Um eine Vorrichtung zum Bearbeiten von Ösen in einem planen- oder tuchartigen Gegenstand gemäß dem Oberbegriff zu schaffen, die es ermöglicht, Ösen verschiedener Durchmesser sicher zu öffnen, wird im Rahmen der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, daß der Amboß (6) eine Öffnung (7) aufweist, deren freier Querschnitt im Wesentlichen dem Durchmesser der größten zu entfernenden Ösen entspricht und daß Mittel zum Reduzieren des freien Querschnitts der Öffnung vorgesehen sind.
