Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mechanical pencil whose mines are contained in a removable cartridge.
  • FR 2 493 769 A1 which describes a mechanical pencil comprising an interchangeable mine reservoir.
  • This reservoir has an end inside which has been formed an annular guide portion to which is connected a mine outlet port of the reservoir, whose free diameter is smaller than the diameter of the mines.
  • This mechanical pencil is characterized in that the advance mechanism of the mine has a nipple which is designed so that the annular guide part of the reservoir fits so that the exit orifice of the reservoir widens. mines.
  • the interlocking, by complementary shapes, of the annular guide portion formed in the material of one end of the reservoir on the nipple produces the enlargement of the mine outlet port.
  • the patent is known US 5165812 which discloses a mechanical pencil having an elongate body which is decomposed into a first portion and a second portion, said first and second portions are configured to be interconnected with a connecting means.
  • the mechanical pencil described in this patent US 5,165,812 includes a housing designed to accommodate an interchangeable mine tank. The outlet end of the reservoir mine is configured so that said reservoir remains coupled to the advance mechanism of the mine when the reservoir has been put in place in the housing of the mechanical pencil.
  • Such interchangeable mine-mine mechanical pencils thus comprise a mine reservoir which is coupled to the advance mechanism of the mine.
  • These embodiments then have the disadvantage that the advance mechanism of the mine constantly exerts efforts on the mine reservoir and may, by dint of use of the mechanical pencil, damage this reservoir.
  • the mine reservoir is movable during the advance of the mine by the advance mechanism of the mine, which, because of these stresses, tends to wear the mine reservoir.
  • the present invention proposes to solve the disadvantages detailed above by providing a mechanical pencil which, to be recharged in mines, simply requires to replace an empty mine cartridge with a full mine cartridge.
  • the innovative peculiarity of this mechanical pencil lies in the fact that the advance mechanism of the mine is decoupled from the mine cartridge. In other words, during the advance of the mine, the mine cartridge remains static in the mechanical pencil.
  • reloading mines of the mechanical pencil according to the invention eliminates any manual or individual manipulation of the mines, generally at the origin of loss or breakage thereof, as well as dirt for the user.
  • the mine cartridge that is inserted into the mechanical pencil according to the invention also has the function of storing the mines.
  • the mine cartridge is a holster for mines before they are inserted into the mechanical pencil for reloading mines.
  • the cartridge of mines is replaced as simply and quickly as one replaces an ink cartridge in a fountain pen.
  • the A mechanical pencil according to the invention is therefore practical to use. This makes it particularly suitable for use by children.
  • the cartridge will remain static during the advance of the mine.
  • the mine exits, by gravity, the cartridge through the outlet opening of the mine, then passes through the coupling element advantageously hollowed out in its central part, to be brought to the advance mechanism which will then convey the mine to the exit port of the mechanical pencil.
  • the advance mechanism of the mine is completely dissociated from the mine cartridge (or in other words the mine tank).
  • the mine cartridge or in other words the mine tank. This has the advantage that the mine cartridge remaining static is not requested during the advance of the mine by means of the advance mechanism. This protects it from the wear which could result in particular, too broaden the outlet opening of the cartridge of the mine in such a way that several mines tend to obstruct this outlet opening thus rendering unusable the mechanical pencil.
  • the connecting means consists of a means selected from the group consisting of the screwing means, the clipping means and the bayonet connection means.
  • the coupling element has a base and a frustoconical contact surface, preferably frustoconical diverging from upstream to downstream.
  • the frustoconical contact surface is configured to contact the downstream end of the cartridge when the first and second portions of the elongate body of the mechanical pencil have been interconnected with the connecting means.
  • This contact surface having a frustoconical shape is particularly suitable for enlarging the outlet opening of the mine of the cartridge.
  • the coupling element is integral with the first part of the elongated body of the mechanical pencil.
  • the coupling element is made of material with the first part of the elongate body of the mechanical pencil.
  • the element coupling may have been molded or overmoulded in said first part. This has the advantage of removing a part, as well as a step of assembly of the mechanical pencil according to the invention.
  • the elongate body has a side wall extending along the longitudinal axis.
  • an internal shoulder to define a passage section which is smaller than the cross section of the base of the coupling element.
  • This internal shoulder makes it possible to arrange the coupling element in the first part of the elongated body of the mechanical pencil.
  • the coupling element is in the form of a separate part of the rest of the mechanical pencil and may have been welded, glued or even clipped into the first part of the mechanical pencil at the level of this internal shoulder.
  • any other method of attachment of the coupling element than those mentioned above and within the reach of those skilled in the art is conceivable.
  • the coupling element may have been suitably manufactured and be made of a material particularly suitable for enlarging the outlet opening of the cartridge barrel once the first and second parts of the elongate body of the mechanical pencil have been interconnected.
  • the coupling member may comprise a more rigid material than the rest of the mechanical pencil.
  • the elongated body of the mechanical pencil is tubular.
  • the elongated body of the mechanical pencil is made of a plastic material.
  • this plastic material is selected from the group consisting of polystyrenes and polycarbonates.
  • the feed mechanism is provided with a push button, preferably a lateral push button, configured to operate the feed mechanism.
  • the slots that comprise the cartridge according to the invention has the advantage of improving the deformation, or in other words the enlargement, of the cross section of the downstream end of the cartridge, as well as that of the exit opening of the cartridge. the mine, when the coupling element is in the engagement position when the first and second parts of the elongated body of the mechanical pencil have been interconnected.
  • the cartridge outlet port is between the first section and the second section of the side wall of the downstream end of the cartridge.
  • This embodiment of the section of the side wall of the downstream end is particularly advantageous to limit the risk of breakage and loss of mines in case of inadvertent disassembly of the mechanical pencil in which is inserted the cartridge according to the invention.
  • this form of the downstream end of the cartridge is particularly suitable when the coupling element has a frustoconical contact surface diverging from upstream to downstream. Indeed, this surface comes into contact with the second section of the wall of the downstream end of the cartridge, when the first portion and the second portion of the elongate body of the mechanical pencil are interconnected, so as to enlarge the section. cross section of this second section of the side wall of the downstream end of the cartridge and the outlet port of the mine between said first section and said second section.
  • the section of the side wall of the downstream end further comprises an intermediate section of constant cross section between the first section and the second section.
  • the section of the side wall of the downstream end is made of a semi-rigid shape memory material.
  • this semi-rigid shape-memory material is selected from the group consisting of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyacetal copolymer (POM-C), polyurethanes, polyamides and polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene.
  • the outlet opening of the mine finds, thanks to the shape memory of the material, a diameter smaller than the diameter of the mine, so as to prevent the exit of mines still present in the mine. cartridge.
  • the user can easily change the cartridge of mines by replacing a mine cartridge not yet empty by another cartridge, for example by a cartridge containing mines of different hardness or color, without the risk of losing mines during this reloading of the mechanical pencil according to the invention.
  • the cartridge according to the invention is not designed for a single model of mines, but it can serve as a holster of mines of different types of mines. This is also particularly advantageous from an economic point of view.
  • the cartridge has an upstream end which is closed.
  • the upstream end of the cartridge is closed by a rubber.
  • the upstream end of the cartridge is open and can be plugged, for example by a removable cap, when the cartridge is empty, it can be considered to replenish mines in them. inserting directly through the open end end of said cartridge. In other words, the empty cartridge is reusable.
  • the cartridge has a generally cylindrical shape.
  • the cartridge is advantageously made of a plastic material.
  • the plastic material is selected from the group consisting of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyacetal copolymer (POM-C), polyurethanes, polyamides, polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene.
