Definitions
- the present invention relates to a rocker switch, in particular for an interior light of a vehicle, comprising a housing, a printed circuit board mounted in the housing with a first contact point and a tiltably mounted in the housing rocker, wherein the rocker has a first contact arm, wherein the rocker by pressing from a center position, in which there is no contact between the first contact arm and the first contact point, can be brought into a first actuating position, in which the first contact arm contacts the first contact point of the printed circuit board, and wherein a first return spring is provided, which the switching rocker from the first operating position returns to the center position.
- Such a rocker switch is for example off DE 1 880 359 known.
- Rocker switches are used, for example, for interior lighting in motor vehicles to set different switching states of one or more lamps.
- DE 1 880 359 U discloses a toggle switch in which the rocker switch is designed as a fork. By actuating the rocker switch a contact roller is moved to a contact point. Two springs are supported on both sides of the housing and the rocker switch and cause a reset of the rocker switch after completion of the operation. The position of the rocker switch relative to the housing is adjusted via a deflection arm. Since there are many components in the tolerance chain, the coordination between switch and housing is very difficult.
- the housing has at least one inwardly directed first housing projection on which the return spring is supported in the center position.
- the housing projection forms a stop for the return spring, so that the positioning of the rocker switch relative to the housing in the transition from the actuation position to the center position can be done with high accuracy.
- the rocker For the transfer of the rocker switch from the center position to the actuation position, the rocker must be biased unilaterally with force in an operating direction (on the circuit board) against the spring force of the return spring. As soon as no force is applied, the return spring causes a provision the rocker switch in the center position.
- the center position is thus defined according to the invention on the housing projection by the provision of the switching rocker is limited by the support of the return spring on the housing projection.
- the housing projection is formed as a rib (elongated projection) on the housing inner wall.
- a rib-shaped configuration has a particularly high stability.
- the housing projection preferably extends from the side of the housing opposite the printed circuit board in the direction of the printed circuit board.
- the application of force to the return spring then acts in the direction of projection (that is to say in the direction in which the projection extends away from the housing wall), into which the projection is particularly resilient.
- the projection may extend from a side wall of the housing oriented perpendicular or obliquely to the printed circuit board, parallel or obliquely to the printed circuit board.
- the return spring is designed as a leaf spring, which is bent in a U-shape and is supported with one end against the rocker switch and with the other end against the circuit board or against a rigidly connected to the circuit board element.
- the return spring is thus stretched between the rocker switch and the circuit board or a mechanically rigidly connected to the circuit board element.
- leg spring can be used, one leg of which is supported against the switching rocker and the other leg against the circuit board or against a mechanically rigidly connected to the circuit board element.
- the rocker switch preferably has a rocker projection on which the return spring is supported in the center position and in the first operating position.
- the rocker projection preferably extends from the contact arm of the rocker switch in the direction parallel to the printed circuit board and may, for example, be designed as a cam.
- the rocker switch on a second contact arm and the circuit board on a second contact point, which can be brought from the center position to a second actuation position by pressing the rocker switch, in which the second contact arm contacts the second contact point of the circuit board.
- a second return spring is provided in this embodiment, which holds the rocker switch in the center position.
- the housing has at least one inwardly directed second housing projection on which the return spring is supported in the center position.
- the contact arms of the rocker switch are preferably located on opposite sides of the rocker switch. The second return spring causes the return of the switching rocker from the second operating position. In this way, three switch positions can be realized.
- the rocker switch comprises a translucent lens.
- the rocker can then serve as a control for the rocker switch as well as a light exit surface of a luminaire.
- the invention also relates to a light, in particular an interior light for a motor vehicle, with the rocker switch described above, wherein between the circuit board and the rocker switch, a reflector and at least one light source are arranged.
- the reflector is attached to the circuit board and the return spring is supported on the reflector.
- FIGS. 1 to 4 representations of a lamp according to the invention are shown with a rocker switch according to the invention.
- the lamp can be used in particular as an interior light for a motor vehicle, for example, it can be mounted in the headliner of the vehicle as a reading light.
- the lamp comprises a rocker switch with a housing 1 , in which a rocker switch 2 is mounted, such that the rocker switch 2 can be operated from outside the housing 1. Since the rocker switch is part of a lamp in the present example, the rocker switch 2 is designed to be transparent and comprises a lens 3 , through which the light from bulbs 12a, 12b can penetrate to the outside.
- the rocker switch 2 has two contact arms 4a, 4b , which extend substantially perpendicular to the lens 3.
- the lamp according to the invention further comprises a reflector 5 , a printed circuit board 6 and return springs 7a, 7b.
- Fig. 2 a Schittdarwolf the assembled lamp.
- the circuit board 6 is equipped with two lamps 12a, 12b, which can be turned on by contacting pads 8a, 8b of the circuit board 6.
- the light of the bulbs 12 a, 12 b is reflected in the direction of the lens 3.
- the contact arms 4a, 4b of the rocker switch 2 extending in the direction of the printed circuit board 6 are used.
- the rocker switch 2 also has cam-like projections 9a, 9b , which extend substantially perpendicularly away from the associated contact arm 4a, 4b.
- return springs 7a, 7b serve in the present example leaf springs, which are each fixed with its one end to the reflector 5 and the other end comes to rest on each one of the cam-like rocker projections 9a, 9b.
- the return springs 7a, 7b are stretched between their attachment to the reflector 5 and the rocker projections 9a, 9b by a U-shaped bend.
- On the rocker switch 2 therefore acting away from the circuit board 6 force acts.
- the rocker switch 2 is held in its center position.
- the center position is defined according to the invention by housing projections 10a, 10b , which extend from the housing inner wall in the direction of the printed circuit board 6.
- the housing projections 10a, 10b form stops for the return springs 7a, 7b.
- Fig. 3 shows the lamp according to the invention, wherein the rocker switch 2 is in a first operating position.
- the rocker switch 2 is pivoted about a pivot point 11 .
- This has the effect that the first contact arm 4a makes contact with the first contact point 8a of the printed circuit board 6 and thus a specific circuit state of the lighting means 12a, 12b is effected.
- the rocker switch 2 is no longer actuated, the rocker switch 2 is reset by the return spring 7a tensioned between the reflector 5 and the rocker projection 9a.
- the provision of the rocker switch 2 takes place only up to the point at which the return spring 7a comes to rest on the housing projection 9a.
- the switching rocker can be brought by pressurization on the right side of the lens 3 in a second operating position, as in Fig. 4 shown.
- a contacting of the second contact arm 4b with the second contact point 8b of the printed circuit board 6 and thus the activation of a second switching state of the lighting means 12a, 12b is effected.
- the provision is made analogously to the above description by means of a second return spring 7b.
- the second return spring 7b also serves to limit the pivoting back of the rocker switch 2 from the first operating position to the center position.
- the operating force can be adjusted uniformly via the spring constant.
