Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of packaging biopharmaceutical fluids and, more particularly, filling a flexible reservoir, in the form of a flexible bag 3D (three dimensions), which must be placed in a rigid container.
- the invention relates to a method of loading such a flexible bag during its filling, a loading and storage system of this flexible bag and a support device and guide for .l implementation of this loading method.
- Biopharmaceutical product means a product derived from biotechnology - culture media, cell cultures, buffer solutions, artificial nutrition liquids, blood products and derivatives of blood products - or a pharmaceutical product or, more generally, a product intended to be used in the medical field. Such a product is in liquid form, pasty, or possibly powdery. The invention is also applicable to filling flexible bags with other products but subject to similar requirements with regard to their packaging.
- a 3D pouch for receiving such a biopharmaceutical product, which has a bottom end wall, an upper end wall and a flexible side wall, which can be in two extreme states - folded flat and deployed unfolded - and be deformed to switch from one to the other of these states or be in any intermediate state.
- the walls of the pouch made of plastics material such as polyethylene or a complex comprising polyethylene, define an internal space which, in the folded state, is of minimum volume and in unfolded and expanded state is maximum. This space is intended to receive the biopharmaceutical product for storage, treatment, control.
- Such a flexible pouch, biocompatible, disposable can be of large volume of at least 50 liters, up to 3,000 liters, or even more, which justifies that it is called 3D.
- Such a pocket thus offers a large capacity while being easily stored.
- An example of such a pocket is described in international application WO00 / 04131 or in document FR 2781202.
- Such a 3D flexible pouch when filled with biopharmaceutical product must be placed in a rigid container which holds it from the outside.
- This type of rigid container is well suited for storage, possibly with a possibility of stacking. Some rigid containers are also used for transport, while others are more particularly adapted to allow weighing. The use of a rigid container is therefore very widespread for the fluid handling contained in a 3D flexible pouch.
- the container storage housing is accessible through an upper transverse opening, delimited by an upper edge, and possibly accessible by means of side doors.
- such a rigid container comprises a lower transverse wall and an erected lateral peripheral axial wall limiting an upper transverse opening access to a housing defined by the inner faces of these walls, adapted to receive the pocket containing the biopharmaceutical fluid which comes to apply against these internal faces.
- Document EP-A-1012073 describes such a container, furthermore provided with a protective and containment wall capable of being placed transversely in the housing of the rigid container, having dimensions such that the transverse clearance between its outer peripheral free edge and the inner face of the side wall facing the rigid container is limited.
- the flexible pouch is conventionally placed in the storage housing of the rigid container to begin filling. Given the large weight and the volume of the bag when it is filled and inflated, the bag is initially positioned at least partly on the bottom of the housing formed by the lower transverse wall. This preliminary positioning makes it possible to avoid handling or transporting the bag in the filled state.
- the pouch has an upper end which extends away from the bottom of the housing and is typically provided with at least one connection port, and preferably at least two ports, for filling.
- the upper end includes, for example, a port for entering or introducing a biopharmaceutical product and a gas supply port.
- Corresponding supply lines each connected to a power source which is generally external to the rigid container, pass through or extend at the upper transverse access opening, to be connected to these respective ports.
- filling can be achieved using a lower feed line.
- the document EP-B1-0326730 describes a filling of this type, with the disadvantage that the flexible bag is more complex, being provided with side flaps, which limits the interest of this type of option. It is generally desirable to limit the complexity and cost of the 3D flexible pouch which is a disposable consumable.
- the subject of the invention is a method of loading, into the storage compartment of a rigid container, a flexible 3D bag which can be filled by a biopharmaceutical product with the aid of at least one flexible supply line.
- the loading method comprises before filling the steps consisting essentially of:
- the charging process comprises the steps of essentially:
- the supply line may be hoisted above the top edge during filling, when the upper end of the flexible bag is moved within the storage housing.
- the support surface is placed on the rigid container so as to extend transversely and laterally outwardly with respect to the determined inner face of the storage housing, whereby the upper end of the pocket flexible is in a position laterally offset from the storage housing when the upper end rests on the support surface.
- the flexible bag is filled using at least one flexible supply line, and preferably two flexible supply lines, and a corresponding number of upper ports, preferably two upper ports, provided in the upper end. the flexible pouch, the side of the determined face.
- at least one flexible supply line is guided along the convex guide surface. Two flexible supply lines can be inserted into the slot which extends for example between two coplanar tablets.
- the flexible bag has a capacity of between 100 and 1000 L, preferably between 200 and 500 L, the storage housing of the rigid container being adapted to contain the entire contents of the flexible bag in a filled state;
- the support device is removably attached to the determined side of the upper edge, by clamping;
- the upper end of the flexible bag is placed at a height level at least equal to the height level of the determined side of the upper edge when it rests on the support surface;
- the support surface and the inner face determined form intersecting planes, so that the angle formed between said first portion and said second portion is between 60 ° and 130 ° before filling, preferably between 70 ° and 1 10 °, and more preferably between about 90 ° and 100 °;
- the second portion of said determined face is part of the upper end of the flexible bag, the upper end of the flexible bag being moved to the inside of the storage housing passively, by simple effect of the increase mass and volume of the assembly formed by the flexible bag and the biopharmaceutical product contained in the flexible bag;
- the support surface is moved from a collapsed position for attachment of the support device to an extended position allowing the support surface to support the upper end of the flexible pouch to a height level higher than the upper edge;
- the deployed position is locked by a contact of at least one lug integral in rotation with the support surface against a stop of the support device which is integral with a fastening element attached to the rigid container;
- the upper end of the flexible bag extends parallel to the support surface which is substantially flat, before filling;
- the flexible supply line is initially placed at a distance from the guide surface when the upper end of the flexible bag is placed on the support surface, the insertion of the flexible supply line into the slot being optionally limited by a spacer member integral with the support device, and the lower end of the flexible pouch is initially kept at a distance from a distal wall of the container opposite to the determined inner face of the container, unfolding the flexible pouch along a bottom of the storage compartment allowing, during filling of the flexible pouch pulling the upper end of the flexible pouch into the storage housing so that said flexible supply conduit engages and moves against the guide surface.
- the subject of the invention is a system for loading and storing a 3D flexible pouch filling a biopharmaceutical product with at least one flexible supply line located at an upper end of the flexible pouch.
- the system comprising a rigid container having a bottom, a side wall extending longitudinally from the bottom to an upper edge delimiting an upper transverse opening, so as to define a storage housing for receiving the flexible pouch in a filled state, the storage housing being accessible through the upper transverse opening,
- a support device which comprises:
- raising means which extend between an inner edge adjacent to the upper transverse opening and at least one outer edge, the raising means defining a support surface which extends transversely outwards from the inner edge up to said outer edge, the support surface being adapted to maintain the upper end of the flexible pouch to be filled outside the storage housing;
- a convex guiding surface which extends between the two surface portions and delimits an end of the slot, the guiding surface covering a portion of the upper edge.
- raising is meant the fact of maintaining a height level close to that of the upper edge for the upper end of the flexible bag, which allows to position this upper end in a plane with predominantly horizontal component.
- This transverse orientation of the area where connected the supply lines can bring frontally the port for connection with the flexible supply line against the guide surface.
- the convex term is understood, for the guiding surface, as the fact of presenting a general curved and projecting appearance towards the junction zone between the feed pipe and the pocket. Knowing that the flexible conduit (s) are maintained opposite the guide surface and between the two surface portions. The convex curvature of the guiding surface facilitates movement into the storage housing of the upper end of the flexible pouch smoothly or securely.
- the support surface extends to a height level at least equal to the height level of the determined side of the upper edge.
- the convex guide surface has, in cross section, a continuous rounded profile C;
- the distance between the inner edge and the outer edge is less than the smallest dimension of the storage compartment, this distance possibly representing between 10 and 40% of a width of the storage housing;
- the fixing element comprises, to allow a removable attachment of the support device on the determined side of the upper edge, at least one gripping element;
- the element or elements of clasping comprise a positioning member having a U-shaped profile in cross section and forming two parallel branches separated by a distance greater than the thickness of the determined side of the upper edge, and means for clamping to lock in position the positioning member;
- the clamping means comprise an elongated element which defines a first end end intended to be in contact against an outer face of the rigid container, a second end which passes through a branch defined among the branches of the positioning member;
- the clamping means comprises a clamping adjustment member, movable relative to the elongate member and engaged with the second end of the elongated member for adjusting the relative position of the elongated member relative to the determined branch;
- the slot is located in a median position on the determined side, so that there is a virtual vertical median plane that passes through the slot and the through hole.
- a support device adapted to be combined with a rigid container to form the loading and storage system according to the invention.
- This support device includes:
- a fixing element which extends longitudinally between two ends and has a lower face adapted to be fixed on the determined side of the upper edge
- raising means which extend between at least one outer edge and one inner edge adjacent to the upper transverse opening in a mounted state of the support device on the rigid container, the raising means defining a support surface which is extends transversely outwardly from the inner edge to said outer edge, the support surface forming an upper face of the support device;
- a slot which separates said support surface into two surface portions, preferably opening on the side of the outer edge, the slot defining a passage for the flexible supply line when the upper end of the pocket rests on the surface of the support;
- a convex guide surface which extends between the two surface portions and delimits an end of the slot, the guide surface being opposite to the inner face of the fixing element and adapted to cover a portion of the upper edge in a mounted state of the support device on the rigid container, the support surface extending generally in a plane which intersects the guide surface or extending above the guide surface, so that the support surface keep the upper end of the flexible pouch filled with outside the storage slot and preferably at a predefined height level.
- the convex guide surface comprises a rear end portion of the support surface, extends in a longitudinal direction parallel to the fastening element and has, in cross section, a continuous rounded profile in C, knowing that when the support surface defines a horizontal plane, the lower face of the fixing element defines at least one longitudinal cavity opening vertically on the opposite side to the support surface and opening horizontally by at least one of the ends of the fixing element.
- the device has one or more tablets, for example a first tablet for defining all or part of one of the two surface portions of the support surface, and a second tablet for defining all or part of the other of the two portions. surface of the support surface;
- the first tablet and the second tablet are coplanar and each have a side edge to form a side of the slot, the slot opening outwardly on the side of the outer edge;
- a spacing member separate from the guide surface and which extends transversely to the slot between two ends, one of which is secured to the first shelf and the other is secured to the second. Tablet ;
- the spacer member is offset forwards relative to the rear end) of the slot
- the spacer member defines an end surface oriented towards a front end of the slot and is adjustable in position relative to the raising means, so as to adjust a spacing distance between said front surface and the inner edge of the means. enhancement;
- the support device comprises a hinge on the fastener, so that the raising means are rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the fastener between a folded position and an extended position;
- At least one locking member is provided to block the raising means in the deployed position; at least one guide slot is formed on the fastening element, about the longitudinal axis, in order to guide a rotational movement of all or part of the raising means, this guide slot defining respectively a front stop and a backstop, the backstop stopping said rotational movement when the deployed position of the raising means is obtained.

- FIGS. 1 and 3 An example of a loading and storage system 1 for a flexible bag 2 of the 3D type is visible in FIGS. 1 and 3.
- the loading and storage system 1 comprises a rigid container 3 which has a bottom 3a, a side wall 3b extending longitudinally from the bottom 3a to an upper edge 3c delimiting an upper transverse opening 4, so as to define a storage housing 5 for receiving the flexible bag 2 in a filled state.
- the storage housing 5 is accessible through the upper transverse opening 4.
- the bottom 3a is here defined by a lower transverse wall 6 and may, if necessary, include a through hole 6a for an optional flexible pipe 7 connected to a lower end 2a of the flexible bag 2.
- the passage opening 6a may optionally be provided with an adjustable guillotine (not shown) of a type known per se and adapted to lock the position of the flexible pipe 7 crossing the bottom 3.
- the lower transverse wall 6 is disposed horizontally or substantially horizontally while the side wall 3b is erected and disposed vertically or substantially vertically, possibly slightly flared from the lower transverse wall 6. The description is made in connection with this situation.
- the container rigid 3 may, in some cases, be placed differently, for example for cleaning.
- the rigid container 3 made of plastic or other synthetic or metallic material, preferably made of stainless steel, comprises, for example, an assembly - possibly dismountable and reassemblable - of several parts in the general form of solid or substantially solid, planar or substantially flat panels. , as well as connecting parts, reinforcement, and any accessories.
- the side wall 3b is formed by a front panel 30, a rear panel 31 and two joint panels 32 and 33 which extend between the front panel 30 and the rear panel 31 .
- the rigid container 3 may have a base 34 in the lower part, for example in the form of feet (here four feet) which extend vertically from the corner areas of the transverse wall 6.
- This base 34 which extends here below the lower transverse wall 6, allows, among other things, to raise the lower transverse wall 6 above the ground and to access or allow to associate ports, fittings, conduits or the like. Such a base 34 also allows to provide spaces for the passage of forks of a pallet carrier type carrier.
- the rigid container 3 may have various configurations, since it is specially adapted to receive and maintain a flexible pouch 2 of the 3D type, itself specifically intended to contain a biopharmaceutical fluid B as defined above.
- the rigid container 3 comprises, on its side wall 3c or on one or more of its constituent panels, one or more doors 30b, 30c or one or more orifices to access the interior 5.
- such orifices or access are located so as to be in correspondence with ports, orifices, conduits provided on the pocket 2 or associated therewith.
- similar access may be provided in a cover (not shown).
- the flexible bag 2 is partially inserted into the housing 5 before the filling process.
- This flexible bag 2 is placed along a determined inner face 8 of the storage housing 5, so that the lower end 2a is folded and extends substantially flat against the bottom 3, while the end upper 2b of the flexible bag 2 extends beyond the upper transverse opening 4, outside the storage slot 5.
- the passage hole 6a is preferably remote from the inner face 8 formed by the front panel 30 and can, by cooperating with the flexible pipe 7, to center the flexible bag 2 vis-à-vis the bottom 3a of the rigid container 3. It may be noted that the ends 2a and 2b of the flexible bag 2 do not extend along the inner face 8 but transversely to the latter.
- each of the flexible pipes 7 and 9a-9b is preferably equipped with a pinch clamping member C1, C2, C3.
- the flexible pouch 2 is positioned against or possibly with a small spacing relative to this inner face 8, without element or accessory interposed between the main part of the flexible pouch 2 (this part being complementary to the ends 2a and 2b) and the inner face 8. It is therefore necessary to place the flexible bag 2 completely away from the opposite inner face formed by the panel 31, preferably with the least a contact of the lower and / or upper side of this inner face 8.
- the determined inner face 8 may be flat and with a substantially vertical component, in particular when the format of the flexible pouch 2 is parallelepipedal in the filled state.
- the bottom of the pocket 2 formed by the bottom wall W1 is in this case in contact with the transverse wall 6, as shown in Figure 4A.
- the dimensions of the bottom wall W1 (with the exception of the thickness) may be considered identical or substantially equal to those of the bottom 3a of the storage housing 5.
- the housing 5 may have a depth H5 which corresponds substantially to the length of the longest side L2 of the hexagonal format of the flexible bag 2 (format clearly visible in Figure 2A when the flexible bag 2 is in a state not filled).
- the rigid container 3 has a parallelepipedal format with a length L and a width L3 (so with L ⁇ L3).
- the depth H5 is preferably greater than the width L3 and can also be greater than the length L.
- the housing 5, deeper than wide, allows the flexible bag 2 containing the biopharmaceutical fluid B, when filled as in Figure 2C, to bear against each of the inner faces of rigid container 3 in parallelepiped format.
- the length L1 of the flexible bag 2 in its initial state before filling is greater than the depth H5 and greater than the height of the flexible bag 2 in its deployed state. and filled (this height being substantially equal to the length L2).
- the dimensions H5, L and L3 may be adjacent, so that the housing 5 has a general shape close to a cube or substantially a cube. These lengths can be included, depending on the case, of the order of 400 cm and 1200 cm, so that the internal volume of the housing 5 can be of the order of 50 liters or 100 liters, but also reach 1000 liters, these data being illustrative but not limiting.
- the depth H5 can vary between 520 cm and 1000 cm for typical achievements.
- a capacity of between 200 and 500 L may be preferred.
- the lower transverse wall 6 and / or the side wall 3b may have external reinforcing ribs.
- the dimensions of the rigid container 3 and those of the flexible pouch 2 of the 3D type are in adequation, so that the housing 5 is able to receive this flexible pouch 2.
- the flexible pouch 2 type 3D will now be described with reference to Figures 2A, 2B and 2C.
- Such a pocket 2 has a bottom wall W1, an upper wall W2 and a flexible side wall W3 which can be in two extreme states - folded flat and deployed unfolded - and be deformed to pass from one to the other of these states or be in any intermediate state.
- the flexible bag 2 When the flexible bag 2 is filled with biopharmaceutical fluid B, it is inflated, more or less strongly. While its lower wall W1 can rest on the inner face of the wall 6 of the rigid container 3, its side wall W3 is pressed against the inner face of the side wall 3c of the rigid storyteller 3.
- the flexible bag 2 comprises one or more inlet or delivery or filling openings, in particular in the form of ports 12a-12b (called upper ports in the following), in particular on the upper wall W2, one or more openings outlet, or discharge or emptying, in particular on the wall lower W1, especially in the form of ports 1 1.
- the rigid container 3 is arranged to allow access to these openings, for example through the passage opening 6a.
- the inlet openings are able to be closed when necessary and / or a clamp-type member C1 -C2 is used to close the access inside the flexible bag 2.
- the outlet or openings are able to be opened when necessary and / or a clamp member C3 is used to release the passage through the flexible pipe 7.
- the flexible pouch 2D in the folded flat state has two opposite faces, the ports 1 1 and 12a-12 being provided on one of these faces 14.
- the other two faces (visible on the Figure 2C) are folded.
- the pocket portions forming these other two faces are shaped bellows flat and inserted between the two opposite faces.
- the flat state of the flexible pouch 2 as obtained immediately after manufacture, is allowed not the superposition of the weld lines 61, 61 'and 62, 62'.
- the four longitudinal welding lines 61, 61 ', 62 and 62' formed between two walls forming adjacent faces are made by three heat-type welds and K-welds are formed as described in the document EP 1 012 227 B1.
- a removable cover provided with gripping and handling members (not shown) can be placed, by its annular edge, on the upper edge 3c free of the rigid container 3. If necessary, there is provided means for rapid locking of such a cover in the closed position. The upper opening 4 is then hidden.
- FIGS. 2A-2C it can be seen that the respective ports 1 1, 12a-12b for the connection of the flexible pipes 7 and 9a-9b are provided on the same determined face 14 of the flexible bag 2. Consequently, as illustrated on FIG. Figures 3 and 4A, it is understood that the flexible bag 2 is positioned on the loading and storage system 1, so that:
- the lower end 2a of the flexible bag 2 is contiguous to the bottom 3 of the side of the determined face 14 of the flexible bag 2;
- a first portion 14a of the determined face 14 is vis-à-vis the inner face determined 8 of the rigid container 3;
- the loading and storage system 1 comprises, on the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c, a support device 20 which extends this determined side radially outwards 15.
- the support device 20 comprises at least one fastening element 21 to allow anchoring on the rigid container 3, this fixing element 21 resting on the determined side 15 in the fixed state.
- the fastening element 21 is formed of a block, it is understood that the anchoring can be achieved by at least two anchors fixed on two distinct regions of the determined side 15.
- the fastener 21 extends longitudinally between two ends 21a, 21b and has a lower face adapted to attach to said determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c.
- This lower face is preferably broadly concave.
- the rigid container 3 is typically of parallelepipedal shape and, more generally, may have a front panel 30 which extends in a vertical or substantially vertical plane and a determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c, located on the side of the front panel 30, which is substantially horizontal.
- the support device 20 may advantageously be fixed only on this determined side 15, preferably away from the corners of the container 3.
- raising means T are mounted on the fastener 21, preferably hinged about an axis X parallel to the determined side in the mounting configuration.
- These raising means T define a support surface 22 serving to hold the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 outside the storage housing 5, preferably at a height level at least equal to the height level of the determined side. when it rests on the support surface 22, as clearly visible in Figures 3 and 4A.
- the raising means T are provided with a slot 23 which separates the support surface 22 into two surface portions 22a, 22b.
- the raising means T comprise, in this non-limiting example, a first shelf 25 and a second shelf 26 for defining, respectively, a first surface portion 22a and a second surface portion 22b of the support surface 22.
- the first tablet 25 and the second tablet 26 are here coplanar and may be optionally connected to one another by an elongated portion 27 which is rotatable relative to the fastening element 21. As can be seen in FIG.
- this elongated portion 27 extends parallel to the axis X and rotates around it to make it possible to obtain a folded configuration of the support device 20, in a position folded towards the front panel 30.
- the elongate portion 27 can be made in one piece with the shelves 25, 26 or can form an extension (radially inward) which is part of the raising means T.
- the elongate portion 27 here defines a length L20 of the support device 20 which is for example of the order of half the length of the determined side 15 or greater than this half.
- the inner edge 27a of the elongated portion is for example located below the edge 3c in the folded position and above the edge 3c in an extended position of the raising means T.
- the length of the support device 20 can be adapted according to the needs but it is preferable that the length L20 of the support device 20 is at least equal to the length L4 of the edge 2e defined at the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 of type 3D, as shown in Figure 5B.
- the elongate portion 27 has an inner edge which may be rectilinear and parallel to the side 15. It is understood that, in the deployed position, the support surface 22 extends from the elongated portion 27, laterally outwardly relative to the inner face determined 8, as clearly visible in Figures 5C-5D.
- the length LT of the raising means T may be greater than or equal to (L1-L2) / 2, which makes it possible to support the whole of the upper end 2b of trapezoidal format (see FIGS. and 5A-5B). It may be noted that the upper ports 12a, 12b of the flexible bag 2 are for example placed near the free edge 2e (here rectilinear) formed at the upper end 2b, at a radial distance less than the length LT.
- the distance between the inner edge and the outer edge, defining the length LT may be less than the depth H5 of the storage housing 5, the length LT preferably representing between 10 and 40% of the H5 depth.
- the support device 20 can thus be relatively compact and easier to position.
- the fastening element 21 may comprise at least one positioning member 28, for example in the form of one or more U-section or J-section profiles, possibly extending over an identical length. or near the length of the elongate portion 27.
- the positioning member 28 has an intermediate section 28a, here horizontal, which rests on the upper edge 3c in the mounting configuration.
- the profile or profiles of the positioning member 28 also include for example a front branch 28b and a rear branch 28c which extend from the intermediate section 28a and define a cavity 29.
- the rigid container 3 may optionally have a rim, forming the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c, which can be inserted into the cavity 29.
- one or more notches can be provided in the front branch 28b or in the rear branch 28c.
- an upper portion of the rigid container 3, which forms a portion of the frame surrounding the opening 4, can form a bearing region with preferably three faces each vis-à-vis one of internal faces of the positioning member 28.
- the bearing region, which fills the cavity 29, comprises a front surface portion which can be formed by the upper end 30a of the front panel 30.
- the front branch 28b and the rear branch 28c extend on both sides of the upper edge 3c in the mounting configuration and maintain the support device 20 on the upper edge 3c.
- These front branches 28b and rear 28c are for example parallel, as can be seen in FIG. 7.
- the positioning member 28 may have a U-shaped profile in cross-section and the two branches 28b-28c are separated from each other. a distance greater than the thickness e of the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c.
- several cavities 29 may be defined by the branches 28b-28c (or tabs) and the intermediate section 28a, for example to form several tight fixing zones F1, F2 on an upper portion of the rigid container 3. This is the case for example for the support device 20 shown in Figure 6.
- the cavity 29 (here longitudinal) defined by the lower face of the fastening element 21 opens vertically on the opposite side to the support surface 22 and discharges horizontally through at least one of the ends 21a and 21b of the fastening element 21.
- clamping means 41 to lock the positioning member 28 in position.
- the positioning member 28 and the clamping means 41 form at least one gripping element which allows a removable attachment of the support device 20.
- the clamping means 41 comprise an elongated element 42, here a rod provided with a suction cup V which defines a first support end 42a.
- the first support end 42a is movable to come into contact with an external face of the rigid container 3, for example the external face of the front panel 30.
- a second end 42b of the elongated element 42 has or supports an adjustment element 43 tightening.
- a nut or similar member may thus make it possible to advance the elongated element 42 and a similar rotary handle or gripping member may form part of this element 43, to facilitate the locking and unlocking of the clamping means 41.
- the clamping adjustment element 43 may be used for example in a folded configuration of the raising means T (as in FIG. 6), in order to adjust the clamping force against the upper end 30a of the front panel 30a or surface similar to the support region.
- the clamping adjustment element 43 is preferably movable relative to the elongated element 42 and engaged with the second end 42b of the elongated element 42.
- the clamping adjustment element 43 has, for example, a tubular portion which has an internal thread cooperating with a threaded portion of the elongate member 42. More generally, it is understood that the clamping adjusting member 43 is engaged with the second end 42b to adjust the relative position of the elongate member 42 relative to one of the branches 28b-28c, here the front branch 28b of the positioning member 28.
- the clamping adjustment element 43 can be engaged, directly or indirectly, against the determined branch 28b. This makes it possible to block the element 43 in translation. It is understood that by lengthening the portion of the elongated element 42 which is situated in the cavity 29, the clamping force is increased against the part of the rigid container 3 which is inserted. in the same cavity 29 and the support device 20 can not disengage accidentally. The position of the positioning member 28 is locked. To remove the device 20, it is sufficient to manipulate the clamping means 41 by actuating the adjusting element 43, for example according to a rotational movement in the illustrated example, so as to move the elongated element 42 backwards and so on. reduce the length of the portion of the elongate member 42 located in the cavity 29.
- One advantage of using a clamping fastener 21 is to facilitate the positional adjustment of the support device 20 to the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c. It is indeed allowed to slide or the clasping elements 28, 41 on the upper edge 3c, for example to center the slot 23. It is indeed preferable that the slot 23 is located in a central position on the determined side 15, so that there is a vertical virtual median plane P which passes through the slot 23 and possibly through the passage opening 6a, as shown in Figure 3.
- the locking of the deployed functional position (position visible in FIGS. 1, 3, 4A-4B, 5A-5D and 7) can be realized by a contact against a stop 46 which is secured to the fastening element 21 attached to the rigid container 3.
- Bearings 48 may be provided in the fastening element 21 to allow the rotation of the raising means T movable in rotation around the X axis, which defines a longitudinal axis of the fastening element 21.
- the bearing 48 has a guide slot 49 which extends around the longitudinal axis X, to guide the rotational movement of all or part of the raising means T.
- This guide slot 49 defines respectively a stop 46 or back stop and a front stop 45 located lower than the stop 46 in the mounted configuration of the support device 20 and forward relative to the front branch 28b.
- the stop 46 stops the rotational movement when the extended position of the raising means T is obtained, while the front stop 45 defines the end of travel corresponding to the folded position of the raising means T.
- one or several articulated locking members 51 in the form of a connecting rod or the like, connect the raising means T to the fastening element 21, in order to block and maintain the raising means T in the deployed position.
- the articulated locking member 51 has, in the embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 7, a connecting end 51a to the fastening element 51.
- This connecting end 51 is pivoted about a secondary axis Y situated lower than the longitudinal axis and lower or substantially at the same level as the front stop 45.
- the hinged locking member 51 has another end 51 b connected a pivot 52 formed laterally on one of the shelves 25, 26 or similar part of the raising means T.
- the position of the pivot 52 and the dimensioning of the guide slot 49 are adapted so that each of the shelves 25 and 26 extends from coplanar manner and substantially horizontally in the deployed position.
- the support surface 22 allows here, in this deployed position, to support the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2, at a height level higher than the upper edge 3c.
- the hinged locking member 51 is removed and another form of locking is used, for example by a wedge which fits under the raising means T once the extended position obtained.
- the raising means T have at least one insertion member such as a lug 53 to engage against the abutment 46 in the deployed position.
- a lug 53 projecting in a direction parallel to the axis X, in opposite directions, can be formed for example on either side of the raising means T to engage respectively with one and the other end 21a and 21b of the fastening element 21.
- the protruding pin 53 or similar insertion member extends outwardly from a side edge of the tablet 25 and moves in the guide slot 49 between the stops 45 and 46.
- the raising means T may be designed where appropriate without articulation and, in this case, the bearings 28 and the movable connecting elements may be deleted.
- the raising means T define a support surface 22 which extends transversely with respect to the front panel 30 of the rigid container 3. More generally, it is understood that the raising means T extend between at least one outer edge (remote from the opening 4) and an inner edge 55 adjacent to the upper opening 4 in a mounted state of the support device 20 on the rigid container 3.
- the support surface 22 extends transversely outwardly from the inner edge 55 to the outer edge, forming an upper face of the support device 20.
- the slot 23 opens through example externally, the side of the outer edge which can be broken down into two portions 54a and 54b discontinuous outer edge.
- the raising means T have a radial extension LT at least equal to half the width of the slot 23.
- This slot width is also typically less than one-third of the length of the determined side 15.
- This arrangement makes it possible to obtain a support surface 22 sufficiently extended in two directions to maintain a flattened configuration of the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2, while the slot 23 is suitably sized to effectively guide the flexible supply lines 9a, 9b, for example between two side edges 23b and 23c formed by the shelves 25 and 26. This guidance is visible in particular in Figures 5A to 5D.
- the slot 23 is here wide enough to allow the passage of at least two flexible supply lines 9a, 9b connected to respective upper ports 12a and 12b of the flexible bag 2, when the upper end 2b rests on the support surface 22.
- the slot 23 passes vertically through the raising means T, so that the flexible supply lines 9a, 9b extend under the raising means T and close to the front panel 30 by passing through the slot 23 between the inner edge 55 and the outer edge 54a, 54b.
- the support device 20 comprises, on the inner edge 55 side, a convex guiding surface 60 which extends between the two surface portions 22a and 22b and delimits an end 23a. of the slot 23.
- the guide surface 60 is opposite the inner face of the fastener 21 and may for example be defined by all or part of an upper face of the elongate portion 27.
- This guide surface 60 s extends above the level of the upper opening 4, covering a portion of the upper edge 3c, on the determined side 15, in the mounted state of the support device 20.
- the support surface 22 generally extends in a plane which intersects the guide surface 60 or extends above this guide surface 60.
- the support surface 22 makes it possible to maintain the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 to be filled outside the housing of storage 5 and at a height level pr is defined at least equal to the level of the guide surface 60.
- the inner edge 55 of the raising means T can be defined by the side of the guide surface 60 opposite the slot 23.
- FIG. 2B and FIG. 3 show that the flexible pouch 2 of the 3D type can initially be folded against the internal edge 55 of the raising means T in the deployed position of the support device 20 mounted on the container 3. The upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 then extends parallel to the support surface 22 which is substantially flat, before filling.
- An angle A can then be formed, in the zone in contact with the guide surface 60, between the first portion 14a and the second portion 14b of the determined face 14 of the flexible bag 2.
- This angle A is for example between 60 ° and 130 °, and preferably between 70 and 1 10 °.
- An angle of the order of 90 ° and less than 100 ° may be preferred to facilitate the holding of the upper end 2b outside the storage housing 5 at the beginning of filling, while effectively guiding the flow through from the flexible bag 2 to the lower end 2a.
- the second portion 14b may extend parallel to the inner face 8 which is flat (and typically vertical) when filling has not begun or is insufficiently advanced to significantly deform the second portion 14b.
- the angle A corresponds to the angle formed between the support surface 22 and the inner face 8 of the panel 30, as can be deduced in particular from Figures 3B and 4A. Although these figures show an angle of about 90 °, it should be understood that the raising means T can be positioned differently, the inclination defined by the support surface 22 can make this angle smaller (up to 60 ° for example) or larger (up to 130 ° for example).
- the guide surface 60 has, for example, in cross-section, a continuous rounded profile in C. It extends in a longitudinal direction parallel to the fixing element 21, just above this fixing element 21.
- the profile of the guide surface 60 may be the same along the length of the guide surface 60, this length possibly corresponding to the spacing distance between the side edges 23b and 23c, which are here parallel to each other. other.
- the curvature of this profile without significant relief or sharp angle, allows the flexible pipes 9a, 9b to slide smoothly, under the effect of the deployment of the flexible bag 2 on the side of its lower end 2a.
- This rounded profile accompanies the change of orientation of the ports 12a, 12b, which go from a downward orientation to an upward orientation. This change of orientation is illustrated by the sequence of FIGS.
- a half-tube curvature may be formed from the end 23a of the slot 23 (or lower) to the opposite side which may define an intermediate portion of the inner edge 55 of the support surface 22, passing over the positioning member 28 of the fastening element 21.
- the guide surface 60 extends over a height H which is preferably at least 2 cm, and more preferably at least 4 cm. It will thus be understood that this defines a bulge which defines a gradual transition between the lowest level of the guide surface 60 and the highest level.
- the portion of the guide surface 60 which defines the end 23a of the slot 23 extends below the support surface 22 defined by the raising means T in the deployed position.
- the supply lines 9a, 9b can engage on the guide surface 60 well before the associated upper ports 12a, 12b are introduced inside the storage housing 5.
- an additional surface for contact with the flexible supply line 9a and possibly other adjacent flexible conduits 9b is defined by a spacer member 66 which extends transversely with respect to the slot 23 and extends from one to the other of the two shelves 25, 26.
- the spacing member 66 may be in the form of a roll optionally rotatable, a bar with convex outer surface, flat element with rounded end or other suitable shape, which preferably extends parallel to the determined side 15.
- the organ spacer 66 preferably has a greater stiffness than the material constituting the flexible conduits 9a, 9b, at least in the portion forming the additional contact surface.
- the spacer member 66 may extend across the slot 23 so as to define a front intermediate space 35 and a rear intermediate space 36 between the shelves 25 and 26. Alternatively, the spacer 66 may extend below the level of the slit 23.
- the flexible supply line 9a is thus initially kept at a distance from the guide surface 60, preferably extending outside the rear intermediate space 36 as illustrated in FIG. 8. It will be understood that the spacer member 66 limits the insertion stroke of the flexible supply line 9a in the slot 23, and thus better maintain the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 outside the storage slot 5.
- the spacer 66 can be integral with one and / or the other of the tablets 25, 26. More generally, the spacer member 66 may be mounted on the raising means T at the front of the guide surface 60, removably or fixed, spaced or not. With reference to FIG. 9A, the mounting position of the spacer 66 may be selected from a plurality of positions more or less close to the rear end 23a of the slot 23.
- Pre-determined anchoring members 37 may thus be formed on the slices 23b and 23c delimiting the slot 23. Each of the ends 66a and 66b of the spacer member 66 is then fixedly held on the anchoring element 37 corresponding.
- the anchoring elements 37 may be reliefs, male and / or female shape. Fixing can be achieved for example by engagement between housing and protruding projections resiliently deformable. Any other type of attachment can of course be used, for example a magnetic fastening or clamping.
- the location of the attachment may vary, with a zone of attachment in the slot 23, near the slot 23 or at a distance from the slot 23.
- the mounting position of the spacer 66 may be adjusted similarly to that shown in Fig. 9A, but with the use of a pair of continuous grooves 38 which allows sliding the spacer member 66 in a direction perpendicular to the panel 30 in the mounted position of the support device 20.
- the latter here extends across the slot 23, parallel to the determined side 15. Friction sliding may be preferred to avoid using a specific slide locking device.
- the spacer member 66 may be configured to engage with locking in at least one of the grooves, for example by actuating a quarter-turn rotation of the spacer 66. More generally any locking system in position of the spacer 66 may be used.
- the spacer member 66 ' is here embodied in the form of a nestable assembly on one or more ends in front of the raising means T.
- the raising means T comprise two shelves 25, 26, the spacer 66 'may have:
- a first sheath 661 which envelopes the tablet 25;
- a second sheath 662 which envelopes the tablet 26
- an intermediate portion 660 which extends across the slot 23 or under the slot 23, and extends between the first sheath 661 and the second sheath 662 to form the surface for contact with the supply line (s) 9a, 9b.
- the adjustment in position of the intermediate portion 660 is made by sliding each of the first and second sleeves 661, 662.
- the shelves 25, 26 and the sleeves 661, 662 here have an identical format with equal dimensions, it is understood that that different general shapes and different dimensions, especially for the dimension in the direction perpendicular to the wall 30, can be used.
- the locking in position of the intermediate portion 660 is for example permitted by the engagement of at least one clamping device 39 integral with the sheath 661 or 662, against a bearing surface of a corresponding shelf 25 or 26.
- This bearing surface here formed by the outer side edge 25d opposite the slot 23, is preferably distinct from the surface portions 22a, 22b which form the surface of support 22.
- the spacing distance d6 (see FIG. 10) between the front surface of the spacer member 66 or 66 'and the internal edge 55 of the raising means T can be modified in order to adapt to the size of the soft pocket 2.
- a support device 20 is fixed on the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c, here without screwing device against the container 3.
- the device 20 has a support surface 22 optionally formed by two uprights 71, 72 which is inclined in the extended position. With such inclination, it is understood that the position of the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 is maintained outside the storage housing 5, and at a higher height level to the case illustrated in Figures 4A and 5A.
- the angle A may be greater than 90 °, preferably between 104 ° and 130 ° with such an (upward) configuration of the support surface 22 in the deployed position which allows the loading of the flexible bag 2.
- the raising means T inclined with a position higher than the level of the upper edge 3c, laterally deviate less from the end wall 30 when the support surface 22 is substantially horizontal. With such inclination, the forces exerted on the fastener 21 due to the weight loaded on the support surface 22 can be reduced.
- the positioning member 28 of the fastening element 21 may for example have a U-shaped section at least on the side of the two ends 21a, 21b.
- the branch 28c and the branch 28b vis-à-vis have a respective length much greater than the thickness e, while the intermediate section 28a is almost as short as the thickness e to minimize the play between the two branches 28b, 28c in the engaged state of the positioning member 28 on the edge 3c.
- the support device 20 has an auxiliary fastening element 210 which can be adjacent to the fastening element 21 and engages with the upper edge 3c of the container 3 in a manner comparable to the fastening element 21.
- the auxiliary fastening element 210 may have at least two hooks 21 1 or similar retainers which are here formed on two opposite sides (near the ends 21a, 21b) of the support device 20, on the one hand and on the other. other of the rear end 23a of the slot 23.
- Each hook 21 1 can define a concave zone 74 of contact with the upper edge 3c, in a folded position which minimizes the bulk of the support device 20 around the container 3 .
- the support device 20 is thus entirely comparable to the variants of FIGS. 9A-9B.
- a spacer 66 whose position can be adjusted by the presence of predetermined anchoring elements 37a, 37b, 37c here in the form of notches.
- the support device 20 may optionally have a part formed of a block for defining the fastening element 21, the auxiliary fastening element 210 and the raising means T (without the spacer member 66 or with this in an option without adjustment of the spacer 66).
- a filling process with deployment of the flexible pouch 2 of the 3D type, using the support device 20 fixed on the upper edge 3c of the rigid container 3, will now be described by way of non-limiting example, with reference to FIGS. 2A-2C, 3, 4A-4B and 5A-5D.
- the flexible bag 2 whose upper end 2b is placed on the support surface 22, is connected to the pumping device 10 by at least one of the flexible supply lines 9a, 9b. This connection is made outside the storage housing 5 and the flexible supply pipe or ducts 9a, 9b hang from the upper ports 12a, 12b, passing through the slot 23 in the vertical direction, as illustrated in particular in the figures. 3 and 4A.
- the flexible bag 2 is flat as shown in Figures 2B and 3.
- the flexible pipe 7 connected to the port 1 1 of the lower end 2a can be engaged in the passage hole 6a.
- the flexible pouch 2 can then, in this case, have before filling two fold lines close respectively to the upper end and the lower end of the front panel 30.
- the support device 20 is here placed on the upper edge 3c so that the slot 23 is substantially equidistant from the two joining panels 32 and 33, as shown in FIG. 3. This positioning makes it possible to minimize or even eliminate the filling problems caused by folds formed along the joining panels 32, 33.
- Each of the supply lines 9a, 9b is initially placed at a distance from the guide surface 60 when the upper end 2b of the flexible bag 2 is placed on the support surface 2.
- the lower end 2a of the flexible bag 2 is initially maintained in the half of the storage housing 5 located on the side of the inner face 8.
- the bag 2 is thus kept at a distance from the distal wall 31, opposite to the inner face 8, so that this distal wall 31 does not not obstructing an unfolding of the lower end 2a along an unfolding line Z parallel or substantially parallel to the X axis.
- FIG. 3 shows a possible location of the unfolding line Z. In practice in the case of a pocket flexible 2 as shown in Figure 2A, this unfolding line Z may typically coincide with the free edge 2f (here rectilinear edge) of the bag 2.
- FIGS. 4A and 4B show schematically the unfolding which takes place during filling, on the side of the bottom wall W1 around the unfolding line Z. Such an unfolding occurs for example when the filling is between 5 and 30% the capacity of the flexible bag 2, typically around 10%.
- FIG. 5B shows a filling state of the flexible bag 2 which precedes an unfolding more than 90 ° around the unfolding line Z. It can be seen that the upper port or ports 12a, 12b can be moved along the slot 23, at least at the beginning of filling. Then, we arrive at a filling state of the flexible bag 2 in which the unfolding was carried out up to about 180 ° around the unfolding line Z (which coincides here with the position of the edge 2f), as shown in Figure 4B and Figure 5C in particular.
- the unfolding angle corresponds to 180 ° in the case of a substantially plane bottom 3a and it is more generally understood that the unfolding be made to fit the bottom surface 3a.
- the slot 23 which separates the support surface 22 into two surface portions 22a, 22b makes it possible to guide the advancement of the upper end 2b towards the upper opening 4.
- a major part of the flexible bag 2 remains kept close to the inner face 8 and no biopharmaceutical product retention zone B is formed at a distance from the bottom wall W1.
- the height level of the ports 12a, 12b is here at least equal to the height level of the upper edge 3c, which promotes the flow of the biopharmaceutical product B towards the storage housing 5, towards the lower end 2a.
- the filling fluid flows freely into the pocket (without blocking).
- each supply line 9a, 9b, guided between the side edges 23b and 23c delimiting the slot 23, can engage against the guide surface 60
- the curvature of the convex guiding surface 60 which preferably drops below the height level of the support surface 22, makes it possible to avoid the risk of blocking a supply duct 9a, 9b against a wall the rigid container 3.
- the rounded profile of the guide surface 60 without protruding angle or significant rim, in fact prevents the jamming of the flexible supply lines 9a, 9b.
- the guide surface 60 here has a radial extension which may be greater than the thickness e of the determined side 15 of the upper edge 3c. It is therefore understood that these supply lines 9a, 9b do not may not bend at an angle less than or equal to 90 ° in the vicinity of the guide surface 60.
- the upper end 2b can penetrate fully into the storage housing 5, due to the reduction in height of the flexible bag 2 during its filling (as can be seen by comparing FIGS. 2A and 2C).
- the upper end 2b is then still substantially flat, as shown in Figure 5C. It is understood that the unfolding on the side of the upper wall W2 (along the 2nd edge) is delayed and can begin after the end of the unfolding which occurs on the side of the bottom wall W1 (unfolding along the edge 2f, under the effect of the accumulation of biopharmaceutical fluid B in the lower part of the storage compartment 5).
- An advantage of the method is that the displacement of the upper end 2b is passive, by the effect of this accumulation which increases the mass and volume of the assembly formed by the flexible bag 2 and the biopharmaceutical product B qu 'it contains.
- the flexible supply duct or lines 9a, 9b are positioned through the front intermediate space 35 and abut against the spacer 66 or 66 '.
- This position of the flexible supply lines 9a, 9b also promotes the retardation of unfolding on the side of the upper wall W2.
- the position of the front surface of the spacer 66 or 66 '(more or less distant from the inner edge 55) can be adjusted according to the size of the flexible bag 2, by moving the fastening area or tightening the spacer 66 or 66 'relative to the raising means T.
- the flexible bag 2 can thus be moved gradually and continuously, without blocking.
- the filling is then optimal up to a filling state greater than or equal to 50%, as illustrated in FIG. 5D.
- No human intervention is necessary to reposition the flexible bag 2, in particular at the time of deployment of the lower wall W1 around the fold line Z.
- the support device 20 can be put in the folded position, in order to facilitate access to the interior of the container 3 and to the soft pocket 2 for single use.
- the folded position makes it possible not to hinder the operator and reduce clutter.
