Definitions

  • the invention relates to a suction device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • suction cups are moved with the chassis during the suction work.
  • the operator pulls the vacuum cleaner through the suction hose that is connected to the vacuum cleaner. It is often necessary that the suction cup is not moved during the suction operation, but rather that it remains in a fixed position. However, this is difficult or impossible to guarantee.
  • the invention is based on the object of designing the generic suction device in such a way that it can be held in a fixed position simply and reliably, at least during the suction process, if required.
  • the suction cup according to the invention is provided with the braking part which can be adjusted between a rest position and a braking position.
  • the brake part is in the rest position so that the chassis can easily be driven in the desired direction.
  • the suction cup is to assume a fixed, unchangeable position, the braking part is moved into the braking position.
  • the spring under whose force the brake part is, moves beyond a dead center. This ensures that the brake part is securely held in the braking position by the spring.
  • the vacuum cleaner's chassis can no longer move in the braking position so that the suction cup retains its desired fixed position.
  • the braking part is moved back from the braking position to the rest position, the spring again exceeding the dead center.
  • the brake part is also reliably held in the rest position by the spring. The braking part cannot be unintentionally moved into the braking position during the suction process.
  • the braking part is provided with at least one base body. It lies in front of the chassis in the direction of travel of the vacuum cleaner.
  • the base body can thus be conveniently operated by the operator, in particular with his foot, in order to adjust the braking part between the rest position and the braking position.
  • the main body can also serve as shock protection if the vacuum cleaner encounters obstacles during the suction process.
  • the brake part is preferably pivotably mounted on the underside of the chassis.
  • the pivot bearing is thus covered at the top by the chassis, so that there is no risk of the pivot bearing being damaged.
  • the base body is provided with at least one curved ramp. It is designed so that it makes it easier to drive over speed bumps.
  • the curved ramp lifts the vacuum cleaner slightly when driving over the threshold, so that the steering wheels of the chassis can easily drive over the threshold.
  • the curved ramp is particularly advantageous when the steering wheels of the chassis have a smaller diameter than the wheels on the opposite side of the chassis. Due to the curved ramp, thresholds can be overcome by the vacuum cleaner without great effort.
  • the ramp is formed by the curved edge of at least one arm of the base body.
  • the arm is advantageously designed in the form of a plate and arranged on edge. As a result, it takes up little space, but thanks to its curved outer edge, it ensures that the vacuum cleaner is safely lifted when driving over thresholds, so that the vacuum cleaner can drive over the thresholds.
  • the arm protrudes over the base body and has at least one axis with which the brake part is pivotably mounted on the chassis.
  • the arm thus not only serves as a drive-on ramp when driving over thresholds, but also forms the carrier for the pivot axis in order to connect the braking part to the chassis in an articulated manner.
  • the base body has a front wall and a rear wall, the front wall and the rear wall diverging from one another in the direction of their free end.
  • This design of the base body allows it to be easily manufactured using the injection molding process, with easy removal from the mold being possible due to the diverging shape of the front and rear walls.
  • no complicated tools are required for the manufacture of the base body for the injection molding process.
  • At least one grip opening is preferably provided between the front wall and the rear wall of the base body. With it it is possible to grasp the teat to empty the container by the handle opening in order to pivot it.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment is given when the handle opening is delimited by the front wall and the rear wall.
  • the hand can therefore go into the space between the front and rear walls engage the base body and in this way simply lift or swivel the teat to empty the teat container.
  • the braking part has deflecting surfaces which are inclined to the direction of travel of the chassis. If the vacuum cleaner hits vertical obstacles, for example a door frame, then these deflection surfaces ensure that the vacuum cleaner is deflected past these obstacles.
  • the deflecting surfaces are advantageously in the area next to the front wall of the main body.
  • the spring with which the braking part is held in the rest position and in the braking position is advantageously a tension spring, one end of which is suspended in an axis of the chassis and the other end of which is suspended in an axis of the braking part.
  • the tension spring can therefore be mounted very easily on the suction cup.
  • the brake part So that the brake part is properly secured in position in the rest position, it is provided with at least one stop with which it rests against a counter-stop of the chassis in the rest position.
  • the spring pulls the stop of the braking part against the counter stop of the chassis. This prevents the braking part from being unintentionally adjusted in the direction of the braking position during suction.
  • connection for the suction hose is advantageously on the same side of the suction cup as the brake part. This ensures that the braking part, when it assumes the braking position, is not accidentally moved into the rest position by pulling the suction hose.
  • the brake part forms a multifunctional part that not only serves as a brake or parking support, but also for lifting the vacuum cleaner to empty the container and to drive over thresholds is used.
  • the inclined surfaces of the braking part also ensure that the suction cup is deflected laterally, for example when it hits an obstacle, so that it can bypass this obstacle.
  • the vacuum cleaner has a housing 1 which rests on a chassis 2.
  • the chassis 2 has an approximately rectangular outline.
  • Wheels 3, 4 are rotatably mounted in each of the corner areas.
  • the wheels 3 have a larger diameter than the steering wheels 4.
  • the wheels 3, 4 can, however, also have the same diameter.
  • a cover 5 is placed on the housing 1 and is detachably connected to the housing 1 by at least one quick-release fastener.
  • switching elements 7 for actuating the suction motor.
  • mains connection socket 8 for the mains cable and an on / off switch 9 for the suction motor in the cover 5.
  • two handles 10, 11 for carrying the teat are provided on the cover 5.
  • the housing 1 is provided with a connection 12 for a suction hose (not shown).
  • a brake part 13 is provided on the chassis 2, with which the vacuum cleaner can be parked if necessary so that it does not roll further unintentionally.
  • the brake part 13 is also designed so that it makes it easier to drive over bumps.
  • the brake part 13 can also serve as a handle when emptying the teat.
  • the brake part 13 forms a multifunctional part with which a wide variety of functions can be carried out, which are described in more detail below.
  • the braking part 13 is pivotably mounted on the chassis 2 in the area between the two steering wheels 4.
  • the braking part can be moved from a braking or parking position ( Fig. 2 ) to a rest position ( Fig. 4 ) can be pivoted.
  • the braking or parking position the braking part 13 rests on the ground 14, as a result of which the sucker is raised in the area of the steering wheels 4.
  • the rest position the braking part 13 is pivoted upwards so that it has no contact with the ground 14.
  • the suction cup can be moved easily in this position.
  • the braking part 13 has a shield-shaped base body 15 which is designed as a profile part. It has a front wall 16 which merges into a rear wall 17. The front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 run diverging in the direction of their free ends ( Fig. 2 ).
  • the front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 each merge at an obtuse angle into end sections 18, 19 of the base body 15.
  • the end sections 18, 19 run diverging from the base body 15.
  • the transition from the base body to the end sections 18, 19 is preferably continuous.
  • a wall 20, 21 is provided at the free ends of the end sections 18, 19 ( Fig. 5 ), which connects the front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 to one another in the area of these end sections 18, 19.
  • the two walls 20, 21 are in a common plane, as from Fig. 6 emerges.
  • Both walls 20, 21 extend over the entire height of the end sections 18, 19 and are each provided with a slot 22, 23. It extends in the vertical direction of the wall 20, 21 and ends at a distance from the transition from the front wall 16 to the rear wall 17.
  • the slots 22, 23 are open at the free end of the walls 20, 21.
  • the slots 22, 23 advantageously widen in the direction of their open end.
  • the end sections 18, 19 have the diverging outer surfaces 24, 25, which serve as lateral deflectors when the suction device is used, if the suction device should collide with obstacles with these inclined external surfaces 24, 25.
  • the inclined outer surfaces 24, 25 ensure that the suction cup is deflected to the side accordingly. Since the outer surfaces 24, 25 are located adjacent to the steering wheels 4, in this case the vacuum cleaner is easily deflected to the side so that it can drive around the obstacle.
  • stiffening ribs 26 On the front wall 16 there are stiffening ribs 26 which are spaced apart from one another and protrude slightly over the front wall 16 and run parallel to one another.
  • the stiffening ribs 26 extend over the height of the front wall 16 into the transition area 27 to the rear wall 17.
  • the stiffening ribs 26 are advantageously provided evenly distributed on the front wall 16.
  • the walls 20, 21 are connected to the front wall 16 by an intermediate wall 28, 29 each. Both partition walls 28, 29 are parallel to one another and each extend at right angles to the front wall 16 and to the walls 20, 21.
  • the partition walls 28, 29 serve to stiffen the base body 15 Fig. 6 As can be seen, the partition walls 28, 29 are located in the area between the slots 21, 22 and the transition between the walls 20, 21 and the rear wall 17.
  • the base body 15 forms a hollow profile part which is only light in weight but nevertheless has high strength.
  • the front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 each have the same height over their length. Since the front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 run diverging in the direction of their free ends, a grip opening 30 is formed between the two walls, into which the user of the teat can reach when he wants to lift the teat to empty the housing 1.
  • the handle opening 30 extends between the two intermediate walls 28, 29.
  • the partition walls 28, 29 protrude beyond the rear wall 17 of the base body 15. These protruding parts of the partition walls 28, 29 form arms 31, 32 which are arranged on edge and each have a support piece 33, 34 for an axis 35, 36 at their free end.
  • the support pieces 33, 34 are formed in one piece with the arms 31, 32 and are directed towards one another at the same height.
  • the axes 35, 36 are aligned with one another and serve as pivot axes via which the brake part 13 is pivotably connected to the chassis 2.
  • the axes 35, 36 protrude beyond the outer sides of the arms 31, 32 that are facing away from one another.
  • the other ends of the two axles 35, 36 are connected to one another by a connecting piece 37 which has legs 38, 39 lying V-shaped to one another, which are each provided at one end with a bearing piece 40, 41 in which the support pieces 33 , 44 opposite ends of the axles 35, 36 are attached.
  • the other ends of the legs 38, 39 are connected to one another via a U-shaped intermediate piece 42. Between the two legs 43, 44 of the intermediate piece 42, an axis 45 is attached, into which a tension spring 46 is suspended in a manner to be described.
  • the legs 38, 39 and the intermediate piece 42 are directed against the rear wall 17 of the base body 15.
  • the intermediate piece 42 is at a sufficient distance from the rear wall 17.
  • a web 48 projects from the free edge 47 of the rear wall 17 and extends over the length of the free edge 47 and up to the slots 22, 23 of the walls 20, 21.
  • the web 48 contributes to the stiffening of the base body 15.
  • the intermediate piece 42 is at a small distance from the web 48.
  • the braking part 13 is designed symmetrically to its longitudinal center plane and is advantageously produced in one piece as a plastic injection-molded part. With the ends of the axles 35, 36 protruding beyond the arms 31, 32, it is in bearing openings 49, 50 engaged in bearing arms 51, 52 of the chassis 2 ( Fig. 6 ).
  • the bearing arms 51, 52 are flat and edgewise.
  • the free edge of the arms 31, 32 has a continuously curved lower edge 53 which, at the end facing away from the front wall 16, connects to a transverse edge 54 which connects the curved edge 53 with a straight edge 55. While the transverse edge 54 adjoins the curved edge 53 at right angles, it merges into the edge 55 in a continuously curved manner. With its end facing away from the transverse edge 45, it adjoins a further transverse edge 56, which is curved in an arc-shaped manner and adjoins the front free edge 57 of the arms 31, 32.
  • the brake part 13 is pivotably connected to the chassis 2 via the axles 35, 36.
  • the compression spring 46 is hung with one end in the axle 45 and with its other end in an axle 56 on the chassis side.
  • the tension spring 46 is always under tension.
  • the vacuum cleaner In this position of the brake part 13, the vacuum cleaner can be moved on the substrate 14 without any problems to carry out the suction work.
  • the front wall 16 and the rear wall 17 of the base body 15 are directed in the direction of the substrate 14.
  • the handle opening 30 formed between the two walls 16, 17 is thus open at the bottom, the entry end into the handle opening 30 being at a distance from the substrate 14. Therefore, with the cover 5 removed, the suction cup can be tilted, for example if it should be emptied. The user can comfortably reach into the handle opening 30 from below with his hand and lift the suction device at this point.
  • the inclined outer surfaces 24, 25 of the base body 16 form deflection surfaces if the vacuum cleaner should encounter vertical obstacles such as a door frame. Since the braking part 13 is located in front of the chassis 2 in the direction of travel, the inclined outer surfaces 24, 25 first come into contact with the obstacle. As a result of the inclined position of these outer surfaces 24, 25, the chassis 2 and with the suction cup are deflected laterally so that the suction cup can be driven past the obstacle.
  • the brake part 13 is pivoted downward about the pivot axis 35, 36 against the force of the tension spring 46.
  • the user can pivot the damping part 13 downward with his foot.
  • the curved runner-shaped edges 53 of the arms 31, 32 come into contact with the ground ( Fig. 3 ).
  • the front wall 16 finally reaches the ground 14 with its front side.
  • the curved edges 53 of the arms 31, 32 have a course such that in the braking or parking position according to FIG Fig. 2 the chassis 2 is lifted from the ground in the area of the steering wheels 4. The chassis 2 is thus supported on the ground 14 via the brake part 13.
  • the suspension axis 45 for the tension spring 46 crosses the straight line 60, so that in the braking / parking position according to FIG Fig. 2 the axis 45 is now on the right side of the straight line 60.
  • braking part 13 is reliably held in the braking / parking position by tension spring 46.
  • the suction cup Since the braking part 13 rests with the front or visible side of the front wall 16 on the substrate 14 in the braking / parking position, the suction cup is securely locked in the braking / parking position.
  • the curved edges 53 face the substrate 14. If, for example, the vacuum cleaner drives over thresholds, these curved edges 53 form ramps which make it easier to drive over the thresholds and thereby relieve the steering wheels 4. The vacuum cleaner can therefore be driven over thresholds without great force.
  • the lateral, inclined outer surfaces 24, 25 help when driving through doors or other narrow spaces, since the inclined surfaces, for example, facilitate the lateral deflection of the suction cup when it encounters vertical obstacles, such as the door frames.
  • the adjustment of the brake part 13 in the braking / parking position can only be carried out by operating it with the foot. The suction cup itself does not have to be touched.
  • the braking part 13 Since the suction connection 12 is on the same side of the suction cup as the actuating part 13, the braking part 13, when it assumes its parking position, cannot move into the rest position according to FIG Fig. 4 be folded up when the user pulls the suction cup on the suction hose.
  • the brake part 13 ensures that the vacuum cleaner cannot accidentally roll away when the brake part 13 is in the parking position according to Fig. 2 has been adjusted.
