Description

The invention relates to a frame part, in particular for insulating and/or sealing at least one peripheral side of a window frame or the like attached to an opening in an outer wall of a building.

Window and door frames of curtain window or door elements are usually sealed on the inside and/or outside of their circumference with film tape that is self-adhesive on one or two sides. This type of seal is problematic when there are significant gaps between the frame and the outer wall of a building into which frame fasteners must be placed to connect the frame to the brickwork. It is tedious and often not possible to produce an airtight and moisture-tight seal between such frame fastening parts on the one hand and the window or door frame and the masonry on the other hand.

The document DE 3623416 A1 refers to a closing and insulating element for door sills with an insulating body and a foil attached to it, which protrudes in different widths on both long sides of the insulating body. The foil is fastened to the insulating body via tabs formed from the foil and fastened in longitudinal slots made in the insulating body.

The object of the invention is to further develop the prior art, in particular to further improve the insulation properties.

The object is achieved on the basis of a frame part of the type mentioned at the outset, the frame part being a profile part made from a membrane material and having at least one cover film bonded to the profile part, the cover film comprising at least one outer film of such dimensions and on at least a first longitudinal side of the profile part is mounted in such a way that it protrudes at least beyond longitudinal sides of the profile part which are arranged adjacent to the first longitudinal side.

The frame part, which has a profile part with a protruding cover film, can be easily mounted on a window or door frame by attaching it to the door or window frame. The profile part and the covering film have previously been selected in a size suitable for the window or door frame or have been cut accordingly in order to adapt them to the size of the respective window or door frame. After starting of the profile part on the window or door frame, the covering film bonded to the profile part is firmly bonded to the outside of the frame adjacent to the profile part. In addition, this cover film or another cover film is bonded to the outside of an outer wall of a building on the opposite side. The same procedure is carried out for the three remaining sides of the window or door frame, creating a complete sealing system around the window or door frame. Overlapping parts of the covering foil, which protrudes beyond the profile part at the ends of each profile part, are also glued to each other and to the outside of the outer wall of the building. Prefabricated corners could also be used at the ends of the profile parts in order to connect adjacent profile parts to one another. The prefabricated corners would also be glued to the profile parts. The frame part fulfills the task of a placeholder. In addition, the frame part fulfills the task of thermal insulation and/or soundproofing.

In the corresponding configuration of the frame part, the profile part consists of a membrane material that can be adapted to the contour of a frame fastening part, or is cut out accordingly. This ensures that the desired seal is also achieved in the area of frame attachment parts.

Furthermore, the frame part covers the frame fastening part, closely adapted to its contour, or accommodates it in a cutout and terminates with a connection level for connection to the outer wall of a wall and/or an outer insulation. As a result, the protruding part of the covering film extends from an outside of the window or door frame over the profile part to an outside of an outside wall of a building and can be glued there in each case. The cutout is preferably filled with filler after the frame fastening part has been picked up. This has the additional advantage that the desired seal can also be easily achieved in the area of frame attachment parts. The outer film is appropriately selected so that it is resistant to driving rain and wind, as well as soundproofing and ensures the desired seal.

According to the invention, a filler and/or an inner film are attached to a frame part mounted on a window or door frame. With this configuration, the desired seal is also achieved on the inside of the window or door frame.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, the membrane material consists of foam or another sealing and/or insulating material. Such materials provide the membrane material with the conformability desired for a perfect seal.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, the cover film is attached to the profile part with an adhesive, which facilitates alignment of the cover film in relation to the profile part when being attached to the profile part.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, attachment is simplified in that the cover film for attachment to the profile part is an at least one-sided adhesive film.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, the cover film can be dimensioned and attached to at least the first longitudinal side of the profile part in such a way that it protrudes at least over two ends of the profile part opposite the first longitudinal side in the longitudinal direction. With a cover film designed in this way, the desired seal can be achieved at the ends of adjacent frame parts.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, the frame part is wind, water and/or soundproof. This configuration not only ensures a perfect sealing system, but also that this system acts as a barrier to wind, water and/or sound.

In this embodiment, in connection with the further embodiment mentioned above, that the profile part consists of a membrane material adaptable to the contour of a frame fastening part or is cut out accordingly, the desired sealing is also achieved in the area of a frame fastening part.

In a further embodiment of the frame part according to the invention, the frame part is impervious to driving rain on the outside and more diffusion-tight on the inside than on the outside. Moisture must not get over the window or door frame connection joints. If moisture-laden air penetrates into the joints, condensation water damages the connection area and reduces the thermal insulation. Therefore, when sealing window or door frame connection joints, the principle "tighter on the inside than on the outside" is used.

Finally, the invention creates a membrane frame to solve the stated problem, which is either made in one piece from a frame part according to the invention or from several profile parts of frame parts arranged with their ends directly on one another according to the invention.

FIG. 1 shows a view of a window frame 1 from the outside, with the window frame 1 usually enclosing external insulation or insulation of a building not being shown. Such external insulation 14 is in FIG. 3 shown. The window frame 1, which has a window pane 8, is surrounded by a rectangular, frame-shaped frame part 4', which is shown as a detail in FIG FIG. 8th is shown and with reference to FIG. 8th is described in more detail. Instead of one frame part 4', the window frame 1 can be made of several individual frame parts 4 or 4" as shown in FIG. 7 or 9 be surrounded. In FIG. 8th the frame part 4' forms a membrane frame 10`. In FIG. 9 the frame parts 4" form a membrane frame 10".

The frame part 4 after FIG. 7 comprises a rod-shaped profile part 9 made of a membrane material, for example foam, and has a cover film 3 glued to the profile part 9, which can be designed as a cover strip. The cover film 3 is dimensioned and according to the illustration in FIG. 2 mounted on a first longitudinal side 17 of the profile part 9 in such a way that it protrudes at least over longitudinal sides 18, 19 of the profile part 9 which are arranged adjacent to the first longitudinal side 17. The cover film 3 expediently also protrudes over the ends 22, 23 of the profile part 9, as is shown in FIG. 7 is shown. The window frame 1 is attached to an opening in an outer wall 12 of a building. The term “window frame or the like” used above and in the claims means that instead of the window frame, it could also be a door frame (not shown), for example.

FIG. 2 shows a section along line AA in FIG. 1 . Out of FIG. 2 It can be clearly seen how the frame part 4' insulates and/or seals an outer peripheral side 15 of the window frame 1 attached to an opening in an outer wall 12 of a building. the inside FIG. 2 The part of the covering film 3 that protrudes upwards is bonded to an outside 20 of the window frame 1 . The part of the covering film 3 which protrudes downward beyond the adjacent longitudinal side 18 is glued to an outside 13 of a masonry 5 of the outer wall 12 . In addition, in FIG. 2 the covering film 3 is glued to the first longitudinal side 17 and to the adjacent longitudinal side 18 . A frame attachment part 2 is attached to an inner side 16 of the masonry 5 or a reveal. At its end adjacent to the window frame 1 , the frame attachment part 2 has a threaded pin, via which the window frame is supported on the frame attachment part 2 , which in turn is supported on the inside 16 . The frame part 4` has in the illustration in FIG. 2 above in its profile part 9 a cutout for receiving the frame attachment part 2. The space within the cutout, which is not of the Frame attachment part 2 is occupied is provided with an insulating and sealing filler 6a. If the profile part 9 consists of a membrane material that adapts to the contour of the frame fastening part 2, the aforementioned cutout is simply a depression that is created by pressing down the membrane material during assembly through the receptacle of the frame fastening part 2 and then filled with the filler 6a. FIG. 2 shows that the frame part 4 'covers the frame attachment part 2 and is provided with a connection plane 11 for connection to the outer wall 12 or an in FIG. 2 external insulation not shown completes. The membrane material itself preferably consists of foam or another sealing and/or insulating material.

The cover film 3 could be divided in the area of the longitudinal side 17 or 18 in the longitudinal direction of the profile part 9, ie it could comprise two outer films (not shown).

The cover film 3 is preferably attached to the profile part 9 with an adhesive. For this purpose, the cover film 3 can be designed as a one-sided adhesive film. However, a cover film 3 not provided with an adhesive layer can also be used. In this case, in order to attach the cover film 3 to the profile part 9, the surfaces which come into contact with one another must first be coated with adhesive. This work can be simplified with single-sided adhesive film. However, this entails the difficulty that the cover film 3 can no longer be aligned after it has been attached to the profile part 9 . An adhesive insert is also required between the cover sheet 3 and the outside 13 of the masonry 5 and between the cover sheet 3 and the outside 20 of the window frame 1.

On the above in particular with reference to FIG. 2 described manner of attachment of the profile part 9 and the cover film 3 is sealed between the window frame 1 and the longitudinal side 19 of the profile part 9 existing joint. When using frame attachment parts such as the frame attachment part 2, the filler material 6a used in their area contributes to the desired sealing.

FIG. 3 shows a section along line AA in FIG. 1 , but together with another way of attaching the window frame 1 to the masonry 5. The frame attachment part 2 is in the in FIG. 3 shown embodiment of the frame part 4` according to the invention, an angle or an angle rail, which is attached to the outside 13 of the masonry 5 in the usual way, for example by means of dowels and fasteners, which are not shown. If it is the membrane material from which the profile part 9 consists of a membrane material that can be adapted to the contour of the frame attachment part 2, for example foam or another sealing and/or insulating material, as in the exemplary embodiment FIG. 2 the membrane material of the profile part 9 simply yield when it is attached to the masonry 5 and record the frame fastening part 2 in a depression, in order then to come into tight contact with the masonry 5. However, it could also be like with reference to FIG. 2 already described, a cutout in the membrane material accommodate the frame attachment part. Thereafter, the cutout is filled with the filler 6a insofar as it is not occupied by the frame attachment part 2. An inner film 6b is glued to the inside of the window frame 1, which covers the frame a little and then extends over the frame fastening part 2 and finally rests on the inside 16 of the masonry 5. A single-sided adhesive tape can be used as the inner film 6b. Instead, however, a simple cover film can also be used, which is attached to the inside 21 of the window frame 1, the frame attachment part 2 and the inside 16 of the masonry 5 with an adhesive. The same applies to the cover film 3 for its attachment to the outside 20 of the window frame 1 and to the long sides 17 and 18 of the profile part 9 and on the outside 13 of the masonry 5.

After the frame part 4' has been attached to the window frame 1, it is additionally covered with an external insulation 14, which is a conventional thermal insulation for the building in question. Such external insulation 14 is also in the embodiments according to FIG. 2 and 4 to 7 available, but not shown there for reasons of simplification.

FIG. 4 shows a section along line BB in FIG. 1 . In addition, however, an additional profile part 7 is arranged between the window frame 1 and the frame part 4 . The window frame 1 is thus supported here via the additional profile part 7 on the frame attachment part 2 . Otherwise, the embodiment corresponds to FIG. 4 essentially according to the exemplary embodiment FIG. 3 . The only difference here is that the covering film 3 extends to the additional profile part 7 instead of to the outside 20 of the window frame 1 . A joint between the additional profile part 7 and the frame attachment part 2 is also sealed here, although not shown, by an inner film 6b, which extends from the window frame 1 over the additional profile part 7 or directly from the additional profile part 7 over the frame attachment part 2 to the top 16 of the masonry 5 extends.

FIG. 5 shows a section along line BB in FIG. 1 , but with an opposite FIG. 4 other type of attachment of the window frame 1 to the masonry 5. In this type of attachment, a frame attachment part 2 is used, as shown in FIG. 2 is shown, on which here an additional profile part 7 is supported as in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 . Otherwise, this type of attachment corresponds to FIG. 2 and with regard to the additional profile part 7 also used here according to the exemplary embodiment FIG. 4 . The above statements on the embodiments according to the FIG. 2 and 4 thus essentially also apply to the exemplary embodiment FIG. 5 .

FIG. 6 shows a section along line CC in FIG. 1 . A frame attachment part is shown in the embodiment FIG. 6 also available, but not shown there. The inner foil 6b can be as in FIG. 6 over the inside 21 of the window frame 1 and over the inside of the profile part 9 extend. Additionally, it could also look like in FIG. 3 extend to the inside 16 of the masonry 5.

In its simplest embodiment, the frame part 4 is FIG. 7 a component that is prefabricated from the profile part 9 and the covering film 3 glued to it. The profile part 9 consists of foam or another sealing and/or insulating material. The cover film 3 consists of a film that is resistant to driving rain, wind and noise. This foil can be made of the same material as a tape made of modified polyamide with a reinforced combination of fleece and foil, which is manufactured by Hanno-Werk GmbH & Co. KG, D-30880 Laatzen and, according to a technical data sheet from this company, is called Hanno ® Foil Tape DUO Easy & DUO Easy+ is sold. It is self-adhesive on its underside and enables easy and completely concealed installation of the foil tape, which can be plastered and painted over, without additional bonding to the masonry. This tape also develops high adhesive strength on all types of window frames. This known film strip can be used as a cover film in the frame part according to the invention, provided it is produced in the width required for the purposes of the present invention. The latter is important for embodiments such as those in FIG FIG. 8th and 9 are shown, which will now be considered in more detail.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 8th is the membrane frame 10 ', so a frame part 4', which has a profile part which is not rod-shaped like the profile part 9 after FIG. 7 , but frame-shaped. In the embodiment according to FIG. 8th the frame part 4' is punched out or cut to size from a sheet of membrane material and then glued to a cover film 3 of the appropriate size. Instead of being stamped or cut to size, the membrane frame 10' can also be produced as a molded part.

Instead of the one-piece frame 10` after FIG. 8th the membrane frame can also be adjusted 10". FIG. 9 use, which is composed of a plurality of profile parts 9 in the manner shown, which are each provided with their cover sheet 3. The profile parts 9 are as shown with their ends 22, 23 ( FIG. 7 ) arranged directly next to each other to form the membrane frame 10". The cover films 3 of the profile parts 9 are glued together in such a way that the frame part 4" results, which in FIG. 9 is shown. Another production possibility would be that several profile parts 9 according to the training FIG. 9 cut to a suitable length and arranged with their ends against each other and additionally glued together at their ends to form the membrane frame 10", which is then glued to the cover film 3, resulting in the prefabricated frame part 4", which in FIG. 9 is shown. Like the other frame parts 4 and 4` described here, the frame part 4" is wind, water and noise-resistant and also impermeable to driving rain and diffusion-tight on the inside than on the outside. Prefabricated corner pieces could also be used at the corners of the membrane frame 10" and connected to the adjacent profile parts 9 and the cover film 3 are bonded.
