Das erfindungsgemäße Schienenfahrzeug ist mit einer Trageeinheit ausgerüstet, die Teil der Fahrzeugstruktur und äußerst robust ausgeführt ist. Sie ist an der Stirnseite des Schienenfahrzeugs angeordnet und weist somit in Fahrtrichtung nach vorn. Die Fahrtrichtung des Schienenfahrzeugs wird hier als Längsrichtung bezeichnet. Die Querrichtung verläuft in einer Horizontalen zu der Ebene rechtwinklig zur Längsrichtung. Die horizontale Ebene verläuft in einem ebenen Gelände parallel zur Fahrbahn. Durch seine in Querrichtung mittige Anordnung kann die Trageeinheit bei verhältnismäßig niedrigem Eigengewicht ein hohes Biegemoment aufnehmen, so dass die jeweils herrschenden Stabilitätsanforderungen erfüllt werden. Dabei ist die Trageeinheit als einstückiges Bauteil auf einfache Weise in die Fahrzeugstruktur integriert. Die Montage ist daher im Rahmen der Erfindung vereinfacht und somit kostengünstig. Darüber hinaus ist die Trageeinheit nicht nur wie im Stand der Technik allein zum Halten eines Fahrzeugräumers vorgesehen. Im Rahmen der Erfindung ist durch die Trageeinheit darüber hinaus auch ein Aufkletterschutz bereitgestellt. Hierzu ist die Trageeinheit mit Aufkletterschutzmitteln ausgerüstet, die an einer stirnseitigen Oberfläche des Plateauabschnitts der Trageeinheit angeordnet sind. Die stirnseitige Oberfläche ist in Fahrtrichtung nach vorn gewandt. Der Plateauabschnitt erstreckt sich in Querrichtung vorteilhafterweise über die gesamte Breite des Schienenfahrzeugs und kann somit als Querträger fest in die Fahrzeugstruktur integriert werden. Darüber hinaus erstreckt sich der Plateauabschnitt auch in Längsrichtung, wobei die Haltemittel sich ebenfalls in Längsrichtung erstrecken, wobei eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung in Längsrichtung zwischen Plateauabschnitt und Haltemittel bereitgestellt ist. Die Figur zeigt in einer perspektivischen Darstellung eine Lokomotive 1 als Schienenfahrzeug. Die Lokomotive 1 weist eine Fahrzeugstruktur 2 auf, die auf einem nicht gezeigten Fahrwerk abgestützt ist, das Radsätze mit Rädern aufweist, die auf den Gleisen eines figürlich ebenfalls nicht dargestellten Fahrwegs abrollen. Die Fahrzeugstruktur 2 umfasst einen Wagenkasten 3, der auf einem Untergestell abgestützt ist. Das Untergestell weist sich in Fahrtrichtung erstreckende Längsträger 4 sowie rechtwinklig dazu verlaufende Querträger auf. An der in der Figur dargestellten Stirnseite der Lokomotive 1 ist eine Trageeinheit 5 erkennbar, die einen Plateauabschnitt 6 ausbildet, der sich flächig in Querrichtung und in Längsrichtung erstreckt, wobei der Plateauabschnitt 6 fest in das Untergestell und somit in die Fahrzeugstruktur 2 der Lokomotive 1 integriert ist. Mit anderen Worten ist der Plateauabschnitt 6 fest mit Längs- und Querträgern des Untergestells verbunden. So ist die Trageeinheit 5 und insbesondere der Plateauabschnitt 6 beispielsweise mit dem Längsträger 4 und dem sich oberhalb des Plateauabschnitts 6 erstreckenden Führerstand 7 verschweißt oder auf sonstige Art und Weise fest verbunden. An einer nach vorn gewandten stirnseitigen Oberfläche 8 des Plateauabschnitts 6 sind Rippen 9 angeordnet, die einen Aufkletterschutz bereitstellen. Dieser Profilträger 15 ist fest mit den Seitenwandungsabschnitten 13 verschweißt und besonders stabil ausgebildet, so dass in seiner Mitte eine Anhebestelle 16 ausgebildet ist, an der beispielsweise mit Hilfe eines Kranwagens die Lokomotive 1 angehoben und somit aufgegleist werden kann.
