On the other hand, the larger the curvature radius of the tread strip is, the larger the contact area with the ground is and the slower the rolling is, which is a desired feature in rollerskis. This profile offers a speed of rotation that is more constant along its entire lifetime, since the wheel profile remains constant while wear occurs. In this manner, going downhill is safer for the user and trainings are more homogenous.
