Abstract

La présente invention concerne l'extraction de vapeurs volatiles d'un récipient de stockage en établissant une circulation d'un courant de vapeurs volatiles issues du récipient de stockage et en dirigeant le courant de vapeurs à travers un module d'échange thermique afin de condenser une partie des vapeurs dans le courant circulant à travers des condenseurs d'échange thermique refroidis dans le module d'échange thermique. Le système de récupération de vapeurs offre également un moyen de désorber une unité d'adsorption de carbone qui approche sa capacité pour adsorber les molécules organiques volatiles et recycler le courant de vapeurs désorbées à travers un condenseur d'échange thermique refroidi afin de transformer la matière organique volatile en état liquide pouvant être vendue comme produit ou utilisée comme matière première plutôt que d'être brûlée ou autrement libérée dans l'atmosphère.
