connection profile strip 1 designed as a window connection profile strip has abase profile strip 2, in which asealing strip 9 made of expandable material is arranged. The sealingtape 9 is held by asheath 15 in its compressed state. The film-like material of theenvelope 15 is connected via atab 16 with aprotective leg 12 which is connected via apredetermined breaking line 13 with thebase profile strip 2 of theconnection profile strip 1. When separating theprotective leg 12 of theconnection profile strip 1, theenvelope 15 of the sealingstrip 9 is opened, so that the sealingstrip 9 expands and seals theconnection profile strip 1 against anadjacent component 24, such as a door or window stock.
