Description

The invention relates to a combination of a drainage channel with a cover according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Drainage channels for draining surfaces are widely known.

The covers of such drainage channels must generally be able to be driven over, whereby the loads occurring here are very different. In some cases, the speeds at which vehicles roll over the drainage channels or their covers are very high, which means that the covers are subjected to sudden impulses. These impulse loads cause the covers to move, "breathe" so to speak, with the compression and rebound being determined by various forces, namely the loading forces on the one hand and the spring forces inherent in the material or the structure and construction on the other. These movements in turn lead to not inconsiderable wear and tear, on the one hand, and noise pollution, on the other hand.

In principle, these movements could be prevented by screwing the covers to the channels at both ends. This is expressed both by the necessary construction and by the assembly processes laborious. That is why simpler locks, for example relatively simple snap locks, are often chosen, but they then bring the disadvantages mentioned above at least with them if the arrangements are made simple and inexpensive, as is the case, for example, in DE 20 2004 000 899 U1 , the DE 88 10 154 U1 or the DE 27 27 790 A1 is shown.

Out of EP 0 248 427 A2 a combination according to the preamble of claim 1 of a drainage channel with a cover with expandable locking arms which cooperate with abutment surfaces is known.

In EP 0 758 038 A1 and EP 2 468 969 A2 describe drainage channels whose covers have locking elements and joints.

The invention is based on the object of demonstrating a drainage channel of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that increased stability can be achieved with little construction and assembly effort, particularly under dynamic loads.

This object is achieved by a combination of a drainage channel with a cover according to patent claim 1.

In particular, this object is achieved by a combination of a drainage channel with a cover with a cover and with two ends to which further drainage channels can be connected, including locking devices that ensure a detachable connection between the cover and the drainage channel to lift the cover, in that the cover, in addition to the locking devices, has clamping devices in the region of the ends to ensure a frictional connection between the cover and the drainage channel, the locking devices being fitted between the clamping devices in the longitudinal direction of the cover.

Because frictional connections (and not form-fitting screw connections) are provided, on the one hand the design effort is relatively low, but on the other hand it was surprisingly shown that such frictional connections prevent the above-described "breathing" of the covers on the drainage channels to a considerable extent.

The clamping means are preferably provided in the region of the ends of the cover and no further than about one quarter of the total length of the cover from the ends. Because the clamping devices are provided in precisely this critical area, the movement of the cover on the drainage channel is particularly effectively dampened when the cover is driven over.

In the region of the ends, the clamping devices are preferably arranged in pairs opposite one another, that is to say symmetrically. This results in an effective prevention of the movements mentioned.

These clamping devices can be designed in many different forms. Preferably, they have projections formed with upper and lower bevels. This design ensures that the covers are easy to produce while at the same time being easy to assemble and disassemble. In particular, the lower sloping surfaces should have such a flatter angle of rise than the upper sloping surfaces that the cover can be placed on the drainage channel with less force than it can be removed. This facilitates assembly and increases the damping effect of the clamping devices. In addition, the cover is pressed more firmly onto the drainage channel during vibration.

The locking devices can be designed in many different forms. The manufacture of the arrangement becomes particularly simple when the clamping devices are configured essentially identically to the locking devices. So if the clamping devices - as indicated above - have projections with inclined surfaces, the drainage channel can have undercuts behind which the upper inclined surfaces of the clamping devices snap.

The cover can be implemented particularly easily as a plastic injection molded part.

In the following description, the same reference numerals are used for the same parts and parts with the same effect.

How out 1 The embodiment of the invention shown here comprises a cover 10 having a first end 11 and a second end 12 and comprising slots 13 for admitting surface water separated by webs 14 communicating with side supports 15, 15' . From the cross-sectional views according to the Figures 2-4 shows that the cover 10 is seated on a channel 1, the first end 2 of which is flush with the first end 11 of the cover and the second end 3 of which is flush with the second end 12 of the cover. The channel 1 has side walls 4, 4', on the upper end of which the cover 10 rests with its side supports 15, 15'.

Longitudinal webs 16 are arranged on the side supports 15, 15' and project downwards (see Figures 5 and 6 ) that protrude into channel 1. Clamping devices 30 are provided on both sides of these longitudinal webs 16 , each projecting outwards and each comprising a projection 31 which comprises an upper inclined surface 32 and a lower inclined surface 33 . Viewed in the longitudinal direction of the cover 10, the longitudinal webs 16 have corrugated sections 34, 34′ before and after the projection 31, so that the longitudinal webs 16 in the area of the clamping device or the projection 31 have increased elasticity compared to lateral forces (transverse to the longitudinal direction).

In the embodiment shown here, the side walls 4, 4' of the channel 1 are smooth in the vicinity of the ends 11, 12 of the cover 10, so that when the cover 10 is placed on the channel 1, the projections 31 deform the shaft sections 34, 34' are pressed inwards and are in frictional contact with the side walls 4, 4' of the channel 1.

In the middle of the cover 10 identically designed clamping devices 30 with projections 31 are provided, but the channel 1 has recesses, the undercuts 5, 5' (see 3 ) form. When the cover 10 is placed on the channel 1, the projections 31 of the clamping device 30 snap into these undercuts 5, 5' and thus form a lock. The fact that the upper inclined surfaces 32 of the projections 31 are steeper than the lower inclined surfaces 33 makes it easier to place a cover 10 on the channel 1, on the one hand, and on the other hand, in the case of the centrally mounted locking devices 20, these steeper upper inclined surfaces 32 act as a strong hold in the Undercuts 5, 5'. In the area of the ends 11, 12 of the cover 10, this asymmetrical design of the inclined surfaces 32, 33 acts in the sense of an increased frictional force when the cover 10 is lifted off the channel 1 compared to touching it down. This ensures that during dynamic movements of the cover 10 on the channel 1, for example by walking over or driving over it, a total resulting force (viewed over time) acts downwards, which presses the cover 10 more firmly onto the channel 1 in the event of vibrations.
