Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fully manual body massage suction cup, specifically developed to facilitate the treatment of the removal of cellulite and orange peel, especially in simultaneous use with a composition preferably oily on the skin.
  • the present invention also aims to facilitate the massage thanks to its ergonomic shape and a simple and powerful use in terms of massage, without any power supply.
  • the fat cells are separated by fibrous honeycomb tissues, which create small compartments. These fibrous tissues are elastic, but they have a maximum of stretching. When the fat cells grow too much (fat storage), the tissues can not stretch anymore, causing the orange peel to appear. This process is self-sustaining due to slowing traffic and stagnation of metabolic waste. A better revitalization of living tissues is not very sensitive to slimming diets but reacts to mechanical massage by palpating and rolling. Palpate-rolling is one of the most used techniques to fight cellulite. Its main purpose will be to soften the fibrous network settling over time around adipocytes that block the elimination of fat they contain. By softening this network of fibers, palpating and rolling will have the effect of decongesting the blood vessels and lymphatics, compressed by fat-saturated adipocytes and facilitate the elimination of stored toxins and fats.
  • the present invention aims to use either an oil or an oily solution or another fat or cream body, gel for bath or shower, combined with the suction cup according to the invention (Celluli VAC suction cup) to reproduce the palpate-rolling massage.
  • the Celluli VAC suction cup is applied to the parts of the body to be massaged previously coated with a cosmetic product mentioned above.
  • gesture of use is simple, and can be done by oneself and preferably with one hand.
  • the invention must allow to slide the suction cup on the skin in a harmonious way and continues smoothly and also control the suction force and pressure so as not to damage the skin.
  • the invention must also optimize and allow perfect grip especially since the suction cup must be used with an oily cosmetic product so very slippery by nature.
  • the device ('massage appliance') disclosed in this patent comprises different parts: a handle made of rigid material, an elastomer dome, an intermediate element consisting of a ring, fastening means, all in circular shape.
  • the apparatus described in this American document comprises a spring ( figure 2 , item 7) as an essential element of the invention, see also the text, first page, line 98-104: ' and arranged therein a coiled spring 7, having one end thereof, as at 8 anchored in the head piece 2 and its other end, as at 9 anchored in the cup element 5.
  • the spring normally retains the handle element in an extended position.
  • the apparatus according to this document comprises 'massaging fingers' 15, see figure 2 , whose description on page 2, line 20-24 states: ' a series of resilient tips or fingers of different lengths and of tapered outline. The tips or fingers are provided for massaging and the length is less than the depth of the cup shaped body portion 12. '.
  • line 26 to 30 it is described that the cupola (body portion 12) can be retracted upwards (see the broken lines at figure 2 ). This implies that there is no more vacuum at the dome and that the massage action is exerted only by the 'fingers' 15, or use without suction action. The advantageous effect of the creation of a vacuum at the skin is therefore not present when the apparatus according to this American document is used in practice.
  • the massage effect is obtained by the massage fingers (15).
  • the use is 'static'. This implies that the device is placed at a certain place on the skin, the massage action takes place and each time the user wants to repeat the same massage action to another place on the skin, it is necessary to move the device and repeat all the action.
  • the US cup is used by pressing the handle up and down vertically by a piston movement located at a fixed location of the body without displacement.
  • a piston movement located at a fixed location of the body without displacement.
  • suction cup which is used by making the call of air by the sides of the suction cup; laterally and not by the handle in a vertical piston movement.
  • the main claim (on page 6/7) even specifies that by the force of a human hand it is possible to reduce the diameter of the original form of the bell by at least half the time.
  • the different parts are also made of very distinct materials: the handle and the ring are made of hard material, while the dome is made of deformable material.
  • the suction cup described in this utility model can not be used statically: if the user wants to treat a part of the skin other than the current location of the suction cup, he must detach the suction cup from the skin, then move the suction cup to a new location on the skin and redo the entire massage operation.
  • an adhesive tape is attached to the horizontal part of the bar. Then we attach this horizontal part of the bar with this adhesive tape to the part of the skin that we want to treat.
  • Paragraph 44 in column 8 of the description clearly states that the dome and bar are made of a material that has a certain rigidity, for example a synthetic resin, see a plastic, a metal or any similar material.
  • Paragraph 45 (in the chapter “Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention", “Preferred Method for Practicing the Invention") describes that by preference use is made of a double-coated adhesive tape.
  • suckers described in the state of the art generally have the disadvantage of not having a proper grip for practical purposes.
  • suckers described in the state of the art do not allow the user to slide on the skin, while keeping the vacuum under the dome.
  • the invention aims to solve the problems of the prior art, particularly thanks to its ergonomic shape of the suction cup object of the present invention.
  • the invention aims to facilitate the use of the suction cup with its rigid handle for sliding the suction pad on the skin easily with one hand while maintaining a continuous suction force.
  • the invention aims to provide users with a suction cup, to practice massage palper-roll, which can be used at home to avoid passage through a professional center.
  • the invention also allows a massage by continuous rolling palpation with perfectly controlled suction and pressure force and a surface of application of the cup on the perfectly smooth skin (without any trace of welding which can irritate the skin during the movement) and proportion adapted to the areas to be treated.
  • finger (s) of a hand includes a thumb or one (or more) finger (s).
  • the material of the cupola is deformable under pressure of human fingers (or a finger in combination with a thumb) so that the dome is depressed for the removal of air and that the suction is in a parallel plane with the skin. In such a way the air is removed from the dome, and by relaxing the dome, a depression is created at the dome, dragging the skin inside the dome.
  • the handle of the suction cup comprises a hard polymer, for example a hard polypropylene.
  • the dome comprises an elastomer, preferably a silicone.
  • the silicone and the materials used are perfectly compatible with an oily solution with high concentrations of essential oils.
  • these materials do not contain Bisphenol A and are based on materials used in human nutrition and cosmetics.
  • the ring positioned between the handle and the dome is made of hard polymer, preferably hard polypropylene.
  • the handle, the dome and the ring are attached to each other by fixing means, preferably the combination of a screw and a nut.
  • the two metal elements are preferably bonded to each other by a point of metal glue.
  • An important feature of the invention is the presence of curved edges of the dome touching the skin. These edges are soft and soft, seamless to facilitate adhesion and sliding on the skin without irritating and follow perfectly marrying the contours of the curves to be treated, the suction effect is not relaxed during the movement .
  • the handle, the dome and the intermediate element are circular in shape.
  • the outer diameter of the handle is between half and 3 ⁇ 4 the outer diameter of the base of the dome touching the skin.
  • the height of the suction cup is less than the outside diameter of the base of the dome touching the skin.
  • the corners (9) of the curved edges are rounded, and no trace of irritating solder for the skin.
  • the invention aims to reduce the effects of cellulite and / or orange peel, comprising the application of the suction pad according to the invention to the skin of a product facilitating sliding: preferably a cosmetic oil followed by suction of a skin area covered by a suction cup as described above.
  • the invention also aims to facilitate the drainage and activate the microcirculation allowing the cosmetic active massage oil or cosmetic product used to better penetrate the skin to combine the beneficial effects of palpate roll to those of the oily solution applied.
  • the suction cup is made of materials specifically adapted to the flexibility required for this type of accessory.
  • a handle (1) surmounts this dome.
  • this handle is attached to the dome, for example by a screw ensuring the maintenance of the handle on the dome.
  • a ring (2) can be fixed as an intermediate between the dome and the handle. In order to ensure perfect grip of the handle and not being able to unscrew the handle, a point of metal glue can be added in the thread.
  • the present invention described above relates to a fully manual body massage suction cup, developed specifically for performing a mechanical massage "palpate-roll". It associates a suction effect of the skin by controlled suction of the suction cup and kneading by the effect of the massage of the cup of the suction cup on the skin by means of the pressure force exerted by the hand. It facilitates the treatment of the removal of cellulite and orange peel, especially in simultaneous use with a composition preferably oily on the skin.
  • This suction cup can be marketed under the name Celluli VAC®, trademark registered with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).
  • the suction cup according to a preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a dome surmounted by a ring and a rigid handle.
  • the handle allows a perfect grip.
  • This handle is used to slide the suction cup on the skin without risk of failure to grip or slip the suction cup with the oily product.
  • This good grip promotes the effectiveness of palpate-rolling used continuously on any type of longitudinal movement, circular etc ... and allows to follow the contours of the forms to be treated.
  • the handle allows to dose the pressure effect.
  • the suction cup is applied against the part of the body to be massaged ( Fig. 6 ), these are mostly calves, thighs, buttocks, waist and belly. The inside of the arms can also be treated.
  • the suction cup according to the invention is applied against the skin ( Fig. 6 ) which will have been preferably pre-coated with cosmetic oil.
  • the vacuum is preferably effected by pressing on the edges of the dome of the suction cup so that a slight depression can be formed inside the dome.
  • This pinching of the contours of the dome of the suction cup allows to measure the suction effect by lateral pressure (parallel with the surface of the skin to be treated) on the contours of the dome of the suction pad more or less strong. All without losing the suction cup in hand because the hand can thanks to the particularly ergonomic and studied form of the suction cup to do both in a single gesture and one hand control of suction / suction and pressure exerted on the skin. This allows in particular to dose these 2 actions in the same movement according to the more or less sensitive or painful areas on which the massage will be exercised.
  • the massage of the inside of the thigh can be more sensitive than on the top of the thigh, so it is important to be able to dose in the same movement and in a single gesture to both suction and pressure.
  • the handle allows to slide the suction cup on the skin. Thanks to a movement from the bottom to the top to facilitate the drainage, it is possible to carry out the effective massage according to the known classical techniques of palpate-rolling massage. It is therefore possible thanks to this good grip, both hold the suction cup by the handle and press the contours of the dome with one hand.
  • the size of the ring under the handle was made so that the grip of the suction cup is facilitated. Indeed, the height of our handle is made so that it is dimensioned to let the passage of the fingers between the handle and the dome and thus optimize the grip in order to slide the suction cup during the massage
  • This technique is very simple and can be easily done at home and with one hand.
  • suction cup There are always two essential maneuvers to be done: “smoothing” ( fig 6 , No. 1-3-4) from the bottom up to prepare the skin to receive stimulation and then the “whirlwind” ( fig 6 n ° 2-5-6) which will make it possible to work more deeply in the areas to be treated.
  • a cosmetic composition for example a cosmetic oil on the skin of the body to be massaged.
  • the applied cosmetic composition is preferably in oily form.
  • the displacement of the suction cup is allowed and facilitated by the cosmetic product which ensures a perfect sliding.
  • the suction cup according to the invention allows massages on parts of the human body and provides the skin a beneficial suction action. Users get professional results care while being at home.
  • the dome has the shape of a bell, whose edges touching the skin are curved.
  • the technical effect of these curved edges is that on the one hand they allow the user to easily slide the suction cup on the skin, especially in case the skin is previously covered with an oil, and secondly while slipping on the skin, to keep the vacuum under the dome.
  • the user can treat a portion of body surface large enough while sliding the suction cup on the skin. The action of releasing the vacuum, moving the suction cup a few centimeters and repeat the entire operation is no longer necessary.
  • the shape and dimensions of the curved edges of the dome are crucial, especially the ratios between the height and width of the edges, in the relationship between these dimensions and the thickness of the bell of the dome.
  • this goal can be achieved by designing curved edges of the dome so that the height (7) of the curves at the base of the dome (part that touches the skin) are approximately 1.83 the thickness (6) of the bell of the dome, and that the width (8) of the curves at the base of the dome touching the skin is between 1.5 and 2.5 times the thickness of the edges of the bell of the dome. the dome (6).
  • the thickness (6) of the dome bell material is preferably between 3 and 7 mm
  • the height (7) of the curved edges is generally between 4 and 8 mm, preferably between 5 and 7 mm and the width (8) of the curved edges is generally between 7 and 13 mm, preferably between 8 and 11 mm.
  • the curved edges of the suction cup are provided with rounded corners (9) devoid of welding. These corners facilitate the sliding of the suction cup on the skin.
  • the dome of the suction cup, at the edges touching the skin may have an inside diameter of 25 to 60 mm, preferably between 35 and 45 mm.
  • the dome of the suction cup, at the edges touching the skin may have an outer diameter of 45 to 80 mm, preferably between 55 and 65 mm.
  • the handle of the suction cup may have an outside diameter of between 25 mm and 60 mm, preferably between 30 and 50 mm
  • the total height of the suction cup according to the invention is between 35 and 65 mm, preferably between 45 and 55 mm.
  • the height of the handle is generally between 5 and 9 mm, preferably between 5 and 8 mm.
  • the height of the ring (2) is generally between 5 and 9 mm, preferably between 6 and 8 mm.
  • the diameter of the ring (2) positioned between the handle and the dome is smaller than the diameter of the handle to optimize grip in order to slide the suction cup easily during the massage.
  • the suction cup is going to be applied specifically to a smaller body surface such as the face or, on the contrary, to a larger body surface such as the back, the dimensions will be either significantly smaller or significantly greater compared to the dimensions of the body. the sucker that is applied to the kitchen or belly.
  • suction / suction system and pressure that can be achieved through the suction cup of the invention will achieve other massage type palpate-rolling for purposes other than those of the treatment of cellulite ; for example, drainage action and tissue revitalization for anti-aging or pain relief treatments.
