one guide groove and the at least one by moving, in particular pivoting, the front wall located in the closed position in the direction of the rear of the changing table Pin is brought by a subsequent lifting of the front wall from the base plate from the unlocking position into an open position of the at least one guide groove. A pin located in the locking position of the at least one guide groove can restrict the movement of the front wall in such a way that the front wall cannot be raised. The at least one pin is guided from the locking position into the unlocking position by moving the front wall in the closed position, in particular by pivoting about, for example, a longitudinal axis of an upper crosspiece, in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture. The at least one pin in the unlocked position now enables the front wall to be raised, in particular from the base plate, which results in the at least one pin moving from the unlocked position into the open position. The at least one guide groove can preferably have a projection which prevents the front wall in the closed position from being raised when the at least one pin is in the locking position. The interaction of the at least one pin and the at least one guide groove then restricts the movement of the at least one pin in such a way that its movement from the locking position into the open position, and thus a movement of the front wall from the closed position, only by moving in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and subsequent lifting of the front wall is possible. As mentioned, this movement is practically impossible for a child lying on the changing furniture and the locking mechanism is therefore particularly secure.

Furthermore, the at least one guide groove can have an offset through which the at least one pin located in the open position is moved by gravity into the locking position and the front wall into the closed position. In particular, the at least one guide groove can have a first guide section that leads the at least one pin ascending from the locking position away from the offset and a second guide section that follows the first guide section and leads the at least one pin ascending toward the offset, so that the pin can be guided from the locking position into the opening position in a particularly simple manner and can be guided from the opening position into the locking position by gravity alone and can be held there. The front wall can thus be moved from a raised position to the closed position. This design of the guide groove ensures, on the one hand, that the front wall, which is moved, in particular pivoted, and raised in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture, can fall back into the safe closed position in the event of an incomplete opening movement, as long as the pin does not exceed the opening position during the opening movement. On the other hand, this configuration facilitates the movement of the front wall from the open position into the closed position, since after the pin has reached the open position, the front wall can be moved into the closed position without any further force being exerted by the operator.

According to a further embodiment, the at least one pin can be brought from the open position into an open position by moving the raised front wall into the open position. After the at least one pin has been brought into the open position by moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture and then lifting the front wall from the locking position to the unlocking position, it can finally be moved into the open position along the at least one guide groove be continued by moving the front wall into the open position. The open position of the at least one guide groove is preferably located below the base plate and so far from the front of the changing unit that the front wall can be moved completely onto or into the changing unit.

According to a further embodiment, the front wall can be locked on at least one side wall. The front wall can preferably have at least one locking means at an upper end, with which the front wall can be locked in the closed position on at least one side wall when the at least one pin is in the locking position. The interaction between the at least one locking means and at least one side wall, and between the at least one pin and the at least one guide groove, enables a particularly secure closure of the winding furniture to be achieved. The at least one locking means can be, for example, a groove or a notch in an upper side of the front wall, preferably in an upper transverse web. The groove or notch can be designed so that it receives an upper end of a side wall, so that the front wall can be placed on one or both side walls and thus locked. The at least one locking means can also have a pin, which is received in a corresponding recess or groove in a side wall, so that the front wall can be hooked into one or both side walls and thus locked. The front wall is additionally secured by the at least one locking means. In particular, the at least one locking means can form part of the first and / or the second guide means.

The at least one guide groove can preferably be designed such that the front wall can be moved into the open position by moving the at least one pin along a first or a second opening path.

In particular, the at least one guide groove can be designed such that the at least one pin after moving from the locking position into the open position by moving the front wall in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture, then lifting the front wall and finally by moving the front wall into the Open position can be moved from the open position to the open position along a first or a second opening path. A second opening path facilitates the movement of the front wall from the closed position into the open position, in particular if there is an offset by which the at least one pin in the open position is moved by gravity into the locking position and the front wall into the closed position, since the second opening path can prevent the at least one pin from sliding back into the locking position of the at least one guide groove.

Furthermore, the first guide means can be formed by at least one guide rod connected to a lower end of the front wall via a joint and comprising at least one pin or at least one guide groove. In particular, the at least one guide rod can have an articulated pin arranged at its end on the articulation side and an end pin arranged on its end remote from the articulated end for guiding in at least one guide groove of the second guide means. Preferably, the pin on the hinge side is guided in a front section comprising the locking position, unlocking position and opening position and in an elongated section of the at least one guide groove running below the base plate and essentially parallel to this, while the end pin facing away from the hinge is only in the elongated, underneath the base plate and substantially parallel to this section of the at least one guide groove. The at least one guide rod can be located under the base plate at any time. This has the advantage that the at least one guide groove in the side walls can lie particularly far below the base plate, thus increasing the safety and user-friendliness of the changing unit. The guidance of the pins in the at least one guide groove takes place particularly smoothly through this configuration. However, the second guide means can also have a front pin which is close to the front wall and a rear pin which is close to the rear of the changing furniture, which pins are guided in the at least one guide groove of the first guide means.

The at least one guide groove can have a heart-like shape. In principle, however, all forms are conceivable which bring about a movement of the front wall according to the invention from the closed position into the open position. The at least one pin guided in the at least one guide groove interacts with the at least one guide groove in such a way that the at least one pin slips out of the at least one guide groove.

It goes without saying that the front wall and / or a rear wall and / or one or more side walls can be designed as closed walls, but also as a grid, and can be made of wood, for example. The base plate can also be made of wood.

This in Fig. 1 The winding furniture shown has a rectangular, rectangular base plate 10 in the usual position of use. A rear wall 12 and two side walls 20 rise vertically above the base plate, with at least the side walls 20 being mounted laterally on the base plate 10, so that one each the lower portion of the side walls 20 extends below the base plate 10 and serves as a base of the changing furniture.

To prevent it from falling over the front edge of the base plate 10, a front wall 30 designed as a grating is provided with a lower transverse web 32 and an upper transverse web 34. The upper transverse web 34 has, at both ends facing the side walls, locking means 100 which cooperate with upper grooves 102 arranged on the upper edges of the side walls 20 in such a way that the front wall 30 can be suspended in the side walls 20. The upper grooves each have an elevation 105 which must be overcome by the pins 100 when the front wall 30 is hooked into the side walls 20 and a side surface 107 which cannot be overcome by the pins 100 and thus the front wall 30, as in FIG Fig. 4 and 6 evident. From a closed position, in which the front wall 30 is perpendicular to the base plate 10 and is locked in the vertical position by the locking means 100 and the upper grooves 102, the front wall 30 can, after overcoming the elevation 105, move forward, ie away from the base plate 10 , be pivoted like this in Fig. 1 is shown until it is aligned approximately parallel to the base plate 10. The front wall 30 can then be pushed parallel to the base plate 10 into an open position, as shown in FIG Fig. 2 is shown. The front wall is connected via a first guide means 40 arranged on the lower crosspiece 32 to a second guide means 50 arranged on the lower end of the inner surfaces of both side walls 20 (see Fig. 4 ). The interaction of these guide means 40, 50 allows the front wall 30 to be moved into the open position under the base plate 10. The side walls 20 extend so far vertically below the base plate 10 that there is sufficient space between the base plate 10 and a changing table (not shown) or another flat support in order to accommodate the front wall 30.

Fig. 2 shows the front wall 30 completely sunk under the base plate 10 in the open position. In the open position of the front wall 30, the pins 100 are received by lower grooves 104 in the side walls 20. The front wall 30 lies horizontally below the base plate 10 in the open position. The front wall 30 protrudes a little above the base plate 10, so that a user of the changing furniture can comfortably grip the front wall 30 on its upper crosspiece 34 and move it from the open position into the closed position can. Furthermore, a front end of the second guide means 50 can be seen.

Fig 3. zeigt die Vorderwand 30 nahe der Offenstellung. Fig 3 . shows the front wall 30 near the open position. The lower crosspiece 32 is already pushed under the base plate 10. The front wall is guided in the second guide means 50 via the first guide means 40 arranged on the lower crosspiece 32. The second guide means 50 extends below the base plate and parallel to it. The second guide means 50 comprises a guide groove 52 which extends approximately as far below the base plate 10 as corresponds to the height of the front wall 30. Towards the front, the guide groove 52 runs essentially parallel to the base plate 10 up to the front edge 15 of the base plate 10 and finally merges into a heart-like arc.

Fig. 4 . shows the changing furniture according to the invention in a sectional view. The front wall 30 is in the closed position, so that the pins 100 located on the upper crosspiece 34 of the front wall 30 engage in the upper grooves 102 of the side walls 20. The first guide means 40 comprises a guide rod 120 which is pivotally connected via a joint 110 to the lower end of the front wall 30, in particular to the lower transverse web 32. The guide rod 120 comprises two spaced-apart pins, a joint-side pin 42 and an end-side pin 44 arranged at the other end of the guide rod 120, both of which are guided in the guide groove 52 of the second guide means 50 arranged on or in the side wall 20. The The use of two spaced pins 42, 44 enables the guide means to work together in a particularly stable manner. The hinge-side pin 42 is guided in the heart-like arch as well as in the elongate section of the at least one guide groove 52, which runs under the base plate 10 and essentially parallel to this, while the end pin 44 facing away from the hinge only in the elongate section which runs under the base plate at least one guide groove 52 is guided. The second guide means 50 extends so far under the base plate 10 that the heart-like arc of the guide groove 52 is partially under the base plate. In this way, the security of the changing furniture can be increased, since a small child lying on the changing furniture cannot get limbs caught in the guide groove 52 arranged under the base plate 10. Furthermore, the pins 42, 44 are guided in the guide groove 52 particularly smoothly and in a user-friendly manner due to the at least one guide rod 120. The other side of the changing unit, not shown, has identical first and second guide means.

Fig. 5 . shows the guide groove 52 Fig. 4 in detail. A pin of the first guide means, in the present case the pin 42 of the guide rod 120, is guided in the guide groove 52 in the manner according to the invention. When the front wall 30 is in the closed position, the pins 100 of the upper crossbar 34 of the front wall 30 lie in the upper grooves 102, as in FIG Fig. 4 shown. At the same time, the pin 42 is in a locking position 60 of the guide groove 52. In this closed position, the front wall 30 cannot be moved forward in the direction of the open position due to the locking by the pin 100 and the upper groove 102. A projection 54 of the guide groove 52 also prevents the front wall 30 from being lifted upward from the base plate 10 and thus prevents the front wall 30 from occurring due to an infant lying on the changing furniture. A toddler lying on the base plate 10 of the changing unit can also be hooked up by pulling the front wall 30 up of the feet, for example on the upper crosspiece 34, does not move the front wall 30 out of the closed position and is therefore safely protected against falling from the changing furniture.

This leads to a movement of the pin 42 from the locking position 60 past the projection 54 into the unlocking position 70. Such pivoting is possible since the pin 42 does not lie directly against an underside of the projection 54 in the locking position 60, but rather lies slightly below it located as in Fig. 4 evident. A lifting of the front wall 30 following the pivoting leads to a movement of the pin 42 from the unlocking position 70 into the opening position 80 and a lifting of the pins 100 of the upper crossbar 34 from the upper grooves 102 of the side walls 20. By a movement of the upper crossbar 34 forward, and thus a movement of the pins 100 beyond the elevation 105, the front wall 30 can now be released from the lock and moved into the open position. This position is in Figure 6 shown. These movements, the pivoting and the subsequent lifting of the front wall 30 as well as the forward movement and subsequent movement of the front wall 30 into the open position, can be carried out in a simple manner by gripping the upper crossbar 34 with one or both hands of the operator. The height of the side surface 107 of the upper grooves 102 prevents movement of the front wall 30 in the direction of the toddler lying on the changing furniture, so that the distance between the front wall 30 and the front edge 15 of the base plate 10 always remains sufficiently large to prevent limbs from being trapped To prevent toddler

In this embodiment, the projection 54 has an indentation 55 on its underside facing the locking position 60. When the front wall 30 is lifted without first being pivoted, the pin 42 moves from the locking position 60 into the indentation 55 and is held there in such a manner that it cannot slide along the underside of the projection 54 in the direction of the unlocking position 70. This additionally secures the front wall 30 in the closed position.

The guide groove 52 has, as in Fig. Due to the offset 56 between the vertices C and D and due to the guide sections 57 and 58, the pin 42 is subsequently guided in the direction of the unlocking position 70 by a lowering of the front wall 30 due to gravity. When the front wall 30 is lowered, the pins 100 slide back into the grooves 102 and the front wall 30 pivots back, so that the pin 42 is guided from the unlocking position 70 into the locking position 60. The offset 56 thus ensures, on the one hand, that the pivoted and raised front wall 30 falls back into the safe closed position when the opening movement is not complete, as long as the pin 42 does not exceed the apex D during the opening movement. On the other hand, this configuration facilitates the movement of the front wall 30 from the open position into the closed position, since after the opening position 80 has been reached by means of the pin 42, the front wall 30 can be moved into the closed position without any further force being exerted by the operator.

In order to finally move the front wall 30 from the raised position into the open position and thus the pin 42 from the open position 80 into the open position 90, the pin 42 can be moved to the left or right starting from the open position 80 in two different opening ways. However, due to the offset 56 between the vertices C and D, it may happen that a simple passage through the vertex D by the pin 42 does not work during an opening movement of the front wall. So that the front wall 30 does not undesirably slide back into the closed position and the pin 42 does not slide back into the locking position 60, a second opening path is provided along the opening 86 below the locking position 60. When the raised front wall 30 has been moved forward such that the pins 100 have overcome the ridges 105, lowering the front wall 30 allows the pin 42 to move back from the opening position 80 to the unlocking position 70 past the locking position 60 through the opening 86 and finally be guided into the open position 90. If the raised front wall 30 has not been moved forward in such a way that the pins 100 overcome the elevations 105, such a movement leads to the front wall 30 sliding back into the closed position in the manner already explained.

One inner surface of the guide groove 52 is as in FIG Fig.

In Fig. 7 an alternative guide groove according to the invention is shown, which differs from that in Fig. 5 the guide groove shown differs only by a shoulder 130 below the unlocking position 70 '. The shoulder 130 can make it difficult to move the pin 42 guided in the guide groove from the locking position 60 'into the unlocking position 70' and thus prevent the front wall 30 from swiveling unintentionally. The shoulder is designed in such a way that the front wall 30 must first be raised before it can be pivoted in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture.

Fig. 8 shows a further alternative embodiment of a guide groove according to the invention. Here, too, a pin 42 of the first guide means 40 is pivoted from the locking position 60 "into the unlocking position 70" by pivoting the front wall 30 about a longitudinal axis of the upper transverse web 34 in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture. The pin 42 is guided from the unlocking position 70 "on the opening path 140" by lifting the front wall 30 into the opening position 80 "and finally by moving the front wall 30 into the open position into the open position 90". This embodiment also has an offset 56 "between apexes C" and D ", through which a pin 42 located in the opening position 80" the front wall 30 alone by gravity into the closed position along a closing path 150 "and the front wall 30 is locked in the closed position, provided that the pins 100 of the locking means engage in the upper grooves 102. The opening path 140" is designed in such a way that the pin 42 at Moving the front wall 30 from the closed position into the open position overcomes the opening position 80 "particularly quickly and easily, without getting stuck at one of the apexes C" or D. "The height shoulder 160" at the apex C "also contributes to this in the previous embodiments, a protrusion 54 ″ is provided in the guide groove to prevent the front wall 30 from lifting up from the base plate 10.

Fig. 9 shows a further alternative embodiment of a guide groove according to the invention. Here, too, a pin 42 of the first guide means 40 is pivoted from the locking position 260 into the unlocking position 270 by pivoting the front wall 30 about a longitudinal axis of the upper transverse web 34 in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture. The pin 42 is guided from the unlocking position 270 by lifting the front wall 30 into the open position 280 and finally by moving the front wall 30 into the open position into the open position, not shown. This embodiment has only one opening path but also an offset 256, through which a pin 42 located in the opening position 280 guides the front wall 30 into the closed position solely by gravity and the front wall 30 is locked in the closed position if the pins 100 of the locking means in engage the upper grooves 102.

Fig. 10 shows a further alternative embodiment of a guide groove according to the invention. Here, too, a pin 42 of the first guide means 40 is pivoted from the locking position 360 into the rear wall by pivoting the front wall 30 about a longitudinal axis of the upper transverse web 34 in the direction of the rear of the changing furniture Unlocking position 370 performed. From the unlocked position 370, the pin 42 is guided into the open position 380 by lifting the front wall 30 into the open position 380 and finally by moving the front wall 30 into the open position. This embodiment in turn has two opening paths and also an offset 356, through which a pin 42 located in the opening position 380 guides the front wall 30 into the closed position solely by gravity and the front wall 30 is locked in the closed position if the pins 100 of the locking means in engage the upper grooves 102.
