Abstract

An electric hair profiler has two arms linked by a hinge and with a heating element at the free end of each arm. The heating elements are plates shaped into the required profile for the hair. Flat plates are used to straighten the hair. The surface of one or both plates has a fine structure of ridges and grooves in a mesh formation to reduce the surface contact with the hair. This allows the profiler to be slid along hair tresses without undue pulling.

Claims (14)

1. Haarformer zum Umformen, insbesondere zum Glätten von Haaren, umfassend eine Zange, gebildet aus zwei gelenkig mitein­ ander verbundenen Armen (2, 3) mit jeweils einer beheizbaren Wärmeplatte (5, 6), deren zueinander weisende Oberflächen eine der vorgesehenen Formgebung der Haare entsprechende Topo­ graphie aufweisen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die zur Haarumformung dienende Oberfläche zumindest einer der beiden Wärmeplatten (5, 6) eine die zur Haarumformung vorgesehene To­ pographieoberfläche überprägende, die durch die Topographie zu erzielende Haarumformung grundsätzlich unbeeinflussende Fein­ strukturierung (11), gebildet durch eine Wechselfolge von Hoch- und Tiefbereichen, aufweist.1.
