The present invention is based on the object, starting from a generic impeller to allow easy mounting of the balancing thread by hand directly in the balancing machine. Here, a positionally accurate and secure attachment of balancing weights over the entire circumference of the impeller should be possible and unwanted flow noise should be avoided by the balancing weights. In this case, an improved recording of balancing brackets at axially spaced levels of an axial or radial fan to be proposed in order to allow optimal dynamic balancing of the fan.
According to the invention this is achieved in that the balancing weights are formed of U-shaped curved forceps made of resilient material, with at least two opposing clip legs which are interconnected via an arc section and between the clip legs include a nip, wherein one of the clip legs within the pockets and the other clip leg extends outwardly of the pockets such that there is a nip on a pocket wall in the nip, where in a radial fan design the blades pass between a top disk and a bottom disk, and the hub is formed on the bottom disk, the pockets on the one hand in one an inlet opening of the cover disc surrounding approach are formed and on the other hand in an axially directed away from the cover disc, integrally formed on the bottom disc collar, the approach and the collar are circular in cross section, and the diameter of the annular collar is less than or equal to the diameter of Approach and wherein in a training as axial fan on a hollow cylindrical hub radially projecting fan blades are formed and on the one hand the pockets in a front end of the hub formed end wall and on the other hand in a formed at the opposite hub end collar, and wherein the diameter in the region of the end wall larger or equal to the diameter in the region of the pockets of the annular collar. The inventive design a precise position setting the balancing brackets on the wheel is possible, and the balancing brackets according to the invention can not be thrown by centrifugal forces from the fan. In addition, the balancers also generate no noise because they are not in the air flow of the fan. The embodiment of the invention allows a very easy joining by hand with a good grip of the balancing brackets in the respective balancing bag. To set the balancers according to the invention no resources such as hand presses, hammers or presses are necessary. In addition, the joining of the balancing brackets can be done in the balancing pockets in the mounted position in the balancing machine. As a result, when loading and unloading the fan from the balancing machine or in the balancing machine saves time and also so-called tandem balancing machines can be used. In addition, so-called double sensor techniques for finding the imbalance on the fan can be used by means of insertion aids. Also, it is no longer necessary to provide balancing marks on the fan in order to achieve a positionally accurate balancing.
