Abstract

The hair shaping tongs has a pair of arms (3,4) carrying electrically heated plates (6,7) to shape the hair and having profiled surfaces on the plates. The plates are heated by hot air with power supplied from a source in the handle (2). The hot air leaves the tongs through an exit opening in the grip. The arms have multiple air flow channels to the hot plates.

Claims (14)

1. Haarformer zum Umformen von Haaren, umfassend eine Zange, gebildet aus zwei gelenkig miteinander verbundenen Armen (3, 4) mit jeweils einer beheizbaren Wärmeplatte (6, 7), deren zueinander weisende Oberflächen eine der vorgesehenen Formgebung der Haare entsprechende Topographie aufweisen, dadurch gekenn­ zeichnet, daß die Wärmeplatten (6, 7) warmluftbeheizt sind und der Haarformer aus einem Griffteil mit den notwendigen elektri­ schen Aggregaten zum Bereitstellen des zum Erwärmen der Wär­ meplatten benötigten warmen Luftstroms, der bei einem Betrieb der elektrischen Aggregate aus einer Austrittsöffnung des Griffteils her­ austritt, und aus einer als Haarformaufsatz (1) ausgebildeten der Zange mit den warmluftbeheizten Wärmeplatten (6, 7) besteht, die mittels eines die den aus der Austrittsöffnung des Griffstückes aus­ tretenden Luftstrom aufnehmenden Kupplungsstück (2) mit dem Griffstück verbindbar ist und in deren Armen (3, 4) jeweils ein oder mehrere Strömungskanäle (5) ausgebildet sind, in denen die in die Arme (3, 4) über das Kupplungsstück (2) eintretende Warmluft zum Beheizen der Wärmeplatten (6, 7) geführt ist.1.
