Description

The invention relates to an apparatus for producing a security paper, wherein a first wet end of a paper machine forms a first paper web and possibly with customization features, such as an opening, an endless security element or a watermark, and a second wet end of a paper machine forms a second paper web. A suction device removes paper fibers from the first and / or second paper web in the still wet state at at least one point, preferably in register with the optional individualization features of the first paper web. Subsequently, the second paper web is combined with the first paper web via a removal belt and firmly connected.

Such a device is for example from the WO 2006/099971 A2 known. WO 2006/099971 A2 relates to a paper machine in which a first paper layer with a countercurrent circular screen and a second paper layer with a short former are produced. The two paper layers are merged in the area of a take-off roll and gassed together. Between the paper layers, a security thread supplied on the countercurrent round screen or a security tape is inserted. By means of a first suction device arranged between the short former and the countercurrent circular screen, openings can be introduced into the second paper layer (short-former layer). If desired, by means of an optional second suction device, which is arranged after the merger point of the two paper layers, also openings in the first paper layer (Gegenstromrundsieblage) can be introduced.

The suction device is according to a first embodiment of WO 2006/099971 A2 designed as a perforated plate roller having a plate drum in paper web width. In the sheet-metal drum holes are introduced in a desired arrangement and size, the sheet-metal drum is provided with a vacuum suction. The perforated plate roller is rotatably mounted and arranged at a small distance to the pick-up felt, on which the second paper web is guided to the pressure roller. The circumference of the sheet metal drum corresponds to the length of a sheet and is thus in register with the first round screen. In addition, the perforated plate roller is driven in register with the first round screen to maintain registration. Paper fibers can be sucked out of the second paper web via the vacuum suction connection and holes, so that new effects can be achieved in the register for the first paper web.

The WO 2006/099971 A2 However, further states that in confined spatial conditions, the perforated plate roller can only have a small diameter, so that the contact surface with the Kurzformerlage and thus the time for the extraction of paper fibers will also be small. As a solution suggests the WO 2006/099971 A2 not to make the suction around, but in trapezoidal or triangular form, with one side of the trapezoid or triangle interacts with the paper web. Here, a plurality of individual Absaugformen is mounted on a flexible base material, which is driven by a chain. A disadvantage of this suction device, however, is that due to the complexity of a large number of individual components must work together.

The invention is therefore based on the object to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and another specific embodiment of a specify generic device for producing a security paper.

This object is solved by the features of the independent claim. Further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

According to the invention, the suction device comprises an endless belt of a sieve-like fabric or with a closed surface, wherein the endless belt has at least one recess in register with the at least one point at which the paper fibers are to be removed from the paper web in the still moist state. The endless belt is stretched on at least two adjustable in their position guide rollers. A suction roll or suction box is disposed on the side of the endless belt opposite the paper web, the suction roll or suction box creating a vacuum and sucking the paper fibers through the recesses of the belt.

According to the invention thus recesses or holes are cut in the endless belt, which are arranged at a distance as the windows of the later finished banknote.

Preferably, the endless belt consists of a sieve-like fabric, which consists of plastic, copper, bronze or other suitable materials. Alternatively, the endless belt is made of an impermeable material, such as rubber, plastic or other suitable materials.

According to an advantageous embodiment, at least one spray tube is arranged on the side of the endless belt on which the paper web is located. The spray tube sprays a liquid onto the paper web so that pulp is conveyed through the recesses or holes of the endless belt from the suction apparatus into the suction roll or the suction box.

According to a further advantageous embodiment, the individual fibers of the sieve-like fabric are connected to each other at the edge of each recess, for example, welded, glued or soldered so as not to impair the mechanical stability of the screen or perforated fabric.

According to a further advantageous embodiment, at least one of the recesses E-types and / or Spritzgussnäpfchen equipped. E-types are known, for example, for the production of watermarks in round-screen paper machines from the prior art. Injection molding for insertion in recesses of a round screen, for example, from DE 10 2012 014 894 A1 known. These E-types and / or injection cups are inserted into the recess, so that a mechanical stabilization of the edge of the recesses in the endless belt or structuring within the recess is possible.

According to the invention thus creates a round screen tube with cut holes, wherein the distance of the recesses or holes from each other corresponds to the distance of the arranged on the finished banknote window. This Rundsiebschlauch thus treated is stretched onto a device, wherein in the embodiments or the figure descriptions two different embodiments of this device are shown as examples.

The device according to the invention can be used for example for security elements, as they are made WO 2006/018171 A2 are known. WO 2006/018171 A2 relates here to a security element for securing security papers, documents of value and the like with a transparent or translucent carrier. Here, the transparent or translucent support is provided with a mark of authenticity, which conveys a first optical impression in transmitted light and conveys a second optical impression in reflected light in front of a predetermined and easily accessible background, which differs significantly from the first optical impression.

Furthermore, the device according to the invention can, for example, also for the targeted extraction of a layer of paper to produce a so-called "pendulum thread" whose surface is completely embedded in sub-areas in the substrate and covered with paper and in other sub-areas on one side not covered with paper and thus is guided to the surface of the substrate.

A security paper in the context of this invention is the unprinted paper, which is usually in quasi-endless form and is further processed at a later date.

Multi-ply security paper contains at least one ply of paper. The further layers can likewise be made of paper, but also of other materials, for example by plastic films. The security paper is particularly preferably made of cotton fibers, as used for example for banknotes.

Preferably, the substrate may also be made of paper of other natural fibers, also preferably of synthetic fibers, i. a mixture of natural and synthetic fibers or also preferably consist of at least one plastic film. Further preferably, the substrate consists of a combination of at least two superimposed and interconnected different substrates, a so-called hybrid, for example a combination of plastic film-paper-plastic film, i. a paper substrate is covered on either side by a plastic film, or paper plastic film paper, i. a substrate made of a plastic film is covered on each of its two sides by a paper substrate.

Information on the weight of the substrate used are, for example, in the Scriptures DE 102 43 653 A9 specified. The font DE 102 43 653 A9 in particular states that the paper layer usually has a weight of 50 g / m 2 to 100 g / m 2 , preferably from 80 g / m 2 to 90 g / m 2 . Of course, depending on the application, any suitable weight can be used.

Value documents for which such a security paper can be used are, in particular, banknotes, stocks, bonds, certificates, vouchers, checks, high-quality admission tickets, but also other counterfeit securities, such as passports and other identity documents, as well as cards, such as credit or debit cards, for example. whose card body has at least one layer of security paper, and also product securing elements, such as labels, seals, packaging and the like.

The simplified term security paper or value document includes all the above materials, documents and product securing means.

A security element in the context of this invention is preferably an endless security element, which may be formed for example by a security thread or a wide security band. Security threads have a width of 2 mm or less, usually about 1 mm. Wider endless security elements are also referred to as security bands. In particular, they have a width of 4 mm to 20 mm, sometimes even up to 30 mm. While the narrower security threads are mostly embedded in the first paper layer, the wide security tapes typically divide the first paper layer into two parts so that they are visible and accessible on both sides of the paper layer. In this case, a characteristic deckle edge is advantageously formed in the edge regions of the security band, which is not reproduce by cutting or punching. The security element may also be fastened with an adhesive in the first paper layer. The endless security element can moreover be equipped with optically variable effects, in particular with a diffraction structure, a hologram, a color shift effect or another interference layer effect. It can also be provided with a printed image, in particular positive or negative characters.

Fig. 1 to 4 show in schematic representation in each case a Doppelrundsieb paper machine, as it is used in the production of security paper. The paper machine contains two rotary screen paper machines 1 and 2, which communicate with each other via a take-off screen 8. The round screen paper machine 1 in this case represents the first wet end of the paper machine and is also referred to as a short shaper, the round screen paper machine 2 represents the second wet end of the paper machine.

A suction device according to the invention can either according to Fig. 1 or Fig. 3 between the two rotary screen paper machines 1 and 2 or according to Fig. 2 or Fig. 4 be arranged after the second round-screen paper machine 2.

In a first embodiment, the suction device according to Fig. 1 and 2 from a suction roll 4. The suction roll is in this case within an endless belt 9 of a sieve-like fabric. The endless belt 9 is mechanically tensioned by at least two positionally adjustable guide rollers 3, so that it runs taut over the guide rollers 3 and the suction roller 4. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises a screen conditioning 6 of a plurality of cleaning spray tubes and a plurality of tube suckers, which clean the endless belt 9 and free of paper fibers or residues.

The suction roll consists of a perforated roll body and inside a sealed by sealing strips suction box. The suction box is rotatable, so the optimal suction position can be adjusted. Such suction rolls are known from the prior art, for example from the company Voit. A vacuum is applied to the suction roll, through which then the removal of the paper fibers through the perforated screen fabric takes place.

In a second embodiment is according to Fig. 3 and 4 within the endless belt 9 instead of the suction roller 4, a pipe suction or suction box 7 and otherwise the same components, as in the first embodiment.

The suction box is slotted at the point of contact of the sieve-like fabric or ribbon. The suction box is subjected to a negative pressure, through which then takes place the removal of the paper fibers through the perforated screen fabric in the slot of the sucker. Such suction boxes are known from the prior art, for example from the companies Wefapress, IBS etc.

The construction of both embodiments is pivoted into the transfer screen already loaded with a take-off sieve 8 (after short shaper or after couch roll or suitable place), so that a converging or converging gap between take-off sieve 8 and endless belt 9 results. In this gap, the paper web is dewatered and at the same time reaches the zone of the suction roll 4 and the suction box 7, respectively.

About the suction roller 4 and the suction box 7, a spray tube 5 is positioned, which injects a liquid through the intake screen 8 while the pulp through the holes 10 of the endless belt 9 from the suction device into the suction roll 4 and the suction box 7.

Thereafter, the take-off sieve 8 continues to run, the paper provided with holes being held on the take-off sieve 8 by means of a vacuum cleaner.

Fig. 5 shows an inventive endless belt 9, in the recesses or holes 10 are introduced. The arrangement of these holes 10 in this case corresponds to the holes which are located in the end product, for example a banknote or a sheet of banknotes.

The band 9 is designed as an endless sieve-like planar tissue or impermeable structure. As strip materials suitable metals or alloys or plastics can be used.

The design of the holes 10 must be designed so that the edges of the holes 10 are clearly defined, so that no fibers can be deposited. To improve the edge sharpness, the above-mentioned E-types or injection-molded cups can be used.
