Especially the invention concerns a method and a device that enable saving power, avoiding unnecessarily complicated operation and circuitry, and increasing reliability in a driver device that can be temporarily put into a standby mode.

  • the driver device may have two or more output stages that each have their own secondary windings in the isolation transformer (although two- or multichannel driver devices can also have a shared secondary winding in the isolation transformer, so that the same bus voltage nodes serve the bus voltage to all parallel output stages).
  • An optocoupler is not the only possible way of conveying feedback across a borderline between galvanically isolated parts, and the changes in the way in which the bus voltage feedback signal reflects the actual bus voltage can be implemented with e.g. switch networks or other kinds of circuits different than the one described above.

Claims (12)

  1. Treibervorrichtung für Leuchtmittel, umfassend:
    - eine Primärseite, die dazu vorgesehen ist, eine Eingangsspannung zu empfangen,
    - eine Sekundärseite, die dazu vorgesehen ist, eine Ausgangsspannung zu erzeugen, wobei die Sekundärseite galvanisch von der Primärseite getrennt ist,
    - eine Stromversorgung (202, 203, 601, 602), die dazu vorgesehen ist, eine Busspannung für die Sekundärseite zu erzeugen, wobei ein Trenntransformator (203) der Stromversorgung die Grenzlinie (106) zwischen der Primär- und der Sekundärseite überbrückt,
    - primärseitig eine primärseitige Steuerung (207), die dazu vorgesehen ist, die Stromversorgung (202, 203, 601, 602) zu steuern,
    - sekundärseitig eine sekundärseitige Steuerung (205), und
    - eine Rückkopplung (401, 402, 501) von der Sekundärseite zu der Primärseite;
    wobei die sekundärseitige Steuerung (205) dazu vorgesehen ist, die Rückkopplung (401, 402, 501) zu verwenden, um die primärseitige Steuerung (207) zu veranlassen, die Busspannung während des Standbymodus als eine erste Standbymodus-Funktion herabzusetzen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die primärseitige Steuerung (207) dazu vorgesehen ist, einen herabgesetzten Wert der Busspannung zu erkennen und die Stromversorgung (202, 203, 601, 602) zu veranlassen, mindestens eine weitere Standbymodus-Funktion in Reaktion auf einen erkannten herabgesetzten Wert der Busspannung zu implementieren.
  2. Treibervorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, umfassend eine Hilfswicklung in dem Trenntransformator (203) zum Erzeugen (403) einer Hilfsspannung an der primärseitigen Steuerung (207), wobei die primärseitige Steuerung (207) dazu vorgesehen ist, den herabgesetzten Wert der Busspannung indirekt durch ein erkanntes Herabsetzen der Hilfsspannung zu erkennen.
  3. Treibervorrichtung nach Anspruch 2, wobei die Hilfsspannung eine Betriebsspannung der primärseitigen Steuerung (207) ist.
  4. Treibervorrichtung nach Anspruch 2 oder 3, die einen Komparator (404) umfasst, der konfiguriert ist, um eine Größe der Hilfsspannung oder einen Abtastwert davon mit einer Referenzspannung zu vergleichen und einen Standbybefehl an die primärseitige Steuerung (207) in Reaktion darauf zu erzeugen, dass die Hilfsspannung oder ein Abtastwert davon kleiner als die Referenzspannung ist.
  5. Treibervorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei:
    - die Stromversorgung (202, 203, 601, 602) eine Reihenkopplung eines Leistungsfaktorkorrekturwandlers (601) und eines zweiten Wandlers (602) umfasst, und
    - die mindestens eine weitere Standbymodus-Funktion das teilweise oder vollständige Deaktivieren des Leistungsfaktorkorrekturwandlers (601) umfasst.
  6. Treibervorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, umfassend eine Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungsschaltung (701, 702), die dazu vorgesehen ist, einen Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert für die primärseitige Steuerung (207) bereitzustellen, wobei:
    - die primärseitige Steuerung (207) dazu vorgesehen ist, die Leistungsfaktorkorrektur auf der Primärseite in Reaktion darauf zu deaktivieren, dass der Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert eine vorbestimmte Grenze erreicht oder überschreitet, und
    - die Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungsschaltung (701, 702) dazu vorgesehen ist, zu verhindern, dass der Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert während des Betriebs der Treibervorrichtung die vorbestimmte Grenze erreicht oder überschreitet, wenn die primärseitige Steuerung (207) die Busspannung in Verbindung mit dem Standby-Betrieb nicht herabgesetzt hat, und um zu ermöglichen, dass der Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert die vorbestimmte Grenze während des Betriebs der Treibervorrichtung erreicht oder überschreitet, wenn die primärseitige Steuerung (207) die Busspannung in Verbindung mit dem Standbymodus herabgesetzt hat.
  7. Treibervorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, umfassend:
    - primärseitig eine Schalterstromanzeigekopplung (804), die dazu vorgesehen ist, einen Schalterstromanzeigewert zu erzeugen, der einen Strom durch einen Leistungsschalter (802) in der Stromversorgung (202, 203, 601, 602) anzeigt,
    - primärseitig eine Vorspannungsschaltung (805, 806, 807, 808, 809), und
    - sekundärseitig eine Busspannungsrückkopplungsschaltung;
    wobei die Busspannungsrückkopplungsschaltung dazu vorgesehen ist, die Rückkopplung (401, 402, 501) zu verwenden, um einen Busspannungsrückkopplungswert für die primärseitige Steuerung (207) bereitzustellen, und wobei die Vorspannungsschaltung (805, 806, 807, 808, 809) konfiguriert ist, um den Schalterstromanzeigewert um einen Vorspannungswert zu erhöhen, der eine Differenz zwischen der Busspannung und dem Busspannungsrückkopplungswert anzeigt, und wobei der um den Vorspannungswert erhöhte Schalterstromanzeigewert den Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert bildet.
  8. Treibervorrichtung nach Anspruch 7, wobei:
    - die Schalterstromanzeigekopplung (804) eine Kopplung von einem Strompfad, entlang dem sich der Leistungsschalter (802) befindet, zu einem Stromrückkopplungseingang der primärseitigen Steuerung (207) umfasst,
    - die Vorspannungsschaltung (805, 806, 807, 808, 809) eine Kopplung (805) von einem zur Busspannung proportionalen Potential über einen Vorspannungsschalter (809) zu dem Stromrückkopplungseingang umfasst, und
    - der Vorspannungsschalter (809) dazu vorgesehen ist, in Reaktion auf einen herabgesetzten Busspannungsrückkopplungswert leitend zu werden und in Reaktion darauf, dass das Potential proportional zur Busspannung kleiner als eine vorbestimmte Grenze wird, nichtleitend zu werden.
  9. Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Treibervorrichtung für Leuchtmittel, umfassend:
    - Erzeugen einer Busspannung aut auf einer galvanisch getrennten SekundÄrseite der Treibervorrichtung, und
    - Verwenden einer Rückkopplung (401, 402, 501) von der Sekundärseite zu einer Primärseite der Treibervorrichtung, um eine primärseitige Steuerung (207) zu veranlassen, die Busspannung während des Standbymodus als eine erste Standbymodus-Funktion herabzusetzen,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verfahren umfasst
    - Erkennen eines herabgesetzten Wertes der Busspannung, und
    - Implementieren, durch Aktionen der primärseitigen Steuerung (207), von mindestens einer weiteren Standbymodus-Funktion auf der Primärseite in Reaktion auf einen erkannten herabgesetzten Wert der Busspannung.
  10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, wobei die mindestens eine weitere Standbymodus-Funktion auf der Primärseite das teilweise oder vollständige Deaktivieren eines Leistungsfaktorkorrekturwandlers (601) umfasst.
  11. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9 oder 10, wobei ein herabgesetzter Wert der Busspannung indirekt durch Erkennen einer Herabsetzens einer Hilfsspannung erkannt wird, die durch eine Hilfswicklung in einem Trenntransformator (203) erzeugt wird, der die Grenzlinie (106) zwischen der Primär- und der Sekundärseite überbrückt.
  12. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 11, ferner umfassend:
    - teilweises oder vollständiges Deaktivieren der Leistungsfaktorkorrektur (601) der Primärseite in Reaktion darauf, dass ein Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert eine vorbestimmte Grenze erreicht oder überschreitet,
    - Verhindern, dass der Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert die vorbestimmte Grenze während des Betriebs der Treibervorrichtung erreicht oder überschreitet, wenn die primärseitige Steuerung (207) die Busspannung nicht in Verbindung mit dem Standbymodus herabgesetzt hat, und
    - Ermöglichen, dass der Sendeleistungs-Rückkopplungswert die vorbestimmte Grenze während des Betriebs der Treibervorrichtung erreicht oder überschreitet, wenn die primärseitige Steuerung (207) die Busspannung in Verbindung mit dem Standbymodus herabgesetzt hat.
