Description
The invention relates to a cutting tool for a shredder, mulcher or the like with a support body having at least one cutting area, in particular a cutting insert made of hard metal, ceramic or the like hard material, wherein the support body has one or more screw receptacles, and wherein the support body on the back one or has a plurality of lugs which protrude opposite to the tool feed direction via a support surface.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a cutting tool of the type mentioned above, which can be reliably mounted and with which the loading forces occurring during operation can be safely removed.
This object is achieved in that spaced apart from the or the screw receptacles extending in a tool feed direction recess is introduced into the support body. First, the recess forms an assembly aid, wherein an approach arranged on the tool holder approach can dive into the recess. This allows the installer to find a reliable assignment of cutting tool and tool holder even in confusing places. In another joining movement also dive the approaches or those around the threaded holes are arranged around, in corresponding receptacles of the tool holder. Subsequently, the fastening screws can be screwed into the screw receptacles of the cutting tool, so that the cutting tool is securely fixed. A wrong assembly is virtually impossible with the embodiment of the invention. In addition, the indentation also defines an interface between the cutting tool and the tool holder. The appropriate tool must always have the recess so that it can be correctly mounted on the tool holder equipped with the attachment. A "wrong" tool without a recess can not be mounted correctly on the tool holder. This also ensures operational safety.
The cutting region of the cutting tool can be formed by a separate insert part, for example consisting of hard metal. It is also conceivable to perform the cutting area as armor, in particular hardfacing on the support body.
According to a preferred embodiment variant of the invention, it can be provided that the recess runs at least in regions in the region of the support surface. In this way, a compact design of the cutting tool can be achieved. For this purpose, it may additionally or alternatively be provided that the screw receptacles and the recess are arranged one behind the other in the radial direction. Then a narrow component design is achieved, which offers a low penetration resistance into the material to be shredded.
According to a variant of the invention, the support body may have at least two projections, which protrude on the rear side over the support surface and are arranged spaced from each other. In this case, the recess can extend at least partially between the projections. The projections protect the support surface from the attack of the shredded material. Depending on the tool design beyond the projections also be used for load transfer, if they offer investment areas with the tool holder.
Preferably, the recess is open radially outwards, so that a self-cleaning of the recess is possible. In particular, any comminuted material that has entered the recess is ejected radially outward. In this way, the transition area formed here between the tool holder and the cutting tool is kept free from contamination, so that a trouble-free tool exchange is possible. If, nevertheless, material has entered the intermediate area, it can be easily removed, for example with a screwdriver.
Particularly preferably, the projections form part of the support body radially outwardly delimiting cover portion. In this particularly wear-prone area, the lugs protect the tool holder.
A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention is such that the extent of the recess perpendicular to the support surface is greater than the projection of the projection or projections on the support surface. Additionally or alternatively, it can also be provided that the depth dimension of the recess, starting from the plane of the support surface, is greater than the projection of the projection or shoulders via the support surface. During assembly of the cutting tool in these embodiments, the approach of the tool holder meets first on the recess. Thus, the cutting tool can be aligned with respect to the tool holder. In the further joining movement of the cutting tool then meet the lugs, which are arranged around the threaded holes of the cutting tool around, on the recording in the tool holder, which receives these approaches. In this way, a targeted and correct assignment of the cutting tool to the tool holder even at confusing mounting positions easily possible.
A further preferred variant of the invention is such that at least two cutting inserts are attached to the support body transversely to the tool feed direction in the tool width direction. This segmentation of the cutting area reduces the risk of breakage for the hard material elements.
A further wear-optimized design of the cutting tool is made possible in that the support body has an apron on the front side, which is arranged below the cutting area, and which has a geometry that widens in the opposite direction to the tool feed direction. With this arrow-shaped configuration of the front region of the cutting tool, the comminuted material is deflected sideways at low wear. As a result, on the one hand, the wear of the cutting tool is reduced. On the other hand, however, the risk of washing out of the tool holder is reduced. This effect can also be improved by the skirt being inclined to the tool feed direction.
A particularly stable attachment of the cutting tool can be achieved in that the approaches are arranged around the screw receptacles, and wherein the lugs are connected to each other with a connecting portion.
