Definitions
- the present invention relates to a process for producing a
- a prosthesis base made of plastic for a full or partial dental prosthesis the prosthesis base having prosthetic base receiving recesses for artificial teeth, and based on a digital data set representing a shape of the denture base
- Prosthesis base with the denture base receiving recesses is reflected, is produced.
- Dental full or partial dentures basically consist of at least two different components. On the one hand, this is a prosthesis base which replaces the missing parts of the gum in the patient. On the other hand, these are artificial teeth, which replace the missing natural teeth of the
- the artificial teeth are connected in the full or partial denture with the denture base and have both therapeutic and aesthetic functions.
- a full denture replaces all the teeth of a patient's jaw.
- a partial denture only a part of it.
- Artificial teeth are offered by various manufacturers.
- the prosthetic teeth available on the market are ready-made shapes that vary in their colors. There are pre-fabricated tooth shapes on the market of various sizes, which are selected by the dental technician according to certain individual characteristics of the patient, e.g.
- the denture base made of plastic or to be produced must fit exactly to the particular edentulous or partially edentulous mandibular arch of the patient and, as it were, take into account the individual prescriptions in the patient's mouth. Full or partial dentures are available both for the upper jaw and for the
- EP 1 444 965 B1 provides that, based on the aforementioned digital data set, the prosthesis base is produced directly and then filled with prefabricated teeth.
- An at least similar procedure is also described in DE 40 25 728 AI.
- it is always provided in each case that so-called registratbases are milled out of a plastic block on the basis of the said digital data set, in order then to set up the teeth in further steps.
- a prosthesis base or at least one prosthesis base is thus always provided that, based on the aforementioned data set, a prosthesis base or at least one prosthesis base
- Oral cavity of the patient can be adjusted. It then stays to this
- Adjustment only a machining, in which disturbing areas of the denture base or the Registratbasis removed but never missing parts can be added.
- the object is therefore to propose a new embodiment of the generic method, which improves the possibilities for producing an optimally adapted denture base.
- the invention proposes a method according to
- a basic idea of the invention is thus, based on the data set, which reflects a form of the prosthesis base with the prosthesis base receiving recesses, not directly the prosthesis base itself but as an intermediate step a wax temporary with the corresponding

- This wax temporary offers the possibility that it can be found in the mouth of the patient or even without a patient on a corresponding plaster cast
- Wax temporary e.g. After previous heating so reshaped or edited by milling or by anabolic or generative process so that an optimal fit is present. In this case, then optimized in his fit wax temporary can be used to make the denture base.
- An advantage of the intermediate step according to the invention via the temporary wax is thus essentially that the temporary wax prepared on the basis of the digital data set can be better adapted to the desired optimum shape, as a made according to the prior art from the digital data set prosthetic base made of plastic.
- the temporary wax there are various options for making the temporary wax. For example, it can be provided that the wax provisional with the
- wax provisional recesses for the artificial teeth is milled on the basis of the digital data set with a milling device.
- corresponding wax provisional receiving recesses for the artificial teeth based on the digital data set is produced by a generative method.
- Suitable generative methods are known in the art known. There are methods with which the body to be erstend sirloin, here so the temporary wax, possibly multi-layered, is built. As an example, it should be mentioned that the wax provisional with the
- Wax temporary recesses based on the digital data set with a 3D plotter or 3D printer usually liquid, wax is built up.
- suitable generative methods are also the so-called selective laser melting so selective melting by means of laser or the

- Wax provisional receiving recesses and always has the shape of the entire data set, which has the shape of a prosthesis base with their prosthesis base receiving recesses.
- the wax temporary thus also has at least one surface which serves to rest against the gum in the condition inserted in the mouth of the patient.
- a first consists e.g. in per se known copy milling. It is equally possible to scan the wax temporary and then, based on the data set thus generated, to fix the denture base e.g. to make a computer-controlled milling or the

- Wax temporary receiving recesses arranged artificial teeth is produced in a casting process or in a stuffing process.
- conventional plastic casting or stuffing methods can be used in dental technology.
- the artificial teeth are inserted into the wax temporary accommodation recesses before the preparation of the prosthesis base become.
- preferred variants again provide that the prosthesis base with artificial teeth inserted in the prosthesis base receiving recesses using the temporary wax into the

- the artificial teeth may be prefabricated products that can be purchased on the market and, unless their root is too long, inserted into the wax provisional receiving recess or prosthesis base receiving recess without further processing. Are the artificial ones
- Teeth too long, so provides a preferred variant of the method according to the invention that at least a portion of the artificial teeth before insertion into the
- Prosthesis base receiving recesses are pre-shortened in their, to be arranged in the wax provisional or denture base area.
- artificial tooth is its root or cervical area. This is shortened in this preferred embodiment prior to insertion. This can be done manually. There are already known in the prior art in the form of DE 10 201 1 101 678 A21 possibilities, such as this shortening of the artificial teeth can be done automatically or computer controlled.
- Milling device first the temporary wax with appropriate

Such methods are e.g. in the aforementioned prior art in the form of EP 1 444 965 B 1 described. It can thus be provided that first the shape of the partially or completely edentulous mandibular arches is scanned in the patient's mouth.
