Das Haarbehandlungsmittel wird durch die Einwirkdauer, die Durchziehgeschwindigkeit, die Sättigung der Haare und / oder die erzeugte Dampfmenge dosiert. Das Haarbehandlungsmittel kann ein Proteinderivat, beispielsweise ein Proteinhydrolysat und/oder ein Polyvinylpyrrolydon und/oder Panthenol und/oder Glucose und/oder jegliche Mischungen, insbesonder eine Mischung aus den zuerst genannten drei Substanzen davon, enthalten. Das Haarbehandlungsmittel ist in das Kissen 11 eingetrocknet. Zu diesem Zweck wird eine Lösung des Haarbehandlungsmittels in Ethanol und Wasser (pH 3,5 - 5) auf das Kissen 11 aufgebracht. Dann wird das Kissen 11 bei einer Temperatur von etwa 60 Grad getrocknet. Das Haarbehandlungsmittel ist dann in einer getrockneten Form in dem Kissen 11 gespeichert. Das Gerät 1 ist also derart ausgebildet, daß ein in trockener Form vorliegendes/gespeichertes Haarbehandlungsmittel durch den erzeugten Dampf aktiviert bzw. gelöst und in Kombination mit dem Dampf auf das Haar aufgebracht wird. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß auf diese Weise eine sehr effektive Applizierung von Haarbehandlungsmitteln, insbesondere Haarschutzmitteln möglich ist.The above process can be repeated any number of times. Anstelle der vorgeschlagenen Einrichtung zur Dampferzeugung kann auch eine solche verwendet werden, nit der ionisierter Dampf entsteht. In dem Kissen 11 können membranartige Materialien enthalten sein, mit denen eine verzögerte Abgabe des darin enthaltenen Haarbehandlungsmittels möglich ist. Die Verzögerung kann dabei insbesondere von der Dampfmenge oder der Temperatur abhängig sein, auf die das Kissen 11 durch den Dampf aufgeheizt wird. Zusätzlich ist es möglich, daß auch die Schnittfläche 4 des Arms 2 mit einem Kissen, insbesondere mit einer Filzlage versehen ist, durch die der erzeugte Dampf hindurchtritt, wobei an den Mantelflächen 6,7 u.U. Öffnungen für den Dampfaustritt ausgebildet sind.. Gerät (1) zum Behandeln von Haaren mit zwei länglichen, zueinander beweglichen Armen (2, 3), zwischen die die Haare in einem geöffneten Zustand einlegbar und in einem geschlossenen Zustand durchziehbar sind, sowie mit einer Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen von Dampf, der zwischen die beiden Arme (2, 3) einbringbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Einrichtung vorgesehen ist, mit der ein Haarbehandlungsmittel durch den erzeugten Dampf zwischen die beiden Arme (2, 3) einbringbar ist.1.
