- the demo function is activated it is arranged so as to override other functions when it is activated, so that when the operator actuates various vehicle function units 1 1 1 1 , 1 12, 1 13, 1 14, 1 15, the sections from said electronically stored summary corresponding to those vehicle function units are activated for presentation.
- the sections from the electronic summary corresponding to the vehicle function unit are activated, but not the actual vehicle function unit in the vehicle, or else both the sections from the electronic summary corresponding to the vehicle function unit and the actual vehicle function unit in the vehicle are activated.
- One example in which both the sections from the electronic summary corresponding to the vehicle function unit and the actual vehicle function unit are activated occurs in connection with a switch between low beams and high beams, wherein descriptive information concerning the lights together with, for example, legal requirements/regulations and indication that the lights are turned on, so that the driver/operator himself experiences the effect of the vehicle function, i.e. a switch between high beams and low beams.
- the electronic control unit 100 is consequently arranged so as to process vehicle function data in order to determine vehicle function-presenting data representing information concerning sections that pertain to the vehicle function(s) for which detailed information is desired for instructive purposes.
- the electronic control unit 100 is arranged so as to send these vehicle function-presenting data consequently representing a situation-adapted section in the form of vehicle function unit(s) 1 1 1 , 1 12, 1 13, 1 14, 1 15 that are activated in demo function mode to said vehicle function- presenting means 170 for instructive purposes.
- a system with an electronic control unit 100 has been described above with reference to Fig. 2.
- the system can comprise any number of electronic control units whereupon, according to one variant, each respective vehicle function unit contains a control unit.
- the system can further be connected by any suitable means in order to achieve the function according to the present invention, i.e. to store said summary 210 in electronic form and in connection with at least one control unit 100 for said functionality of the vehicle for said accessibilization, and to present situation-adapted sections from said summary representing relevant vehicle functions automatically and/or at the request of an operator.

In this step, said summary is stored in electronic form and in connection with at least one control unit for said functionality of the vehicle for said accessibilization.

- a computer program P that contains routines for providing information concerning the functionality of a vehicle according to the innovative method is provided.
- the program P contains routines for accessibilizing a summary of said functionality.
- the program P contains routines for storing said summary in electronic form and in connection with at least one control unit for said functionality of the vehicle for said accessibilization.
- the program P contains routines for presenting situation- adapted sections from said summary representing relevant vehicle functions automatically and/or at the request of an operator.
- the program P can be stored in an executable manner or in compressed form in a memory 560 and/or in a read/write memory 550.
- the data-processing unit 510 executes a certain part of the program that is stored in the memory 560, or a certain part of the program that is stored in the read/write memory 550.
- the data-processing device 510 can communicate with a data port 599 via a data bus 515.
- the non-volatile memory 520 is intended for communication with the data-processing unit 510 via a data bus 512.
- the separate memory 560 is intended to communicate with the data-processing unit 510 via a data bus 51 1 .

- Parts of the methods described herein can be performed by the device 500 with the help of the data-processing unit 510, which runs the program stored in the memory 560 or the read/write memory 550.
- the methods described herein are executed when the device 500 runs the program.
