Radarsensor
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Radarsensor. Insbesondere betrifft die Erfindung einen Radarsensor zur Entfernungsmessung an Bord eines Kraftfahrzeugs.
Stand der Technik
An Bord eines Kraftfahrzeugs kann ein Radarsensor verwendet werden, um einen Abstand zu einem umliegenden Objekt zu bestimmen. Auf der Basis des bestimmten Abstands können unterschiedliche Komfortfunktionen des Kraftfahrzeugs gesteuert werden. Beispielsweise kann eine Geschwindigkeit des Kraftfahrzeugs automatisch auf einen vorbestimmten Wert gesteuert werden, wobei über eine Abstandsmessung nach vorne mittels des Radarsensors sichergestellt wird, dass ein vorbestimmter Sicherheitsabstand zu einem vorausfahrenden Kraftfahrzeug nicht unterschritten wird. Andere Anwendungen eines Radarsensors umfassen eine Notbremsfunktion bei rascher Annäherung an einen Gegenstand, einen Abstandswarner, um es einem Fahrer des Kraftfahrzeugs zu erleichtern, einen erforderlichen Sicherheitsabstand zu einem vorausfahrenden Kraftfahrzeug einzuhalten, oder eine Einparkhilfe zur Kollisionswarnung im Nahbereich bei einer geringen Fahrgeschwindigkeit.
Derartige Radarsensoren sind üblicherweise als integriertes Modul ausgeführt, wobei das Modul bereits ausgewertete oder teilweise ausgewertete Abstandsoder Annäherungssignale an einer elektrischen Schnittstelle zur Verfügung stellt. Alle Komponenten, die zum Aussenden, Empfangen und Korrelieren von Radarsignalen erforderlich sind, sind von dem Modul umfasst.
Ein solcher Radarsensor umfasst üblicherweise eine Radarantenne, eine Hochfrequenzschaltung zur Ansteuerung der Radarantenne und eine Radarlinse zur
Fokussierung der von der Radarantenne ausgesandten bzw. in sie einfallenden Radarstrahlung. Um es zu vermeiden, dass hochfrequente Strahlung der Radarantenne die Hochfrequenzschaltung oder hochfrequente Strahlung der Hochfrequenzschaltung die Radarantenne in ihrer Funktion beeinträchtigt, ist es bekannt, eine Metallblende oder einen Metallkäfig vorzusehen, der eine Aussparung um- fasst, durch welche die Radarantenne Radarstrahlung aussendet oder empfängt, um die Radarantenne von der Hochfrequenzschaltung abzuschirmen. Dadurch kann elektromagnetische Strahlung und insbesondere die hochfrequente Radarstrahlung zwar abgeschirmt werden, so dass die Hochfrequenzschaltung und die Radarantenne einander nicht beeinflussen, jedoch kann dabei auch die Radarantenne in ihrer Leistungsfähigkeit bzw. Charakteristik beeinträchtigt werden.
Es ist Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, eine Streustrahlung im Bereich einer Radarantenne eines Radarsensors zu unterdrücken.
Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe mittels eines Radarsensors mit den Merkmalen des unabhängigen Anspruchs. Unteransprüche geben bevorzugte Ausführungsformen wieder.
Offenbarung der Erfindung
Ein erfindungsgemäßer Radarsensor umfasst eine Radarantenne, eine Radarlinse und ein Trichterelement zwischen der Radarantenne und der Radarlinse. Dabei umfasst das Trichterelement ein Material, das von der Radarantenne ausgesandte Radarstrahlung absorbiert.
Dadurch kann auf den Einsatz einer abschirmenden Metallfläche verzichtet werden, welche Radarstrahlung und andere elektromagnetische Strahlung reflektieren kann. Eine Richtungscharakteristik der Radarantenne kann durch das absorbierende Material unbeeinflusst sein. Dadurch kann eine verbesserte Operation des Radarsensors erzielbar sein. Darüber hinaus kann es einfacher sein, eine Geometrie des Radarsensors, insbesondere der Radarlinse, an eine Abstrahlcharakteristik der Radarantenne anzupassen. Hierdurch kann die Abstrahlcharakteristik des Radarsensors besser kontrollierbar sein und es können Entwick- lungs- und Produktionskosten eingespart werden.
Das Trichterelement ist mit seiner engen Seite der Radarantenne und mit seiner weiten Seite der Radarlinse zugewandt. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform liegt das Trichterelement an der Radaralinse an. Dadurch kann sichergestellt sein, dass die von der Radarantenne ausgesandte Radarstrahlung auf einen ge- ometrischen Bereich der Radarlinse fällt, der zur Fokussierung der Radarstrahlung ausgebildet ist. Eine Verzerrung der Radarstrahlung, insbesondere in einem radial außen liegenden Randbereich der Radarlinse, kann dadurch verringert sein. Im radial außen liegenden Bereich der Radarlinse kann insbesondere ein Linsenrand liegen, der zur Fokussierung der Radarstrahlung nicht beiträgt, wobei das Trichterelement dazu eingerichtet ist, den Linsenrand von Radarstrahlung der Radarantenne durch Absorption abzuschirmen. Der Linsenrand kann aus konstruktiven Gründen unverzichtbar sein. Insbesondere kann der Linsenrand zur Verbindung der Radarlinse mit einem Gehäuse dienen, um den Radarsensor gegen Umwelteinflüsse zu kapseln. Der wesentliche mechanische Aufbau eines bekannten Radarsensors kann somit beibehalten werden, ohne dass eine Verzerrung der Radarstrahlung im Bereich des Linsenrands auftritt. In einer Ausführungsform umfasst das Trichterelement einen zylindrischen Abschnitt im Bereich der Radarlinse. Der zylindrische Abschnitt kann dazu beitragen, den Linsenrand besser von Radarstrahlung aus der Radarantenne abzuschirmen. In einer weiteren Ausführungsform umfasst das Trichterelement im Bereich der
Radarantenne einen radial nach innen weisenden Kragen. Der Kragen kann dazu beitragen, bezüglich einer Hauptausbreitungsrichtung der Radarstrahlung radial verlaufende elektromagnetische Strahlung verbessert zu unterdrücken. Insbesondere dann, wenn die Radarantenne auf einem ebenen Bauteil wie einer Platine angebracht ist, kann der Kragen Oberflächenwellen, die entlang der
Oberfläche des Bauteils verlaufen, unterdrücken. Ferner kann der Kragen einer mechanischen Verbindung der Radarlinse mit der Radarantenne bzw. einem ebenen Element, auf dem die Radarantenne angebracht oder ausgebildet ist, dienen. Eine Anpresskraft des Trichterelements kann durch den Kragen auf ei- nen größeren Bereich verteilt sein. Ein mechanischer Aufbau eines modulhaft gekapselten Radarsensors kann dadurch erleichtert bzw. verbessert sein.
Die Radarantenne kann zusammen mit weiteren Hochfrequenzkomponenten auf einem ebenen Schaltungsträger, insbesondere einer Platine, angeordnet sein. Dadurch können die Radarantenne und die elektronischen Hochfrequenzkomponenten auf dem Schaltungsträger integriert ausgeführt sein, wodurch Platz, Gewicht und Herstellungskosten des Radarsensors reduziert sein können. Durch das Trichterelement kann trotzdem eine gegenseitige Beeinflussung der Radarantenne und der Hochfrequenzkomponenten wirksam unterdrückt sein.
Das Trichterelement kann ein Befestigungselement zur Anbringung an der Radarantenne aufweisen, so dass die Radarlinse mit dem Trichterelement eine separat handhabbare Einheit bilden kann. Eine Montage des Radarsensors kann dadurch vereinfacht sein.
Das Trichterelement kann aus einem Radarstrahlung absorbierenden Kunststoff hergestellt sein. Dazu kann der Kunststoff vorbestimmte dielektrische Eigenschaften aufweisen und es können resistive und/oder magnetische Substanzen zur Umwandlung von Radarstrahlung in Wärme dem Kunststoff beigemischt sein. Hierdurch kann eine effiziente Absorption der Radarstrahlung gelingen.
In einer Ausführungsform ist das Material des Trichterelements porös. Reflektion und Refraktion von Radarstrahlung an Porengrenzen können dazu beitragen, die Absorptionsfähigkeit des Trichterelements zu steigern.
Die Erfindung wird nun mit Bezug auf die beigefügten Figuren genauer beschrieben, in denen:
Figur 1 einen Radarsensor;
Figur 2 einen Schnitt durch ein Material des Trichterelements aus Figur 1 ;
und
Figur 3 einen Schnitt durch ein alternatives Material analog zu Figur 2 darstellt.
Genaue Beschreibung von Ausführungsbeispielen
Figur 1 zeigt einen Radarsensor 100. Der Radarsensor 100 ist insbesondere zum Einsatz an Bord eines Kraftfahrzeugs eingerichtet. Bevorzugerweise ist der Radarsensor 100 ein Weitbereichs-Radarsensor (LRR:„long ränge radar") zur Bestimmung einer Entfernung und ggf. einer Geschwindigkeit eines bis zu mehrere 100 m entfernten Objekts. Dir vom Radarsensor 100 ausgesandte Radarstrahlung liegt bevorzugt im Bereich von ca. 24 oder 77 GHz.
Der Radarsensor 100 umfasst eine Bodenplatte 105 und eine Radarlinse 1 15, die ein Gehäuse 1 10 an einander entgegen gesetzten Enden abschließen. In anderen Ausführungsformen können die Komponenten des Radarsensors 100 auch auf andere Weise als durch das Gehäuse 1 10 und die Bodenplatte 105 vor Umwelteinflüssen geschützt sein. Die Radarlinse 1 15 weist einen radial außen liegenden Linsenrand 120 auf, der an dem Gehäuse 1 10 befestigt werden kann. Ferner umfasst der Radarsensor einen Schaltungsträger bzw. eine Platine 125, auf dem eine Radarantenne 130 und eine Hochfrequenzschaltung 135 angeordnet sind. Die Radarantenne 130 kann auf der Platine 125 in Form einer gedruckten Schaltung ausgebildet sein. Zwischen der Platine 125 und der Radarlinse 1 15 erstreckt sich ein Trichterelement 140, dessen enge Seite der Radarantenne 130 und dessen weite Seite der Radarlinse 1 15 zugewandt ist. Im Bereich der Radarlinse 1 15 ist am Trichterelement 140 ein Befestigungselement 145 zur Befestigung an der Radarlinse 1 15 ausgebildet.
An der Bodenplatte 105 ist optional eine Schnittstelle 150 angebracht, um elektrische Signale bezüglich eines Messergebnisses des Radarsensors 100 nach außen bereitzustellen und zum Anschluss an eine Stromversorgung. Die Schnittstelle 150 kann mit weiteren elektronischen Bauelementen im Radarsensor 100 verbunden sein, auf die vorliegend nicht näher eingegangen wird.
Die Hochfrequenzschaltung 135 auf der Platine 125 hält vorzugsweise einen vorbestimmten radialen Abstand zur Radarantenne 130, um ein Aufsetzen des Trichterelements 140 auf der Platine 125 in diesem Bereich zu ermöglichen. Das Trichterelement 140 liegt mit seiner engen Seite im Bereich der Radarantenne 130 und steht vorzugsweise mit der Platine 125 im Eingriff. Die weite Seite des
Trichterelements 140 liegt im Bereich der Radarlinse 1 15 und liegt vorzugsweise axial an der Radarlinse 1 15 an, so dass das Trichterelement 140 in axialer Richtung zwischen der Radarlinse 1 15 und der Platine 125 fixiert ist.
Die Radarlinse 1 15 ist auf der dem Trichterelement 140 zugewandten Seite vorzugsweise eben. Eine lichte Weite des Trichterelements 140 an der Radarlinse 1 15 ist vorzugsweise so bemessen, dass ein radial innerhalb des Linsenrands 120 liegender Bereich der Radarlinse 1 15, der für die Fokussierung von austretender oder eintretender Radarstrahlung relevant ist, an den durch das Trichterelement 140 gebildeten Hohlraum angrenzt.
Vorzugsweise ist am Trichterelement 140 im Bereich der Radarlinse 1 15 ein zylindrischer Abschnitt 155 ausgebildet. Der zylindrische Abschnitt 155 kann es Radarstrahlung, die aus der Radarantenne 130 austritt, erschweren, den Linsenrand 120 zu erreichen, wo schwer kontrollierbare Reflektionen und eine Verzerrung von Radarstrahlung auftreten können.
An seiner engen, der Radarantenne 130 zugewandten Seite weist das Trichterelement 140 vorzugsweise einen sich radial nach innen erstreckenden Kragen 160 auf. Dadurch kann eine Auflagefläche des Trichterelements 140 an der Platine 125 vergrößert sein. Oberflächenwellen zwischen der Radarantenne 130 und der Hochfrequenzschaltung 135 können dadurch wirksam gedämpft werden.
Im Bereich des zylindrischen Abschnitts 155 kann ein Befestigungselement 145 am Trichterelement 140 ausgebildet sein, um das Trichterelement 140 an der Radarlinse 1 15 befestigen zu können. Dadurch kann eine separat handhabbare Einheit entstehen, die eine Montage des Radarsensors 100 erleichtert. In der vorliegenden Ausführungsform kann beispielsweise die Platine 125 im Gehäuse 1 10 angeordnet werden, bevor die Radarlinse 1 15 zusammen mit dem Trichterelement 140 von oben auf das Gehäuse 1 10 aufgesetzt wird, wodurch das Gehäuse 1 10 axial oben verschlossen und die Platine 125 optional an eine Haltestruktur des Gehäuses 1 10 axial angepresst wird. Vor oder nach der Montage der Radarlinse 1 15 und des Trichterelements 140 kann die Bodenplatte 105 auf der Unterseite des Gehäuses 1 10 angebracht werden.
Das Trichterelement 140 ist aus einem Material gefertigt, dessen Eigenschaften und Struktur eine Absorption von Radarstrahlung begünstigen. Sowohl das Material als auch die Struktur sind bevorzugterweise auf eine Wellenlänge von Radarstrahlung hin optimiert, die in einem Normalbetrieb durch die Radarantenne 130 in Figur 1 nach oben ausgestrahlt wird.
Das Trichterelement 140 ist in erster Linie dazu eingerichtet, die von der Radarantenne 130 ausgehende Strahlung von Elementen fernzuhalten, die entweder durch Radarstrahlung gestört werden können, insbesondere die Hochfrequenzschaltung 135, oder die durch ihre refraktiven Eigenschaften eine Messung mittels der Radarstrahlung stören können, wie beispielsweise der Linsenrand 120. In zweiter Linie ist das Trichterelement 140 auch dazu eingerichtet, Hochfrequenzstrahlung, die weder von der Radarantenne 130 erzeugt ist, noch durch die Radarlinse 1 15 in den Radarsensor 100 eingetreten ist, von der Radarantenne 130 fernzuhalten. Derartige Strahlung kann beispielsweise in Form einer Grundoder Oberwellenfrequenz durch die Hochfrequenzschaltung 135 erzeugt sein.
Figur 2 zeigt einen Schnitt durch ein Material des Trichterelements 140 aus Figur 1 . Das Trichterelement 140 ist vorzugsweise aus einem Kunststoff hergestellt. Der Kunststoff des Trichterelements 140 hat vorzugsweise halbleitende Eigenschaften, d. h. seine Leitfähigkeit liegt zwischen denen eines Leiters und eines Isolators, insbesondere im Bereich zwischen 103 und 10"8 S/cm. Dadurch kann ein Teil von Radarstrahlung, der das Trichterelement 140 ausgesetzt ist, innerhalb des Materials in Wärme umgewandelt werden, wodurch die Radarstrahlung effektiv absorbiert wird.
In der in Figur 2 dargestellten, bevorzugten Ausführungsform ist das Material des Trichterelements 140 darüber hinaus durchsetzt mit metallisierten Kugeln oder Metallkugeln 205 eines vorbestimmten Durchmessers, der insbesondere in Ab- hängigkeit einer Wellenlänge der Radarstrahlung gewählt sein kann. In bekannter Weise können die Metallkugeln 205 die Absorptionseigenschaften des Trichterelements 140 verbessern. In einer Variante der dargestellten Ausführungsform können die Metallkugeln 205 auch auf einer inneren oder äußeren Oberfläche des Trichterelements 105 aufgebracht sein, beispielsweise mittels eines entspre- chenden Farbanstrichs.
Figur 3 zeigt einen Schnitt durch ein alternatives Material des Trichterelements 140 analog zu der Darstellung von Figur 2. Die dargestellte Ausführungsform ist mit der Ausführungsform von Figur 2 kombinierbar. Das Material des Trichterelements 140 ist von Poren 210 durchsetzt, deren Größenbereich
bevorzugterweise an eine Wellenlänge der durch die Radarantenne 130 ausgesandten Radarstrahlung angepasst ist. Durchdringt Radarstrahlung das Material des Trichterelements 140, so wird es an Grenzen der Poren 210 teilweise reflektiert, wodurch sich Interferenzeffekte bilden können, die die Absorption der Radarstrahlung steigern.
Claims
1 . Radarsensor (100), umfassend:
- eine Radarantenne (130);
- eine Radarlinse (1 15);
- ein Trichterelement (140) zwischen der Radarantenne (130) und der Radarlinse (1 15)
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
- das Trichterelement (140) ein Material umfasst, das von der Radarantenne (130) ausgesandte Radarstrahlung absorbiert.
2. Radarsensor (100) nach Anspruch 1 , wobei das Trichterelement (140) an der Radarlinse (1 15) anliegt.
3. Radarsensor (100) nach Anspruch 2, wobei ein radial außen liegender Lin- senrand (120) der Radarlinse (1 15) zur Fokussierung nicht beiträgt und das
Trichterelement (140) dazu eingerichtet ist, den Linsenrand (120) von Radarstrahlung der Radarantenne (130) durch Absorption abzuschirmen.
4. Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Trichterelement (140) einen zylindrischen Abschnitt (155) im Bereich der
Radarlinse (1 15) aufweist.
5. Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Trichterelement (140) im Bereich der Radarantenne (130) einen radial nach innen weisenden Kragen (160) aufweist.
6. Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Radarantenne (130) zusammen mit weiteren Hochfrequenzkomponenten (135) auf einem ebenen Schaltungsträger (125) angeordnet ist. Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Trichterelement (140) ein Befestigungselement (145) zur Anbringung an der Radarantenne (130) aufweist, sodass die Radarlinse (1 15) mit dem Trichterelement (140) eine separat handhabbare Einheit bildet.
Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Trichterelement (140) aus einem Radarstrahlung absorbierenden Kunststoff hergestellt ist. 9. Radarsensor (100) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Material des Trichterelements (140) porös ist.
