Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gluing machine for attaching a gluing tape to an end face of a work piece according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Adhesive machines are known in which the adhesive is heated in a vessel.
  • a circulation pump pumps the liquid adhesive in the direction of the band, where it wets the band. Unused liquid adhesive flows back from the adhesive outlet towards the vessel or other collection container. For example, unpleasant adhesive vapors can result from the generally open guidance of the adhesive.
  • An adhesive machine according to the preamble of claim 1 is for example made EP 1987891 A2 known.
  • the amount of adhesive is optimally adjusted, so to speak, and the smallest possible but sufficient amount of adhesive on the Adhesive outlet ready to be applied to the band.
  • the preparation arrangement has, for example, a control device.
  • the control device includes, for example, a microprocessor or other processing unit.
  • control of a mechanical or semi-mechanical nature is also possible, i. that the preparation arrangement, as a function of the adjustment of individual components of the gluing machine, adjusts itself, as it were, to the adhesive volume to be delivered.
  • the controller operates e.g. proportional.
  • a valve member provided on the adhesive outlet can be taken along by a width adjustment device for adapting the band guide device to a respective width of the bandage band in order to optimally adjust the volume of adhesive to be dispensed.
  • the preparation arrangement thus operates as needed and adjusts depending on at least one or more parameters, the optimum amount of adhesive.
  • the preparation arrangement has, as it were, a volumetric control.
  • the gluing machine can also be used, for example, in inclined positions without the adhesive getting into the environment.
  • the preparation arrangement provides the amount of liquid adhesive actually required, so that it is reliably consumed and does not stick as excess adhesive, for example, the gluing machine or the workpiece plate.
  • the preparation arrangement is arranged in an upper region of the machine housing, so that the preparation arrangement is arranged in a position of use, when the gluing machine is guided along the work piece plate, above a tape outlet of the tape guide means for guiding the gluing tape to the end face of the work piece.
  • An advantage here is that the liquid adhesive flows downwards, so to speak, in the direction of the adhesive outlet.
  • the inventive control of the adhesive volume is particularly advantageous in this context, namely because the liquid adhesive, for example, due to its gravity already flows down towards the adhesive outlet and the preparation arrangement, in particular their control device ensures that provided only so much adhesive becomes, as is actually needed. Thus, not too much adhesive gets in the direction of the adhesive outlet, which could then pollute the gluing machine or its environment.
  • the preparation arrangement is expediently designed for such an exact provision of the adhesive volume in the measure required for wetting or coating of the adhesive band that essentially no excess adhesive drips off the band or the adhesive outlet.
  • this does not mean that, for example, during a start-up phase, some adhesive may not get into the open, which is not being applied to the banding.
  • the at least one parameter can be detected by sensors, for which purpose suitable sensors are advantageously provided in the gluing machine, for example optical sensors, position sensors, tactile sensors, capacitive sensors, inductive sensors and the like.
  • the at least one parameter is adjustable, for example by an operator or a control device of the gluing machine itself.
  • the operator can specify, for example, a feed speed of the gluing machine or an adhesive quantity applied to the gluing tape on a control element, an operating interface or the like, which can then be detected by the gluing machine or its control device, for example as an operating input and thus parameters. It can also be provided a sensory scanning of a control element, with which the operator specifies the or at least one parameter.
  • control device can set the parameter itself, as it were, for example, driving an adhesive pump corresponding to the lift-carrying adhesive amount or a width setting device for setting a width of the band which is to be processed, and so to speak knows the adjustable parameters to be set.
  • control device to a stepper motor whose position is always known to control according to the at least one parameter.
  • the parameter comprises a width value representing a width of the band of banding.
  • This width value can be sensed, for example by an optical sensor, for example, a touch sensor or the like, which optically detects or scans the band or its respective width, so to speak.
  • a width setting device is provided for adapting the tape guiding device to a respective width of the banding band.
  • a tape guide sensor is configured to detect the width value to scan or detect a position of the width adjusting device corresponding to a width of the tape, for example, optically or tactilely.
  • an actuator is entrained or adjusted, which serves to adjust the adhesive volume of the preparation arrangement.
  • a valve member of a control valve that adjusts the adhesive flow.
  • the at least one parameter can also comprise an adhesive thickness value which represents a layer thickness of the adhesive to be applied to the band of banding.
  • the adhesive thickness value can be adjusted, for example, on a user interface, by means of a setting switch or the like, on the gluing machine, preferably by an operator.
  • the at least one parameter may preferably include a feed speed value that is a feed rate represents, with which the gluing machine is guided along the workpiece plate along and / or the gluing tape is conveyed by the gluing machine in the direction of the workpiece plate.
  • a feed speed value that is a feed rate represents, with which the gluing machine is guided along the workpiece plate along and / or the gluing tape is conveyed by the gluing machine in the direction of the workpiece plate.
  • the preparation arrangement expediently has a quantity sensor for detecting a quantity of an adhesive supply located in an adhesive supply space of the gluing machine, which serves to produce the liquid adhesive.
  • the flow sensor may include a position of a conveyor member for conveying the adhesive toward the adhesive outlet.
  • the quantity sensor can also be formed by the control device itself, as it were. that it controls, for example, a conveyor drive for conveying the adhesive in the direction of the adhesive outlet with a manipulated variable, this manipulated variable then representing the pre-conveyed quantity of the adhesive and thus represents a quantity that the preparation arrangement, in particular their control device, as volume value to the volume evaluates the exact generation of the adhesive volume.
  • the quantity sensor may also comprise, for example, a float or an optical sensor for detecting an adhesive supply in the form of granules.
  • an optical sensor for detecting a position of the adhesive supply relative to an outlet of the adhesive-providing space comprises.
  • a length of an adhesive stick or adhesive cartridge may be detected by such a quantity sensor.
  • other measuring methods are possible, for example, capacitive measuring methods or the like to a To detect the amount of adhesive supply.
  • the gluing machine then has a capacitive quantity sensor and on.
  • the preparation arrangement does not have to directly detect the volume of the adhesive actually flowing out of the adhesive outlet in order to optimally adjust its quantity. That would be possible in a variant of the invention. However, because sensory detection of the flowing adhesive volume may be relatively difficult, it is preferable if the preparation assembly determines the volume of adhesive needed at the adhesive outlet for applying the adhesive to the band without actually sensing to the adhesive outlet flowing volume of the adhesive is designed.
  • the preparation arrangement accordingly operates with other parameters, for example the conveying speed with which the adhesive is conveyed in the direction of the band or adhesive outlet.
  • the other parameters explained above for example the feed speed of the gluing machine with respect to the work piece plate or the gluing tape with respect to the gluing machine, can also serve for the preparation arrangement for the exact setting of the glue volume for the glue outlet.

It is advantageously provided that the preparation arrangement can be provided with an arithmetic unit for calculating a length value which represents a length of the band of gluing which, depending on the currently set and / or sensory detected at least one parameter, can still be provided with adhesive. Output means are provided, for example a graphical display to indicate the length value. Thus, as it were a range indicator is present, which signals to the operator whether the pending for processing length of the workpiece plate can be provided with banding tape or whether he must first fill the adhesive supply.

  • the spindle or the rod 87 is secured with respect to the adjusting shaft 84 against rotation.
  • the piston 83 is secured against rotation in the staging area 28.
  • a position sensor 135, such as a micro-switch, serves to detect the position of the spindle nut 132 and thus indirectly to detect the position of the conveying member 82. Namely, when the piston 83 abuts with a predetermined pressure on the adhesive pieces P in the staging space 28, the spindle nut 132 the rod 87 / spindle no longer driving in the direction of an adjustment in the direction of the heater 90, but rotates on the spindle or rod 87 in a sense away from the heater 90, wherein it exerts an increasing force on the spring 133, which finally an example operated as a lever transmission member 136 is actuated, in turn, the position sensor 135 triggers. Then, a predetermined pressure on the adhesive pieces P is reached. Now there is a possibility that the drive 86 simply shuts off.
  • the motor 129 driving the worm 130 still runs somewhat in the sense of relaxing the pressure on the adhesive pieces P.
  • the position sensor 135 thus triggers a reversal of the motion of the drive 86.
  • the motor then still runs back a predetermined distance, so that the arrangement is relaxed so far that the adhesive can expand when switching on the heater 90 by a certain amount and thereby no excessive pressure on the closing valve, at least in the direction of the adhesive outlet 71 exerts, but a defined, depending on the temperature of the heater 90 pressure.
  • the functions of the gluing machine 10 are controlled by a control device 160, preferably a microprocessor control, controlled.
  • the control device 160 includes, for example, a processor 161 and a memory 162 in which one or more control programs 163 are stored.
  • the controller 160 receives a signal from the tape feed switch 17 and accordingly drives the drive motor 53.
  • controller 160 may also drive, for example, the actuator 141 to fully open and close the adhesive outlet 71, or may also drive the adhesive outlet 71 partially in proportion to the desired adhesive application thickness.
  • control device 160 also controls the motor 129 of the pressure-generating unit 81 or of the conveyor 89.
  • the control device 160 can also be controlled by the operating interface 150, for example by means of the operating keys 154 and, in turn, in turn directs the display 151 to suitable displays.
  • the control device 160 now ensures that only so much adhesive K is prepared that no or only insignificantly drops adhesive K from the adhesive outlet 71.
  • the control device 160 is, for example, a component of the preparation arrangement 80 for providing a volume of the adhesive K at the adhesive outlet 71.
  • the control device 160 controls the components of the preparation arrangement 80 involved in this manner in dependence on at least one adjustable and / or sensor-detectable parameter in such a way, that they are the volume of the adhesive K for the Provide application to the adhesive outlet 71 in a suitable for application to the Umleimerband U liquid state in the exact size possible.
  • the parameters are, for example, at least one parameter sensed by sensors, for which purpose suitable sensors are provided, or parameters which can be set, for example, on the operating interface 150, for example a layer thickness of the adhesive K which is to be applied to the band U.
  • the adjustable parameters can also be detected by the control device 160, so to speak, by recognizing its respective position as a parameter when controlling, for example, the motor 129 and / or the drive motor 53 and / or the servomotor 141.
  • the so-called volumetric control of the control device 160 only opens the closing valve realized by the valve member 74 when adhesive K is actually to be applied to the banding band U.
  • the amount adjustment is so sensitive and accurate that not too much and not too little adhesive K is applied.
  • controller 160 evaluates, for example, the closing parameter 144 and / or the adhesive thickness value 143.
  • controller 160 is also configured to evaluate the width value 149.
  • the width value 149 could also be known to the control device 160, for example, in that it actuates a positioning motor (not shown), for example a stepping motor, for adjusting the width setting device 60 and thereby knows its position correlating with the width B.
  • a positioning motor not shown
  • a stepping motor for adjusting the width setting device 60
  • the control device 160 controls the conveyor 89 and / or Their motor 29 so that always the drip-free exactly matching amount of volume of the adhesive K for coating the Umleimerbands U exits from the outlet openings 73.
  • control device 160 by the exact startup procedure described above after the insertion of adhesive pieces P in the staging space 28 and the exact position of the motor 129, which ultimately represents a quantity parameter 164 for the existing adhesive supply.
  • a sensory detection with, for example, an optical sensor or a weight sensor or the like of the adhesive supply in the staging area 28 would also be possible.
  • the motor 129 so to speak contributes its position signal to a calculation of a range information.
  • the control device 160 is able to calculate in advance from the still existing adhesive stock in the staging area 28 which length of Umleimerband U can still be coated with adhesive K.
  • the range information is output by the control device 160 at the operating interface 150 as range display 152.
