Definitions
- the invention relates to a press sling for connecting in particular tubular workpieces, wherein the bonding is effected in particular by pressing.
- sleeve-shaped press fittings are inserted over the two pipe ends to be connected and plastically deformed with the aid of a pressing tool.
- the press fittings are usually made of metal.
- the inner diameter of the press fitting is chosen slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe ends to be joined, so that due to the radial compression, the inside of the press fittings is pressed to the outside of the pipe ends and a solid, in particular tight connection is made due to the permanent deformation.
- the pressing, pressing tools or press slings are known.
- a multipart press sling known.
- This has a plurality of articulated interconnected chain-like pressing elements.
- the pressing elements are placed around the tubular workpieces, ie the press fitting arranged on the tube ends.
- a drive device be set at the open end of the pressing tool, ie at the closing point of the pressing tool.
- a complete closing of the pressing tool takes place, in that the two end pressing elements, ie the two pressing elements, between which the closing point is located, are moved toward one another.
- the drive element can be connected via suitable connecting elements such as pins with the two end-pressing elements for closing the pressing tool.
- press loops around the components to be pressed i. in particular be wrapped around the pipe joint and the sleeve-shaped press fitting.
- the individual chain-like interconnected pressing elements additionally comprise spring elements.
- the spring elements are arranged such that they always cause closing of the press loop around the press fitting.
- the opening of the press sling must therefore take place counter to the spring force.
- Such press slings have the significant advantage that slipping down is avoided.
- the opening of the press slings is made by a user who usually moves the two end press members apart to open the press sling. Due to the enlargement of the diameter that takes place as a result, a gap results between adjacent pressing elements or the pressing jaws borne by the press carriers. A press loop opened in this way is then placed over the press fitting to close and the two end press elements are moved towards each other again, this being done automatically with spring-loaded press loops, so that the user only has to reduce the holding force.
- press loops by a user, there is a risk that the user's skin will become trapped in the gap between pressing elements or pressing jaws which reduces in width during closing. This can lead to painful bruises, especially with spring-loaded press slings.
- the object of the invention is to provide a press sling in which the risk of bruising is reduced.
- Another independent object of the invention is to provide a press sling whose handling is improved by the user.
- a press sling for connecting in particular tubular workpieces, in particular for crimping a press fitting for connection of two pipe ends, has a plurality of press elements connected to one another in an articulated manner.
- the pressing elements are thus connected in a chain-like manner and form an open pressing ring. Between adjacent pressing elements occur in particular when the press loop open column.
- at least one of the gaps is at least partially covered by a protective element. In the case of a pressing loop having, for example, four or more pressing elements, it may be sufficient if only the gaps between the two first pressing elements or the end pressing element and the adjacent pressing element are covered.
- the user's palm is arranged when opening and closing the press sling.
- the gap between the other pressing elements do not necessarily have to be covered with a protective element. For safety reasons, however, it is preferred that these gaps are also at least partially covered. Furthermore, a partial covering is sufficient depending on the design of the press loops, since the occurring gaps are partially covered by other components, so that pinching is not possible.
- the pressing elements have a pressing jaw carrier which carries one or more pressing jaws.
- the pressing jaws can be held displaceably on the pressing jaw carrier.
- the pressing jaws can also be fixedly connected to the pressing jaw carrier or formed integrally therewith.
- the die jaws are hinged together to form the chain-like press loop. The articulated connection takes place here preferably via hinge pins.
- the at least one protective element is arranged on a hinge pin.
- the attachment of the protective element is preferably carried out on that hinge pin which is assigned to the gap to be covered.
- the hinge pin is arranged in the radial direction substantially at the same height as the gap.
- the connection or holding of the protective element on a hinge pin can preferably be effected in a simple manner in that the protective element has an opening through which the hinge pin is passed.
- the opening may be a part-annular opening, a part-circular or circular opening.
- the hinge pin thus protrudes through the opening of the protective element in a preferred embodiment, wherein the protective element then in a simple manner by a locking ring or the like. can be held.
- the securing ring can be used, by which the hinge pin is also fixed to form the joint.
- an anti-rotation device is also provided to ensure that twisting or displacement of the clamping protection is avoided and the clamping protection covers the gap at least partially, in particular in each opening and closing position of the press sling.
- a projection such as a pin is arranged on an outer side of the pressing jaw, which protrudes into a recess provided in particular in the inside of the protective element.
- the pin is in this case arranged offset to a possible axis of rotation of the terminal protection.
- an anti-rotation is realized in a simple manner.
- the approach may also be provided on the protective element. This then projects into a recess on the outside of the pressing jaw.
- the protective element has two recesses arranged symmetrically with respect to a gap center plane. This has particular assembly advantages.
- Such a trained protective element can cover both a left and a right side of a gap with respect to a side view of the press loop.
- the protective element is arranged in a mirrored position and preferably connected to either the left or right end. Due to the provision of two recesses, it is possible that the pin-shaped projection, which is arranged on the pressing jaw, always protrudes into one of the two recesses. Such a configuration has the advantage that the identically configured protective element can be arranged differently and not different protective elements to cover the column must be made. As a result, in particular, the assembly is simplified. Of course, it is also possible in this preferred embodiment, in turn, that the two recesses are provided on the pressing jaws and the protective element has a neck.
- the gap is optionally covered by the corresponding pressing jaw carrier or the joint connection between adjacent pressing jaw carriers.
- a gap between two adjacent press-jaw carriers is covered in a preferred embodiment by a pair of protective elements, ie a left and a right protective element.
- the protective elements of a protective element pair are thus arranged opposite one another and preferably of identical design.
- Press loops are, for example, designed such that the width of the pressing jaw carrier in side view corresponds to the width of the pressing jaws or the pressing jaws have a smaller width, wherein the pressing jaw carrier and the pressing jaws are often formed in one piece.
- the pressing jaws in the side view are not on the side before the pressing jaw carrier. The areas of the gaps to be covered between adjacent pressing jaws are thus the gaps occurring on the left and right end faces.
- the pressing jaws protrude laterally beyond the pressing jaw carriers, at least on one side.
- the press-jaw carriers thus have a smaller width in side view than the press jaws.
- protective elements are provided in such executed press slings, which additionally cover a lateral region of the gap.
- the protective elements provided for this purpose have a side element.
- the side element is preferably connected or integrally formed with a head element, wherein the head element covers the frontal region of the gap.
- the side element is in this case preferably arranged at an angle of approximately 90 ° to the head element.
- the protective element additionally has a foot element connected in particular to the side element.
- the foot element is used for connection with the hinge pin via an opening or the like
- the protective element is thus formed in side view S-shaped, wherein the head element and the foot member are each arranged substantially perpendicular to the side member and have in opposite directions.
- the side element has a substantially triangular cross section, so that a part of the side element protrudes into the lateral region of the gap.
- press loops are known in which the beads produced by the inside of the pressing jaw are arranged asymmetrically or irregularly in the longitudinal direction of a tubular element or a press fitting. Since the press fitting is preformed, it is in such irregularly arranged beads, depressions or the like. required that the press sling be placed in a correct position on the press fitting. It must be ensured that the press sling is not mirrored or rotated 180 °. This would not press the press fitting as required and lead to no required, secure press connection. In order to avoid incorrect placement of the sling on the press fitting, it is known to provide on the press sling a sheet metal element which engages in a groove on the press fitting. Only this ensures the correct arrangement of the press loop relative to the press fitting.
- the protective elements provided in such a way that it protrudes into an interior of the press sling.
- the protruding part of the protective element is introduced into the groove of the press fitting when placing the press sling on the press fitting, so that in this way an exact arrangement of the press sling is ensured relative to the press fitting.
- the at least one protective element it is possible to customize the at least one protective element.
- customer customization may be performed by providing the name on the protection element, by appropriate color design of the protection element, etc.
- This has the advantage that press loops produced for a particular customer can be customized in a simple way for this customer.
- the protective element which may be made of plastic, for example, to use for information reproduction.
- the protective element can be provided a press loop designation such as the nominal diameter, the type of press fitting, etc. This not only has the advantage that the protective element can be easily provided with such information, but also that the information is then clearly visible.
- At least one, in particular a plurality of protective elements is particularly advantageous in press slings when the individual pressing elements are spring-loaded. Especially with press loops, which close automatically by spring forces, the risk of crushing without providing protection elements according to the invention is very large.
- a holding element for a user is arranged according to the invention at the two unconnected end-pressing elements to open.
- a retaining element on each end pressing element By providing such a retaining element on each end pressing element, a secure gripping of the two end pressing element is possible for the user. This is especially true at heavy and / or spring-loaded press loops advantageous, since in particular an exact positioning of the press sling on the press fitting is possible.
- At least a part of the holding elements has a finger recess. This makes it possible in particular to arrange the thumb or forefinger in the finger recess of the corresponding holding element. This improves the handling.
- At least two holding elements are provided per end pressing element. These are arranged opposite each other in a further preferred embodiment, so that in particular in one of the holding elements of the thumb and the opposite holding element of the index finger can be arranged.
- the holding elements is rotatably connected to the pressing element. This has the advantage that when opening or closing the press sling, a rotation of the holding elements can take place and the corresponding movement is not or only to a lesser extent between the fingers of the user and the holding elements. This further improves handling and safety.
- the two opposing holding elements are connected in particular rotatably via a common bolt with the pressing element.
- the pressing elements may have pressing-jaw carriers which carry one or more pressing jaws, wherein the pressing-jaw carriers may also be formed integrally with the pressing jaws.

Description
The invention relates to a press sling for connecting in particular tubular workpieces, wherein the bonding is effected in particular by pressing.
In particular, for the production of pipe joints, it is known to use sleeve-shaped press fittings. These are inserted over the two pipe ends to be connected and plastically deformed with the aid of a pressing tool. The press fittings are usually made of metal. The inner diameter of the press fitting is chosen slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe ends to be joined, so that due to the radial compression, the inside of the press fittings is pressed to the outside of the pipe ends and a solid, in particular tight connection is made due to the permanent deformation.

For use, press loops around the components to be pressed, i. in particular be wrapped around the pipe joint and the sleeve-shaped press fitting. To avoid falling or slipping down of the press sling, press slings were developed, the individual chain-like interconnected pressing elements additionally comprise spring elements. The spring elements are arranged such that they always cause closing of the press loop around the press fitting. The opening of the press sling must therefore take place counter to the spring force. Such press slings have the significant advantage that slipping down is avoided.
The opening of the press slings is made by a user who usually moves the two end press members apart to open the press sling. When closing press loops by a user, there is a risk that the user's skin will become trapped in the gap between pressing elements or pressing jaws which reduces in width during closing. This can lead to painful bruises, especially with spring-loaded press slings.
The object of the invention is to provide a press sling in which the risk of bruising is reduced.
The solution of this object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
Another independent object of the invention is to provide a press sling whose handling is improved by the user.
The solution of this object is achieved by the features of claim 17.
A press sling for connecting in particular tubular workpieces, in particular for crimping a press fitting for connection of two pipe ends, has a plurality of press elements connected to one another in an articulated manner. The pressing elements are thus connected in a chain-like manner and form an open pressing ring. Between adjacent pressing elements occur in particular when the press loop open column. In order to avoid trapping of the skin when closing the press sling by a user, according to the invention at least one of the gaps is at least partially covered by a protective element. In the case of a pressing loop having, for example, four or more pressing elements, it may be sufficient if only the gaps between the two first pressing elements or the end pressing element and the adjacent pressing element are covered. In this area, the user's palm is arranged when opening and closing the press sling. The gap between the other pressing elements do not necessarily have to be covered with a protective element. For safety reasons, however, it is preferred that these gaps are also at least partially covered. Furthermore, a partial covering is sufficient depending on the design of the press loops, since the occurring gaps are partially covered by other components, so that pinching is not possible.
In a preferred embodiment, the pressing elements have a pressing jaw carrier which carries one or more pressing jaws. In this case, the pressing jaws can be held displaceably on the pressing jaw carrier. The pressing jaws can also be fixedly connected to the pressing jaw carrier or formed integrally therewith. Preferably, the die jaws are hinged together to form the chain-like press loop. The articulated connection takes place here preferably via hinge pins.
It is particularly preferred that the at least one protective element is arranged on a hinge pin. This has the advantage that the protective element can be fastened in a simple manner. The attachment of the protective element is preferably carried out on that hinge pin which is assigned to the gap to be covered. Usually, the hinge pin is arranged in the radial direction substantially at the same height as the gap. The connection or holding of the protective element on a hinge pin can preferably be effected in a simple manner in that the protective element has an opening through which the hinge pin is passed. In this case, the opening may be a part-annular opening, a part-circular or circular opening. The hinge pin thus protrudes through the opening of the protective element in a preferred embodiment, wherein the protective element then in a simple manner by a locking ring or the like. can be held. In this case, in particular, the securing ring can be used, by which the hinge pin is also fixed to form the joint.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, an anti-rotation device is also provided to ensure that twisting or displacement of the clamping protection is avoided and the clamping protection covers the gap at least partially, in particular in each opening and closing position of the press sling.
In a preferred embodiment, a projection such as a pin is arranged on an outer side of the pressing jaw, which protrudes into a recess provided in particular in the inside of the protective element. The pin is in this case arranged offset to a possible axis of rotation of the terminal protection. As a result, an anti-rotation is realized in a simple manner. Of course, the approach may also be provided on the protective element. This then projects into a recess on the outside of the pressing jaw. Furthermore, it is preferred that the protective element has two recesses arranged symmetrically with respect to a gap center plane. This has particular assembly advantages. Such a trained protective element can cover both a left and a right side of a gap with respect to a side view of the press loop. Here, the protective element is arranged in a mirrored position and preferably connected to either the left or right end.
Since the press loops in side view are usually formed substantially symmetrical, there are in side view respectively a right and a left part of each gap. In side view, the gap is optionally covered by the corresponding pressing jaw carrier or the joint connection between adjacent pressing jaw carriers. A gap between two adjacent press-jaw carriers is covered in a preferred embodiment by a pair of protective elements, ie a left and a right protective element. The protective elements of a protective element pair are thus arranged opposite one another and preferably of identical design.
Press loops are, for example, designed such that the width of the pressing jaw carrier in side view corresponds to the width of the pressing jaws or the pressing jaws have a smaller width, wherein the pressing jaw carrier and the pressing jaws are often formed in one piece. In this embodiment, the pressing jaws in the side view are not on the side before the pressing jaw carrier. The areas of the gaps to be covered between adjacent pressing jaws are thus the gaps occurring on the left and right end faces.
In other embodiments of press loops, the pressing jaws protrude laterally beyond the pressing jaw carriers, at least on one side. In particular, the press-jaw carriers thus have a smaller width in side view than the press jaws. The result is that in addition to the columns occurring on the front side of the gap is open in side view. Preferably, protective elements are provided in such executed press slings, which additionally cover a lateral region of the gap. Preferably, the protective elements provided for this purpose have a side element. The side element is preferably connected or integrally formed with a head element, wherein the head element covers the frontal region of the gap. The side element is in this case preferably arranged at an angle of approximately 90 ° to the head element.
In a further preferred embodiment, it is preferred that the protective element additionally has a foot element connected in particular to the side element. The foot element is used for connection with the hinge pin via an opening or the like In particular, the protective element is thus formed in side view S-shaped, wherein the head element and the foot member are each arranged substantially perpendicular to the side member and have in opposite directions.
Furthermore, it is preferred that the side element has a substantially triangular cross section, so that a part of the side element protrudes into the lateral region of the gap.
Furthermore, press loops are known in which the beads produced by the inside of the pressing jaw are arranged asymmetrically or irregularly in the longitudinal direction of a tubular element or a press fitting. According to the invention, in a particularly preferred embodiment, it is possible to design at least one of the protective elements provided in such a way that it protrudes into an interior of the press sling. The protruding part of the protective element is introduced into the groove of the press fitting when placing the press sling on the press fitting, so that in this way an exact arrangement of the press sling is ensured relative to the press fitting.
Even with symmetrically designed press slings or press fittings can provide a projecting into an interior protective element according to the invention be beneficial. As a result, the position of the press sling or press jaws in the longitudinal direction can be clearly defined relative to the press fitting.
In a further preferred embodiment, it is possible to customize the at least one protective element. In particular, customer customization may be performed by providing the name on the protection element, by appropriate color design of the protection element, etc. This has the advantage that press loops produced for a particular customer can be customized in a simple way for this customer. Furthermore, it is possible for the protective element, which may be made of plastic, for example, to use for information reproduction. For example. can be provided a press loop designation such as the nominal diameter, the type of press fitting, etc. This not only has the advantage that the protective element can be easily provided with such information, but also that the information is then clearly visible.
The provision of at least one, in particular a plurality of protective elements is particularly advantageous in press slings when the individual pressing elements are spring-loaded. Especially with press loops, which close automatically by spring forces, the risk of crushing without providing protection elements according to the invention is very large.
The solution to the further task of improving the handling of press slings takes place independently of the provision of at least one protective element. It is an independent invention, however, which can be combined with the provision of at least one protective element.
To improve the handling of press slings, a holding element for a user is arranged according to the invention at the two unconnected end-pressing elements to open. By providing such a retaining element on each end pressing element, a secure gripping of the two end pressing element is possible for the user. This is especially true at heavy and / or spring-loaded press loops advantageous, since in particular an exact positioning of the press sling on the press fitting is possible.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, at least a part of the holding elements has a finger recess. This makes it possible in particular to arrange the thumb or forefinger in the finger recess of the corresponding holding element. This improves the handling.
Furthermore, it is preferred that at least two holding elements are provided per end pressing element. These are arranged opposite each other in a further preferred embodiment, so that in particular in one of the holding elements of the thumb and the opposite holding element of the index finger can be arranged.
Furthermore, it is preferred that at least a part of the holding elements is rotatably connected to the pressing element. This has the advantage that when opening or closing the press sling, a rotation of the holding elements can take place and the corresponding movement is not or only to a lesser extent between the fingers of the user and the holding elements. This further improves handling and safety.
It is particularly preferred that the two opposing holding elements are connected in particular rotatably via a common bolt with the pressing element.
The pressing elements, as stated above, may have pressing-jaw carriers which carry one or more pressing jaws, wherein the pressing-jaw carriers may also be formed integrally with the pressing jaws. Preferably, the cheek plates are hinged together via hinge pins. Furthermore, the individual pressing elements are preferably biased by spring elements for generating a holding force.
It is particularly preferred to combine the two inventions described above in the different preferred embodiments.
The inventions will be explained in more detail below with reference to preferred embodiments.
