Description

The invention relates to a fabric device comprising a plurality of warp yarns held together by a plurality of weft yarns into a two-edged tape-like structure, wherein the mutual spacing of two weft yarns in a first portion of a first edge is different than the mutual mutual spacing Weft yarns in a first portion of the other edge opposite the first edge to effect a curved arrangement of the warp yarns in that portion of the belt-like structure disposed between the opposing first portions of the respective outer edges.

Tissue devices of the type mentioned above are known in the art in a variety of different arrangements to meet different requirements for strength and drapability. However, the known tissue devices all have the Disadvantage of that in a band-like structure no positive and negative curvatures, each with flowing transitions are possible.

From the publication EP 0 819 188 B1 a method for weaving a three-dimensionally shaped tissue zone is known, wherein in the tissue zone by a targeted use of different binding point densities the tissue a change imposed on its internal structure and thereby a targeted three-dimensional buckling of the fabric zone is set, wherein the number of binding points is changed by changing the number of embedded warp or weft threads and / or by changing the nature of the bond. In this case, an arbitrarily three-dimensionally shaped fabric zone is to be created, the structures of which can be arbitrarily specified and adjusted independently of the three-dimensional shape, in particular with regard to density and homogeneity in the warp and weft directions.

As a result, each individual warp 110 and thus in the band-like structure adjacent sections are provided with different curvature. The curvatures in the band-like structure have sections with both positive and negative curvature.

The mutual distances of the weft threads 120 of each edge 130, 140 thereby change continuously in each section with a length of five weft threads 120.

Furthermore, a third section of the first edge 130 with a length of five weft threads 120 is provided, in which the mutual distances of the weft threads 120 in relation to the mutual distances of the weft threads 120 in the third section 143 opposite the third section 133 of the first edge 131 of the second edge 140 cause a straight course of the band-like structure.

The warp and weft yarns 110, 120 are arranged according to a twill weave to provide an anisotropic tape-like structure with varying degrees of drapability in different directions.

By different coatings of the warp and weft threads 110, 120, different frictional resistances in the area of the surface of the warp and weft threads 110, 120 are realized in order to promote a drapability of the tape-like structure by means of a reduction of the frictional resistance or to reduce it by means of a promotion of the frictional resistance.

The warp and weft threads 110, 120 are further textured to form a bend as well as a bow to promote three-dimensional surface shapability of the ribbon-like structure.
