Description

The invention relates to a hair styling device having a device for treating a strand of hair and at least one active substance applicator for conditioning a hair tress captured by the hair styling device, wherein the at least one active substance applicator has an active substance carrier disposed in an active substance reservoir with active substance held therein in liquid form for the purpose of application features. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for treating a strand of hair with such a hair styling device.

To aid hair styling, active ingredients are sometimes incorporated into the hair. These may assist the hair styling process or are used to condition the hair. Nursing agents are typical active ingredients that are applied with such a hair styling device. To perform the molding process hair styling devices are used, for example, so-called Straightener or curling irons. Such hair styling devices have a heated hair surface. A straightener has two such hair shaping surfaces, between which there is a hairline nipple. The hair shaping surfaces of a Straighteners are articulated in the manner of a pair of pliers against each other adjustable. For hair styling typically a certain pressure and a certain mold temperature is needed. To assist the molding process, it may be expedient to moisten the hair to be formed beforehand with an active substance or else with water, so that water is also to be understood as an active substance in the sense of these statements.

If active ingredients, that is to say, for example, care substances, are supplied to the hair in connection with a hair shaping, this customary manner takes place before the molding process to be carried out with the hair styling device. The active ingredient (s) are sprayed on the hair or, if these are foam or gel preparations, massaged into the hair. However, this means that the entire hair or part of the hair to be formed is to be treated in a first step with the active ingredient, to be subsequently molded with the hair styling device with heat. Treating the shaped hair with an active ingredient for conditioning the same after the hair-forming process, so as not to adversely affect the hair-setting, is possible only by way of a firming spray. Such an active agent spray is applied after completion of the entire hair-shaping process, that is to say after the entirety of the hair to be formed has been formed. Therefore, limited to certain strands of selective application of active ingredients after completion molding is not or at least not readily possible.

Out WO 2009/078046 A1 For example, a straightener is known which has an agent applicator parallel to the longitudinal extent of the arms supporting the mold plates. The active substance applicator is arranged in alignment with the two shaping plates enclosing the hair styling gap, so that when pulling through a strand of hair through the closed hair styling gap of this hair styling device, the hair strand is pulled over the dispensing opening of the active ingredient applicator, thereby delivering active ingredient to the hair. In this embodiment, the hair is in direct contact with the active ingredient contained in a drug carrier. The active substance contained in the drug reservoir is also heated by the heating means, with which the forming plates of the straightener are heated, in order to liquefy the active ingredient. A disadvantage of such embodiments is sometimes considered that the active ingredient can volatilize out of the drug reservoir without hair being pulled past the application opening of the drug reservoir.

Based on the above-discussed prior art, the invention is therefore based on the object to propose a hair styling device and a method for treating a strand of hair, with both an active ingredient application is sufficiently possible, however, a drug volatilization, if no hair before the application opening of the drug reservoir is reduced.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a hair styling device of the type mentioned above, in which the active substance applicator comprises an application roller rotatably mounted in the direction of movement of a hair tress grasped by the hair styling device and moved past the hair tress, the applicator roller having its mantle surface along its circumference over a portion and in the longitudinal direction substantially over its entire length at a Wirkstoffreservoirmündung with the drug reservoir located in the drug carrier and when using the hair styling device with the detected and passed hair in contact with the angular distance to the drug reservoir in contact and the Application roller is adapted to be rotated by the passing hair for the purpose of drug application to the applicator roller contacting hair.

The method-related object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 14.

des Haarformgerätes mit dem erfassten und daran vorbeigeführtem Haar in Kontakt steht und wobei die Applikationswalze von dem vorbeigeführten Haar zum Zwecke einer Wirkstoffapplikation an das die Applikationswalze kontaktierende Haar gedreht wird.the hair styling device is in contact with the hair detected and passed therethrough, and wherein the applicator roller is rotated by the hair passed by it, for the purpose of applying an active substance, to the hair contacting the applicator roller.

In this hair styling device, a delivery of active ingredient is coupled to the specific treatment of a strand of hair. This is achieved by providing an application roller, which is in contact with its peripheral surface in the circumferential direction over a portion with the active substance carrier storing the active ingredient. This means that, for the application of active ingredient to a strand of hair, the active substance must first be taken up by the outer surface of the application roller and the application roller has to be turned so far that the active substance is also supplied to the hair which also contacts the application roller at an angular distance from the active agent reservoir opening. Thus, the active ingredient applicator has an application roller as an active substance-releasing element. This is rotatably mounted in the hair styling device, typically within or immediately adjacent to the hair treatment surface. In order to wet the application roller with active substance over its entire longitudinal extension as far as possible, the contact surface between the lateral surface of the application roller and the active substance carrier extends essentially over the longitudinal extension of the application roller.

A special feature is that the application roller is only rotated as a passive element, if this is applied to a strand of hair and pulled past the application roller. Thus, drug passes from the drug reservoir to the outside of the hair styling device only when the application roller is rotated. In this way, unwanted volatilization of active ingredient, especially in heated hair styling devices, is substantially reduced, if not eliminated, as good as completely.

In the manner described above, liquid, sometimes even gel-like active ingredients can be introduced into the hair to be treated or treated with the hair styling appliance. Depending on the location of the applicator roller with respect to the hair styling surface of the hair styling device, drug application will occur before, during, or after the strand has been passed over the hair styling surface. The hair shape surface is typically at least partially heated, as this positively supports the hair-shaping process. Due to the above-described embodiments of the drug application, it is not necessary that the active ingredient in a hair styling device with a heater for heating the hair styling surfaces also heated the active ingredient. Therefore, such a drug application is especially suitable for those drugs that are to be administered at low temperatures. Furthermore, it becomes clear from the description of the invention that an application in the liquid state of the active substance to the hair moved past the application roller is particularly expedient. Is exploited in the above-described concept in a special way that in the course of heating the hair strand, the cuticle layer opens. This favors penetration of active ingredients. With successful cooling, the cuticle layer closes. Since cooling is accompanied by the passing of the heated hair on the application roller, the scales close after the absorption of the active substance, whereby the application of the active ingredient is particularly favored.

If such a hair styling device has a heating device, which is the case according to a preferred embodiment, the heat produced by the heating device can be used to liquefy an active substance, which has a gel or solid state at normal ambient temperature, by the operation of the heating device to be able to apply this then when using the hair styling device. According to another embodiment, it is provided that an active substance which is also liquid at a bypass temperature is stored in a cartridge in the active substance reservoir. Such a cartridge is typically made of an absorbent material such as a sponge or felt soaked in the active ingredient. In such an embodiment, the application roller is in contact with this, the drug-absorbing cartridge body. The capillary forces acting in such a cartridge body ensure that the active substance in the contact area between the cartridge body and the application roller is refilled after the active substance has been transported away through the lateral surface of the application roller. In heated hair styling devices, the heat contained in the hair passing past the applicator roll can promote the absorption of active ingredient. Typically, by the heat reduced the viscosity of the drug. In addition, capillary forces act between the hairs, which, when guided over the application roller, support the absorption of active substance and thus a transfer of the active substance from the jacket surface of the application roller into the hair. Thus, in this concept, an effective transfer of active substance from the lateral surface of the application roller into the hair is skillfully provided. This also makes it possible for even small amounts of active substance to be absorbed uniformly over the strand of hair of the application roller guided over it, via the lateral surface of the application roller.

In this hair styling appliance, the lateral surface of the application roller serves to transport active ingredient obtained in a drug reservoir to the hair to be treated. Depending on the surface structure of the application roller, the amount of active substance supplied to the hair can be metered. If a larger amount of active substance is to be applied, the outer surface of the application roller will be structured enlarged in surface area. This can already be provided by a material-related roughness or by introducing arranged typically in the manner of a raters cup-shaped depressions. Instead of such recesses, such an application roller may also comprise annular or preferably spiral-shaped Wirkstoffapplikationsnuten. For better dosing of active substance, it is expedient if scrapers act on the lateral surface of the application roller adjacent to the active substance reservoir. If the application roller with its lateral surface is in contact with a drug carrier of an active ingredient cartridge, this takes over the action of a scraper. Nevertheless, one or more additional scrapers can also be provided in such a design.

Due to the wetting of the lateral surface of the application roller when using the hair styling device with active ingredient this can also serve as a lubricant, so that the storage of the application roller can be designed very simple. This can be stored for example in a tubular channel. Typically, the applicator roll is releasably provided by the other components of the hair styling device so that it can be removed and cleaned, as well as the drug reservoir and the other in contact with the drug Areas of the hair styling device.

By the application of active ingredient, as described above, a desired to preserve the hair cooling effect, if they have been treated under the influence of temperature by the hair styling device.

Typically, the hair treatment surface of such a hair styling device is convexly curved. This allows a particularly good integration of the drug applicator or its application roller in the hair surface. By taking advantage of the cooling effect, a hair-shaping surface section situated in the treatment direction in front of the application roller and also a hair-shaping surface section located behind it can be heated, without it being feared that the hair will be excessively heated. By taking advantage of this effect, the hair treatment surface can be heated to a higher temperature without overstraining the hair, even with prior art devices. By passing the heated strand of hair to the drug applicator leads to immediate cooling.

Typically, such a hair styling device will be designed in the manner of a brush that can be used on both sides. As a result, one will preferably equip such a hair styling device with two or more application rollers. These may, according to a first embodiment, be in contact with the active ingredient of a common drug reservoir. Thus, in such a configuration, the same active ingredient is applied over both application rollers. In another embodiment, it is provided that each application roller is assigned its own active substance reservoir. Then different active ingredients can be applied via both application rollers. The latter embodiment is useful, for example, in an embodiment in which an application roller in hair treatment direction in front of the hair shape surface and another of these are arranged downstream in the direction of movement. Then, the hair to be formed, before it comes in contact with the typically heated hair shape surface, be treated with a first active ingredient and after hair styling with another active ingredient.

To a hair strand to be treated with a certain contact pressure To guide over the lateral surface of such an application roller of a drug applicator, it is useful if bristle rows are arranged on at least one, preferably on both longitudinal sides of such an application roller. These bristles typically have a head thickening, preferably via a head thickening forming an undercut, so that hairs located between two bristles are trapped therein.

Further advantages and embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment with reference to the accompanying figures. Show it:

The hair styling device 1 has a handle 2 as a handle, on which a shaft-shaped executed hair treatment part 3 is arranged. The in FIG. 1 shown cross section is located in the region of the hair treatment part 3. The hair treatment part 3 of the illustrated embodiment shows an elliptical cross-sectional area, the outer surface 4 serves as a hair treatment surface. Due to its convex configuration of the hair treatment surfaces 4, the hair styling device 1 is used for shaping waves or curls. Integrated in the lateral surface 4 of the hair treatment part 3 are comb-like executed bristle rows 5, the orientation of the longitudinal extension of the hair treatment part 3 follows. The individual bristles 6 of the rows of bristles 5 have a head thickening 7. The head thickening 7 is, as is clear from the enlargement of section, designed asymmetrically, namely to form a hook-shaped undercut 8. The orientation of the head thickening 7 is provided in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the hair treatment part. The viewing direction of the bristles 6 in the detail enlargement shown is rotated by 90 degrees with respect to the viewing direction of the cross section. As a result of this conception of the bristles 6, between each two bristles 6 a hair-receiving chamber 8 is formed, in which the hair located therein is caught in a certain way. This allows to press between the bristles 6 trapped hair with a corresponding rotational movement of the hair styling device 1 with a certain contact pressure on the hair treatment surface in the lateral surface 4 of the hair treatment part and thus to pull the hair to be formed on the convex surface of the hair treatment part.

The main body 9 of the hair treatment part 3 is made in the illustrated embodiment of an aluminum material. This is known to conduct heat well. The lateral surface 4 of the hair treatment part 3 is heated. For this purpose, 9 heating elements are arranged at a suitable location on the base body. In the illustrated embodiment, PTC heating elements 10, 10.1 are attached to the base body 9. In the embodiment shown in the figure PTC heating elements are provided as heating elements. It is understood that instead of such heating elements, other heating elements can be used, such as resistance heating elements, either in wire form or as a printed circuit. Also, heating of the main body or its hair surface is not bound to the use of multiple heating elements. Depending on the configuration, a heating element or even more than two may be provided.

For operation of the PTC heating elements 10, 10.1 or other heating elements, the hair styling device 1 may have a mains connection. Likewise, it is possible to design the hair styling device cordless, for example, equip it with a battery or a rechargeable battery through which or through which the necessary for the operation of the heating elements or energy is provided.

The hair styling device 1 further has two Wirkstoffapplikatoren 11, 11.1. Next, the drug applicator 11 will be described. These statements apply equally to the drug applicator 11.1, which is constructed identical to the drug applicator 11. The agent applicator 11 has an integrated into the lateral surface 4 and in the base body 9 of the hair treatment part 3 rotatably mounted application roller 12. The application roller 12 consists in the illustrated embodiment of a core 13 with a made of an elastic material jacket 14, for example silicone or rubber , The application roller 12 is without tools from its in FIG. 1 shown and recorded in the base body 9 use position removable. For example, at the opposite end of the handle 2 of the hair treatment part 3, a cap can be attached, by which the application roller 12 is held in its tubular receptacle in the base body 9. After removal of the cap, this can be pulled out by a translational movement of its inclusion in the body 9. The active substance applicator 11 further includes an active substance reservoir 15 formed by the main body 9 in this exemplary embodiment. This contains an active substance cartridge 16. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the cartridge 16 consists of a U-shaped tension-resistant and rigid support 17 a drug carrier 18 is held therein held in liquid form drug. This may be felt impregnated with an active substance, for example. The drug cartridge 16 is adjacent to the free end of the drug carrier 18 to the lateral surface 19 of the application roller 12. In this respect, the drug carrier 18 in the illustrated embodiment, not only for wetting the lateral surface 19 of the application roller 12 with active ingredient, but at the same time as a scraper to overdose to avoid. The drug cartridge 1 carries at its one free end a tab-shaped handle, with which this can be inserted into the drug reservoir 15 and taken out of this in turn. A cap which closes off the base body 9 at the end can likewise serve to hold the active substance cartridge 16 within the respective active substance reservoir 15.

Such a drug cartridge may carry a coding which can be recognized by the hair styling device with provision of suitable means. In this way, a cartridge on the device side can be recognized by their coding. The coding can give information about the content of the same, namely the active substance contained therein. This in turn can be displayed on a display of the hair styling device. For coding optical systems can be used. However, a coding can also be done on the basis of different contours on the cartridge and / or by different lengths thereof.

The application roller 12 carries as an extension of its core 13 two bearing extension 20, 20.1 (see FIG. 2 ). The bearing extensions 20, 20.1 serve to support the application roller 12 in or on the base body 9. The bearing extension 20 engages the handle side in a corresponding bearing bush 21 of the base body 9 a. To hold the application roller 12 within the undercut of the base body 9 in this respect, a closure body 22 is used, which closes the end-side mouth of the application roller 12 receiving channel. In the illustrated embodiment, the closure body 22 is inserted end into the channel and clamped therein held. The closure body 22 may have a handle (not shown), so that it can be readily removed and mounted vice versa. This facilitates the possibilities of removal and cleaning of the application roller 12 and of the application roller 12 laying channel within the body 9. The bearing extension 20.1 engages in a corresponding bearing bush 21.1 of the closure body 20 a. Out FIG. 2 is dashed, since behind the application roller 12 located, the opening of the drug reservoir 15 to the application roller 12 out to recognize. The mouth of the drug reservoir 15 extends substantially over the entire longitudinal extent of the application roller 12 also as the drug carrier 18 passing through the mouth, on which the application roller 12 with its lateral surface, as from FIG. 1 recognizable, rests. The above statements on the formation and storage of the application roller 12 apply equally to the application roller of the drug applicator 11.1.

When using the hair styling device 1, a hair tress pulled over the lateral surface 4 of the hair treatment part 3 serving as a hair treatment surface is also brought into contact with a region of the application roller 12. The hair tress captured by the bristle rows 5 is then pulled over the application roller 12 with a certain contact pressure. Since the application roller 12 with her Projecting lateral surface 19 over the curved lateral surface 4 of the hair treatment part 3, the strand of hair detected with the bristle rows 5 with a certain bias on the lateral surface 19 of the application roller 12 and offset in a relative movement between the hair treatment part 3 of the hair styling device 1 and the hair strand the application roller 12th in a rotary motion. As a result of the rotational movement, the wetted with active surface jacket surface 19 is brought into contact with the hair, which receives the active ingredient. In this way, a particularly effective hair strands selective drug application for conditioning hair possible.

FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a hair styling device 1.1, which is constructed in principle as described in the preceding figures hair styling device 1. Therefore, the comments on the hair styling device 1 apply equally to the hair styling device 1.1 of FIG. 3 , The hair styling device 1.1 differs from the hair styling device 1 with regard to its mode of action in that the two active substance applicators 11.2, 11.3 are assigned a common active substance reservoir 15.1 with an active substance carrier 18.1 inserted therein. In the illustrated embodiment, the drug reservoir 15.1 is made approximately cylindrical. The drug carrier 1 used therein is in contact with the lateral surfaces of both application rollers 12.1, 12.2. In order to obtain a larger contact area between the drug carrier 18.1 and the lateral surface of the respective application roller 12.1, 12.2, 1 corresponding concave recesses are introduced on the diametrically opposite sides of the drug carrier. As a result, at the same time a rotational blocking of the drug carrier 18.1 is provided within the drug reservoir. Quite possible, it is also the drug carrier 18.1 cylindrical form, with the in FIG. 3 deepen recognizable concave and therein by a certain compression of the drug carrier 18.1 between the two application rollers 12.1, 12.2 results. The drug carrier 18.1 is also designed as a cartridge. In order for the active substance carrier 18, 18.1, which stores the active substance in liquid form, to be deformed without being deformed, at least largely without being deformable, it can be pushed into the active substance reservoir 15.1, as carrier 17.1, a mandrel 18.1 is provided in the longitudinal direction. At the end of the mandrel, a handle is formed.

The invention can also be implemented by a hair styling device, in which the active substance carrier adjacent to an application roller is rotatably received in the active substance reservoir. With the rotation of the application roller and the drug carrier is also rotated, so that successively reaches the lateral surface of the application roller with previously not contacted lateral surface areas of the Pfleffoffträgers. As a result, not only the frictional forces between the application roller and care carrier are reduced, but from the surface of the application roller of the immediately adjacent to the lateral surface of the drug carrier active ingredient is added. In the course of the rotational movement of the drug carrier sufficient time remains that is transported by the capillary forces new drug to the lateral surface of the drug carrier before it again comes into contact with the lateral surface of the application roller.

The invention has been described with reference to an embodiment. It is understood that the invention can also be realized by other embodiments. These too are part of the disclosure content of these documents, even without these having to be explicitly described.
