Definitions

  • the invention relates to the attachment of cabins intended to be towed by a cable, and more particularly cabins intended for the transport of passengers.
  • Disengageable ropeways include vehicles which are detachably mounted on the towing cable, and fixed-clamp ropeways have vehicles that are fixedly mounted on the towing cable. In both cases, the order of the vehicles in line, as they travel along the towing cable, is imposed throughout the route.
  • the term “in-line vehicle” is understood to mean a vehicle coupled to the traction cable of the installation.
  • Japanese patent application JP2005029081 describes a transport equipment towed by a cable, comprising a support for a cabin rotating about a vertical axis, the cabin being mounted on the support so as to rotate about a horizontal axis.
  • the French patent application FR2754229 discloses a section of cable car type line, comprising a cab suspended in a pendulum manner by a mast of variable length to a running gear running on a carrying cable, and a towing cable for advancing the cabin along said section of cable car-type line.
  • the mast has a frame provided with four wheels driven by a motor
  • the cabin has two longitudinal rails resting on the wheels in order to move the cabin longitudinally relative to the frame to refocus the center of gravity of the cabin to the plumb of the mast, in order to improve user comfort.

Description
