Definitions
- the invention relates to the technical field of tank waste storage systems, including buried tank, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a waste storage system is known from EP-A-2,284,105 .
- Such a storage system generally comprises a concrete tank at least partially buried in which is formed a waste container adapted to receive the waste. When it is desired to empty the storage system, it is sufficient to empty the container, for example by removing it from the tank, pouring the contents into a dump truck and repositioning it in the tank.
- the waste in question is, for example, household waste, kitchen waste, green waste, cardboard or paper packaging, or glass, to name just a few examples. Some of these wastes are wet, and so a liquid is likely to ooze this waste. This liquid is commonly called leachate.
- the bottom of the container is not perfectly sealed, a portion of the leachate generally flows out of the container to the bottom of the tank. Since it is generally not planned to empty the tank, the leachate accumulates at the bottom of the tank and generates olfactory nuisances for users of the storage system. In addition, hygiene problems can result from the accumulation of leachate at the bottom of the tank.
- one solution may be to purge and regularly clean the bottom of the tank. But this requires the intervention of significant human and material resources.
- An object of the invention is to prevent the leachate leaking waste from flowing to the bottom of the tank and to recover it.
- the leachate leaking waste located in the upper and through container the bottom of the upper container falls on the lid of the lower container.
- the shape of this lid allows the leachate to flow by gravity to the orifice and thus to the interior of the lower container. This ensures that the leachate escaping from the upper container flows into the lower container and not into the tank, the bottom remains immaculate.
- the leachate is stored in the lower container, it is also possible to recover a later valuation.
- edges of the opening of the lid of the lower container are extended by retention walls extending substantially vertically downwards.
- the smelly vapors leachate stored in the lower container are partially blocked by the retention walls, which limits the emission of unpleasant odors to the outside of the lower container.
- the upper and lower containers are removable.
- the upper container has a bottom having at least one orifice and having a shape adapted to direct liquids to the orifice by gravity.
- the orifice of the upper container is located opposite the orifice of the lower container.
- the leachate flows directly from the upper container to the lower container. In this way, it is less likely to dry on the lid of the lower container.
- the lid of the lower container has the same general section as a funnel.
- the lid of the lower container is formed by two walls inclined towards the opening of the lower container.
- the lid of the lower container thus has a simple shape. This lid is easy to manufacture.
- the storage system further comprises means for connecting means for pumping the liquid present in the lower container.
- the lower container is formed by a waterproof membrane formed in a grid support.
- the grid support keeps the membrane shaped to receive the leachate flowing from the upper container.
- the membrane When the membrane is either worn or filled, simply remove it and replace it with a new membrane.
- the lower container is easily exchangeable.
- the lower container has rigid and sealed walls.
- the lower container requires a reduced level of maintenance, since it is sufficient to empty it when the leachate it contains has reached a predetermined level, and to clean it if desired.
- the upper container is placed on the lower container.
- the tank has at least one retaining wall of the upper container, this retaining wall projecting on an inner surface of a side wall of the vessel.
- the tank has a retaining shoulder of the upper container.
- FIG 1 a waste storage system 2 according to one embodiment of the invention.
- This storage system 2 comprises a storage tank 4, an upper container 6 formed in the tank 4 and intended to receive waste, and a lower liquid-tight container 8 formed in the tank 4 and positioned under the upper container 6.
- tank 4 delimits an internal volume of generally rectangular parallelepiped whose largest sides are substantially parallel to the vertical direction.
- the tank 4 is intended to be at least partially buried in the ground and is for example made of concrete.
- the upper 6 and lower 8 containers are removable to facilitate the emptying of the containers 6, 8 and are for example made of a plastic material.
- the storage system 2 is also provided with a terminal 10 having an access duct inside the tank 11.
- terminal 10 When a user wishes to deposit a waste in the storage system 2, it does so through of terminal 10.
- the latter improves the ergonomics of the storage system 2 because thanks to it, the user does not need to bend to deposit a waste in the storage system 2.
- the lower container 8 comprises a lid 12 having at least one orifice 14, said lower orifice, and having a shape adapted to direct liquids to the lower orifice 14 by gravity. It is thus able to guide drops of liquid, in particular leachate L , flowing from the upper container 6 through the bottom thereof to the interior of the lower container 8.
- the cover 12 of the lower container 8 in a plane of section of the figure 2 which is vertical, has the same general section as a funnel.
- the lid 12 of the lower container 8 is formed by two flat walls 12a, 12b inclined towards the orifice 14 of the lower container 8.
- the lid 12 of the lower container 8 has a completely different shape.
- the upper container 6 is placed on the lower container 8.
- the upper container 6 has a bottom 15 having at least one orifice 16, said upper orifice, and having a shape adapted to direct the liquid to the upper orifice 16 by gravity. In this way, the leachate L leaking waste located in the upper container 6 is directed to the upper orifice 16 to facilitate its evacuation to the lower container 8.
- the upper orifice 16 is located in view of the lower orifice 14 to allow the direct flow of leachate L from the upper container 6 to the lower container 8.
- edges of the lower orifice 14 are extended by retention walls 18 extending substantially vertically downwards, that is to say towards the inside. of the lower container 8.
- the leachate L stored in the lower container 8 emits smelly vapors rising in the lower container 8. These vapors are partially trapped in areas 20 delimited by the retention walls 18 and by the cover 12. These zones 20 are delimited by discontinuous lines shown in the figures.
- the procedure is as follows.
- the upper container 6 is removed from the tank 4 and emptied of its waste, for example in a dump truck.
- the lower container 8 is then removed from the tank 4 and empty of the leachate L that it contains, for example also in a dump truck.
- FIG 3 a waste storage system 2 according to an alternative embodiment of the invention.
- This variant differs from the embodiment of the Figures 1 and 2 in that the lower container 8 is formed by a waterproof membrane 22 formed in a grid support 24.
- the leachate L is held by the waterproof membrane 22 until it is necessary to empty the container lower 8.
- the tank 4 further has at least one retaining wall 25 of the upper container 6, the retaining wall 25 being substantially horizontal and projecting on a surface
- This retaining wall 25 forms a raven extending all around the side wall.
- the retaining wall 25 is fixed detachably, for example by screwing, on the side wall and is for example made of a metal. It can be provided that the retaining wall 25 does not extend all around the sidewall but is divided into four retaining walls each extending on one of the four sides of the side wall of the vessel 4 , each of the four retaining walls extending only over part of the width of the face of the side wall of the tank 4 to which it is attached, for example half that length.
- the manufacturing cost of the retaining wall 25 is reduced. It will also be possible to replace this retaining wall with four support members, for example rectangular metal posts, extending substantially parallel to the direction vertical and fixed to the bottom of the tank 4 in the four corners of the tank 4. These support members are intended to support the upper container 6.
- the tank 4 also has a retaining shoulder 26 of the upper container 6.
- the retaining wall 25 and the retaining shoulder 26 have shapes capable of cooperating with the shape of the upper container 6 to hold it in place in the tank 4 .
- the storage system 2 of the figure 3 has no terminal. It is instead provided with an access cover to the tank 28, for example rotatably mounted around a vertical or horizontal axis, or movably mounted in horizontal translation. This cover 28 delimits an upper end of the storage system 2, and is placed for example at ground level or at non-zero height of the floor to improve the ergonomics of the storage system 2.
- FIG 4 a storage system 2 according to another embodiment of the invention.
- the lower container 8 comprises rigid and sealed walls 29. It is for example made of a stainless metal, optionally reinforced with structural reinforcements. These reinforcements make it possible to pressurize the leachate L present in the lower container 8, for example for the purpose of cleaning the latter, without deteriorating the walls 29 of the lower container 8. This ensures that the lower container 8 has a sufficiently long mechanical life so that it is not necessary to change it.
- connection means 30 to means for pumping the liquid present in the lower container 8.
- connection means include in particular a duct 32 which extends out of the tank 4 and opens to the outside at ground level, in the open air. It eventually opens under a locked protection plate 34 which only authorized operators have the means to unlock it. It can be provided that the duct 32 extends largely inside the tank 4, or even completely in the tank 4, or that the storage system 2 is provided with a pumping system such as that described. in the document FR-2 960 226 .
- an operator opens the protection plate 34 and connects the connection means 30 to a pump where the conduit 32 opens out. It can then pump the leachate L present in the lower container 8.
- tank and the upper and lower containers may be made of materials different from those set forth above. They may also have other forms than those described in the foregoing and in the drawings.
- the retaining wall may be integral with the side wall of the vessel.

Description
The waste in question is, for example, household waste, kitchen waste, green waste, cardboard or paper packaging, or glass, to name just a few examples. Some of these wastes are wet, and so a liquid is likely to ooze this waste. This liquid is commonly called leachate. The bottom of the container is not perfectly sealed, a portion of the leachate generally flows out of the container to the bottom of the tank. Since it is generally not planned to empty the tank, the leachate accumulates at the bottom of the tank and generates olfactory nuisances for users of the storage system. In addition, hygiene problems can result from the accumulation of leachate at the bottom of the tank.
To overcome this problem, one solution may be to purge and regularly clean the bottom of the tank. But this requires the intervention of significant human and material resources.
Moreover, it can be interesting to be able to recover the leachate, because it is generally rich in minerals and thus forms a very good complement for the solutions of agricultural methanization.
An object of the invention is to prevent the leachate leaking waste from flowing to the bottom of the tank and to recover it.
- a storage tank,
- an upper container formed in the tank and intended to receive waste, and
- a lower liquid-tight container provided in the tank and positioned under the upper container,
Thus, the leachate leaking waste located in the upper and through container the bottom of the upper container falls on the lid of the lower container. The shape of this lid allows the leachate to flow by gravity to the orifice and thus to the interior of the lower container. This ensures that the leachate escaping from the upper container flows into the lower container and not into the tank, the bottom remains immaculate. The leachate is stored in the lower container, it is also possible to recover a later valuation.
Advantageously, edges of the opening of the lid of the lower container are extended by retention walls extending substantially vertically downwards.
Thus, the smelly vapors leachate stored in the lower container are partially blocked by the retention walls, which limits the emission of unpleasant odors to the outside of the lower container.
Advantageously, the upper and lower containers are removable.
It is thus easy to purge the containers, since it is sufficient to remove them from the tank, to empty them and reposition them in the tank.
Advantageously, the upper container has a bottom having at least one orifice and having a shape adapted to direct liquids to the orifice by gravity.
This directs the leachate present in the upper container to the lower container. In this way, the leachate accumulates less in the upper container, which reduces the emanation of bad odors.
Preferably, the orifice of the upper container is located opposite the orifice of the lower container.
The leachate flows directly from the upper container to the lower container. In this way, it is less likely to dry on the lid of the lower container.
Advantageously, in a vertical section plane, the lid of the lower container has the same general section as a funnel.
Advantageously, the lid of the lower container is formed by two walls inclined towards the opening of the lower container.
The lid of the lower container thus has a simple shape. This lid is easy to manufacture.
Advantageously, the storage system further comprises means for connecting means for pumping the liquid present in the lower container.
Thus, when it is necessary to empty the lower container, simply connect a pump to the connection means and pump the leachate out of the lower container.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the lower container is formed by a waterproof membrane formed in a grid support.
Thus, the grid support keeps the membrane shaped to receive the leachate flowing from the upper container. When the membrane is either worn or filled, simply remove it and replace it with a new membrane. According to this embodiment, the lower container is easily exchangeable.
According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the lower container has rigid and sealed walls.
This ensures that the lower container has a sufficient life so that it is not necessary to replace it. According to this embodiment, the lower container requires a reduced level of maintenance, since it is sufficient to empty it when the leachate it contains has reached a predetermined level, and to clean it if desired.
Preferably, the upper container is placed on the lower container.
Thus, it is possible to reduce the size of the means for supporting the upper container formed in the tank, or even to dispense with such means of support.
Advantageously, the tank has at least one retaining wall of the upper container, this retaining wall projecting on an inner surface of a side wall of the vessel.
Advantageously, the tank has a retaining shoulder of the upper container.
These simple means make it possible to support the upper container in the tank.

In order to reduce the emission of bad odors from the
When it is desired to empty the upper 6 and lower 8 containers, the procedure is as follows. The

Of course, many modifications may be made to the invention without departing from the scope of the appended claims. The tank and the upper and lower containers may be made of materials different from those set forth above. They may also have other forms than those described in the foregoing and in the drawings.
The retaining wall may be integral with the side wall of the vessel.
It will also be possible to combine the various embodiments with each other.
