Description

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Koffer. The invention relates to a suitcase.

There are numerous cases 10, which are equipped with rollers 13 and a handle bar 11 (see US2006 / 0213735 ), so you can pull the case 10 behind you. In Fig. 1A is such a case 10 (which is referred to here as a rolling suitcase 10) shown in a schematic side view. If one wishes to move such a trolley 10 up or down stairs 1, a fundamental weakness of such trolley 10 is shown Fig. 1B shown. Especially with heavy suitcases, many people limit their physical limits. On the one hand, the rollers 13 of a trolley 10 often do not run well enough on the floor covering of the staircase 1 and on the other hand, the trolley 10 grinds with its tailgate facing the staircase 1 along the edges of the individual steps.

There are rolling suitcases 10, which have sliding profiles in the area of the rear wall of the suitcase, so that it is necessary to expend less force for the up or down grinding of the rolling suitcase 10 along the edges of steps. But even this solution creates no real relief.

It is therefore the task of providing a rolling suitcase that can be relatively easily moved up or down a step or stairs. On the one hand, the required effort should be reduced as much as possible. On the other hand, a safe handling and slipping of the trolley should be prevented as possible.

According to the invention, a suitcase according to claim 1 is provided, which has special features that allow better staircase mobility.

A suitcase of the invention has a trunk area for receiving and transporting objects. In addition, the case has transport means which are arranged in the region of a lower side and / or rear side of the case. Further, attached to the case is a handle assembly which, in a home position, enables maneuvering of the case along a substantially horizontal surface and which in a unique position allows maneuvering the case (e.g., sliding or rolling with the means of transport) along a staircase. This handle assembly is designed so that it can be transferred by a pivoting movement from the basic position at least in a special position.

Vorzugsweise kommen bei Koffern der Erfindung Transportmittel wie Rollen, Walzen, Kufen, Gleitschienen, Laufbänder oder Kombinationen der genannten Mittel zum Einsatz.Preferably in suitcases of the invention transport means such as rollers, rollers, skids, slide rails, treadmills or combinations of said means are used.

Preferred embodiments can be found in the dependent claims.

In the following location and direction are used to describe the invention better. This information should not be construed as a limitation.

Based on FIGS. 2A and 2 B A first case 100 of the invention will be described. The case 100 has a trunk portion 14 adapted to receive and transport objects (eg, garments). The case 100 may in all embodiments be provided in the usual manner with rollers 13.1 (generally referred to herein as transport means 13) which allow the case 100 to be pulled or pushed. The rollers 13.1 can be attached to the case 100 by means of a roller bearing 13.3, for example. The rollers 13.1, if present, are preferably located in all embodiments in the region of a lower side U of the trunk area 14.

According to the invention, instead of the mentioned rollers 13.1, other transport means 13 may also be arranged on the case 100, which seats in the area of the underside U and / or rear side 101 of the trunk area 14. Rollers 13.1, rollers, skids, slide rails 13.2, conveyor belts 20 or combinations of said means can serve as transport means 13. In the case of the stable and almost indestructible plastic materials (for example resin-reinforced carbon-kevlar or glass fibers), which have also found their way into box construction today, it is also possible to use the case surface as sliding or sliding body. To prevent scratching of the actual case 100, optionally, e.g. the back 101 and / or the bottom U may be provided with a protective foil, e.g. removable and can be replaced by a new film.

If no rollers 13.1 serve as a means of transport 13, for example runners or slide rails 13.2 (see eg Fig. 2A and 2 B ), as known, or it may be a treadmill 20 are arranged on the case 100, such as in Fig. 3 shown. The treadmill 20 may include, for example, an endless belt and a rolling bearing with rollers 21, wherein the endless belt by means of the rolling bearing is mounted rollable on the case 100 (preferably on a frame member of the case 100).

In the in the FIGS. 2A and 2 B In the embodiment shown, the case 100 comprises a handle assembly 200 which is in a basic position (FIG. Fig. 2A ) enables maneuvering of the case 100 along a surface (eg, a substantially horizontal bottom 2). In a (first) special position ( Fig. 2B ), the handle assembly 200 allows maneuvering of the case 100 along a staircase 1 (or even an inclined surface, eg a ramp). In the special position of the case 100 example meadow can be moved with the transport means 13 sliding or rolling along the edges K1 of the staircase 1. In the special position but other means of transport 13 can be used, which are not used in the normal position during maneuvering of the case 100 along a horizontal bottom 2.

Since the case 100 of the invention should be manoeuvrable both along a surface 2 and along eg a staircase 1, the handle assembly is 200 designed so that it can be transferred by a pivoting movement from the basic position at least in a special position.

In order to enable the transfer of the handle assembly 200 from the basic position into the at least one special position and to pull the case 100 in both positions, the handle assembly 200 must be connected to the case 100 so that on the one hand it is capable of tensile forces ZK1 to transfer the case 100 while the handle assembly 200 is in the home position. On the other hand, tensile forces ZK2 must be transferred to the case 100, if the handle assembly 200 is in the special position.

As per the schematic FIGS. 2A and 2 B can be seen, between the main axis of the case 100 (this main axis T runs, for example parallel to the back 101 of the case 100) and the bottom 2, an angle WG can be defined. This angle WG is typically between 30 and 70 degrees (depending on the size of the person pulling the suitcase 100, the size of the suitcase 100, the position and size of the transport means 13, and the length of the handle assembly 200).

When maneuvering the case 100 along a staircase 1 (see Fig. 2B ), the main axis T of the suitcase 100 must be substantially tangential to the horizontal edges of the steps, as in FIG Fig. 2B indicated. Thus, the case 100 can be pulled with its optional skid (s) or slide (s) 13.2 along the stairs 1 upwards. In order to enable the maneuvering of the case 100 in this flat position, the handle assembly 200 is transferred to the special position. In this special position, the person who pulls the case 100, continue to go upright and pull in the usual manner, for example, on an upper handle rail of the handle assembly 200. The corresponding tensile force ZK2 is in Fig. 2B indicated by a block arrow. The angle WS in the special position shown is typically between 20 and 35 degrees (depending on the size of the person pulling the suitcase 100, the stair slope, the size of the suitcase 100, the position and size of the transport 13 and the length of the handle assembly 200). ,

Most embodiments are characterized in that the angle WS in the special position is smaller than the angle WG in the basic position.

In Fig. 3 transport means 13 are shown in a purely schematic form, on the one hand conventional rollers 13.1 and on the other hand, a treadmill 20 includes, for example, is guided around two rollers 21. For example, the treadmill 20 may be attached to the case 100 (preferably, to a frame member of the case 100), with the case 100 not in place Fig. 3 is shown.

Based on FIGS. 4A, 4B and 4C another suitcase 100 of the invention will be explained. The transport means 13 are deliberately not shown here. In Fig. 4A the side view of an embodiment is shown, the handle assembly 200 has been telescoped together. The handle assembly 200 is connected via a hinge member 201 rotatably and latchably connected to the trunk area 14.

By actuating a trigger, the handle assembly 200 can be pulled out, as in FIG Fig. 4B shown. For this purpose, the handle assembly 200 may include, for example, on each longitudinal side of the case a first lower beam 202.1, a second middle beam 202.2 and an upper beam 202.3. These spars 202.1, 202.2, 202.3 can be pushed into one another in a telescope arrangement, the middle spar 202.2 receiving the upper spar 202.3 and the lower spar 202.1 receiving the middle spar 202.2 together with the upper spar 202.3.

All embodiments of the invention may include such a telescopic assembly as the handle assembly 200.

All embodiments of the invention may include a telescope assembly having more than three spars per side. This is important to provide a sufficient safety margin between the drawn suitcase 100 and the feet of a person.

All embodiments of the invention may include a handle assembly 200 having an upper cross member / handle spar 203.

Fig. 4C zeigt den Koffer 100 in einer Vorderansicht. Fig. 4C shows the case 100 in a front view. In the state shown, the handle assembly 200 is only partially pulled out (the spars 202.2 still sit inside the spars 202.1). In Fig. 4C the cross member / handle bar 203 is clearly visible. In addition, the course of the pivot axis R is shown.

Fig. 5A zeigt eine perspektivische Ansicht des Koffers 100. Fig. 5B zeigt eine korrespondierende Seitenansicht des Koffers 100. In the Figures 5A and 5B Another suitcase 100 is shown in a special position. Fig. 5A shows a perspective view of the case 100th Fig. 5B shows a corresponding side view of the case 100. In these figures, it can be seen that the handle assembly 200 occupies a different angular position relative to the trunk area 14 in the special position. The principle was already based on the FIGS. 2A and 2 B described. The two hinge elements 201 are preferably interconnected by a (transverse) axis, which is not shown in the figures, since it lies inside the case 100. The mentioned (transverse) axis would be in Fig. 4C coincide with the axis R.

All embodiments of the invention may include a (transverse) axis which preferably extends inboard (i.e., inside the trunk area 14). If such a (transverse) axis is present, the two hinge elements 201 are arranged coaxially with one another, as shown. The (transverse) axis is preferably designed as a rigid axle. The aforementioned pivot axis R coincides with the optional (transverse) axis. Such a (transverse) axis gives the entire case 100 more stability and prevents jamming of the side rails 202.1, 202.2, 202.3.

However, all embodiments of the invention may also comprise two independent axles or stub axles, each of which may be rotatably mounted on the carafe (e.g., on a hard shell of the case 100).

Overall, embodiments are preferred in which the handle assembly 200 with the side rails 202.1, 202.2, 202.3, the Cross member / handle spar 203 and the optional (transverse) axis together form a closed frame, which has a rectangular basic shape.

The handle assembly 200 may preferably include (inboard) guide shoes that allow for a clean telescoping of the side rails 202.1, 202.2, 202.3.

Fig. 6 shows a schematic exploded view of the elements of a handle assembly 200 according to the invention, in which case only the elements of one side of a suitcase 100 are shown. The handle assembly 200 includes a plate 206 coaxial with the axis R attached to a side wall of the trunk area 14 (eg with screws or rivets). On the plate 206, a small stub shaft 207 is attached. On this stub shaft 207, a bearing sleeve 208 can be placed. Then follows a cover 210 with an axial bore 209 for inserting a shaft or screw. The cover 210 here comprises a receiving opening 211, which is designed to receive a triggering mechanism 212. This release mechanism 212 may, for example, sit inside the lower beam 202.1. Through the interior of the spar 202.1 actuators 213 (eg traction cables or rods) can run, as in Fig. 6 indicated.

The handle assembly 200 may act on the plate 206 by moving the actuator (s) 213 over the trigger mechanism 212 in all embodiments of the invention. For example, can be done by lifting the trigger mechanism 212 unlocking. After unlocking the entire handle assembly 200 together with the release mechanism 212 and the cover 210 can rotate about the axis R until it engages again in a different angular position. In order to enable the locking (locking) in different angular positions (preferably there is a basic position and at least one special position), preferably in all embodiments of the plate 206 and / or the cover 210 corresponding elements are arranged, which engage with each other.

Die Elemente/Teile 212, 213 sind Bestandteil einer Betätigungsmechanik. The elements / parts 212, 213 are part of an actuating mechanism.

Die Kulissenführung, falls vorhanden, umfasst vorzugsweise eine bogenförmige Spur zum Führen der Schwenkbewegung der Griffanordnung 200.Preferably, in all embodiments of the invention, a latching arrangement and / or a sliding guide is provided on the plate 206. The latching arrangement is preferably designed so that it defines at least two latching or angular positions of the handle assembly 200 relative to the luggage area 14. The slotted guide is preferably designed so that it guides the rotational or pivoting movement of the handle assembly 200 relative to the trunk area 14. The slotted guide, if present, preferably includes an arcuate track for guiding the pivotal movement of the handle assembly 200.

Vorzugsweise sitzt der Hebel oder Knopf am Querholm/Griffholm 203.The handle assembly 200 may be provided in all embodiments of the invention with a lever or knob that allows unlocking before pivoting from the basic position to the special position. Preferably, the lever or knob sits on the cross member / handle spar 203.

In another embodiment, the unlocking is carried out by manually, e.g. the cover 210 pulls parallel to the axis R from the case 100 away. This displacement of the cover 210 unlocks the handle assembly 200. Then, the handle assembly 200 can be pivoted relative to the case 100. Upon reaching a desired angular position (called special position), a re-locking can be performed by pressing the cover 210 parallel to the axis R in the direction of the case 100. Preferably, the cover 210 is spring-loaded, so that it automatically engages upon reaching a predetermined angular position.
