Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for filling a plurality of receiving compartments having open transport boxes (trays) with individual portions of drugs. Further, the invention relates to an automated pharmaceutical dispensing / dispensing station for use in a method of filling a single compartment of medicament having a plurality of storage compartments.
  • Flat transport boxes also called trays
  • a plurality of open-top receiving compartments which are preferably arranged in rows and columns in a matrix-like manner, are used, for example, to supply specific predetermined amounts of individual portions of medicaments, such as individual (or even halved) tablets or capsules, for example.
  • a blister machine for producing patient-specific blister packs, ie for automatically filling and packaging medication doses into individual small foil pouches or pouches, in an orderly manner.
  • Such a blister machine usually has a plurality of storage containers (eg 50 or even a few hundred), each containing large quantities of drug portions, such as tablets or capsules, of frequently needed drugs.
  • a blister machine is for example the "Rowa Dose System" of the applicant (see http://www.rowa.de/Rowa-Dose.1072.0.html).
  • the provided in the reservoirs drug portions are automatically removed by computer controlled dosing devices automatically in predetermined number and directed through slides and chutes in collection, each Collecting the collected in a bag or bag drug portions.
  • the collection containers are successively passed to a packaging station at which they are emptied into initially small open pouches or pouches, whereupon the pouches or bags are closed, in particular their foil edges are welded.
  • Each bag then contains the contents collected in the sump, which includes, for example, the drug to be taken by a patient at a given time.
  • the time of administration can also be printed on the bag.
  • such a blister machine In order to be able to deliver medication portions which are less frequently to be dispensed and also not available in the storage containers or else, for example, half tablets into the collecting containers and thus into the bags (blisters), such a blister machine has a device in which such rarer drugs or partial portions (eg half tablets) can be selectively fully automatically introduced into predetermined collection container.
  • This device the drug portions in the initially mentioned open transport boxes (trays) in an orderly manner gestell available.
  • the EP 2 092 927 A1 describes a method for demand-based picking of drug portions in Dispensing packs with several open-topped receiving chambers.
  • This blister packs each containing several drug portions of a particular drug type, stored in an automated warehouse.
  • an empty dispensing pack is provided and filled as needed.
  • the filling takes place by a respective blister pack is outsourced with a given drug type from the automated warehouse and transported to the filling station.
  • Individual medicament portions are then removed from the blister pack or separated from it by an automated device and filled into predetermined receiving chambers of the delivery pack. If the blister pack is only partially emptied, it is then stored again in the automated warehouse. This is repeated step by step for several types of drugs until the delivery pack is filled to specification.
  • the EP 2 255 774 A1 discloses a drug delivery station for manually filling open-top compartments of a drug delivery container.
  • a control device knows the medicaments to be filled into the medicament dispensing container as well as the respective compartments intended for them and first instructs the operator to remove a certain medicament pack (with several medicament portions) from a store.
  • the drug package manually removed by the operator is then supplied to a reader which detects an identification code applied to the package and, if necessary, issues an alarm if it is not the correct drug package.
  • the operator manually removes individual medicament portions from the medicament pack and fills them into predetermined compartments of the medicament dispensing container, wherein the control device ensures that the compartment in which a medicament portion is to be filled is always displayed by means of an optical display device.
  • the correct filling can still be monitored with a camera.
  • the operator may be prompted for a next medicine pack remove the reader and then remove it from its medication portions and fill in optically displayed compartments.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a method for filling the trays, which increases the security of the correct filling, or to provide a device that supports such a safe filling. In addition, the manual filling should be facilitated and supported.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention by a method for filling a plurality of storage compartments comprising open trays with individual portions of medicaments with the features of claim 1 or by an output / input station for an automated storage for drug packages for use in a
  • a control device for example, a control computer or a computer network
  • the nominal filling contains information about which medicine portions are to be inserted in the individual storage compartments.

  • the respective receptacle to be filled is displayed (for example by optical and / or acoustic output of the coordinates or position designation of the receiving compartment by means of an output device of a computer or by activating a display arranged directly next to the compartment or by straightening a light spot on the respective compartment, etc.).
  • the correct filling of the individual portions is monitored by the control device (for example by proximity sensors arranged on each compartment or by computer-aided analysis of an electronic image recorded by the tray).
  • the drug package if it is partially deflated (ie, for example, still at least a single portion is included, and higher minimum numbers could be specified), on a in the vicinity of the issuing space (ie preferably in the access area of the same operator) arranged for restocking the Issued / output station and from there by means of a second transport device to a second acceptance point which the operating device (eg gripper robot) of the automated warehouse accesses in order to re-store the ("opened") drug package in the automated warehouse (the storage facility controller stores information about the partial emptying of the drug package).
  • steps (b) to (e) are repeated for each subsequent drug package until all individual portions have been filled in accordance with the target occupancy.
  • This procedure of automated sequential removal and restocking of only one drug supply pack in combination with the supervised removal and insertion into the tray trays has the advantage that erroneous withdrawals from incorrect drug supply packages and incorrect loading of the compartments are avoided.
  • a preferred embodiment of the method is characterized in that an identification attached to the drug package, for example a barcode or an RFID, is read in step (b) to check the correctness of the withdrawn drug package. This creates additional security.

If this question is answered in the affirmative, that is, if a previously outsourced drug package has not yet been placed on the re-storage site, the control computer waits, so that no further transport of the subsequent drug package stored on the first take-off location 8 takes place.
  • step 24 the method continues with step 25, in which the medicament pack is transported from the first transfer point 8 to the delivery point 6. There it is then ready for removal by the operator.
  • step 26 checks to see if the package just transported to the dispensing location is the last package needed for the target filling. If yes, the outsourcing and issuing ends at the issuing place. However, if this is negated, the method returns to step 21, in which the subsequent pack to be outsourced is determined. If the sequence of the packages to be outsourced has already been determined beforehand, the next package of the sequence for removal is simply provided here. The method then proceeds again to step 22, in which the subsequent package is removed from the automated warehouse by the operating device and stored on the first acceptance point 8. Subsequently, in step 23, it is again asked whether the delivery location is free. This is negated, for example, if the operator has not yet removed the package previously transported in step 25 to the delivery location 6.
  • step 28 is temporally decoupled from the transport step 25, which is indicated by a dashed arrow 36.

  • step 29 the operator removes a drug portion, such as a tablet or capsule, from the drug package removed from the dispensing station 6.
  • the control computer displays the receptacle of the waiting tray into which this medication portion is to be inserted. Since the control computer monitors both the transportation and the removal of the particular drug package and also monitors the filling of portions in the receiving compartments with the aid of sensors, the control computer also knows which tray of the tray at the next time Medicament portion is inserted.
  • the display of the respective receiving compartment of the tray can be done in the simplest case by a visual or audible output on a screen or by means of a loudspeaker.
  • the selected receptacle is directly marked, for example, by activating an optical display visible to the operator adjacent or below the receptacle. If the tray is in a predetermined orientation in a given place, the display can also be done by directing a light spot on the selected receiving compartment. The operator then inserts the medication portion in the indicated tray of the tray, which in turn is detected by means of suitable sensors by the control computer.
  • step 30 it is asked whether another drug portion from this outsourced drug package should be placed in the same or another receptacle of the tray. If this is the case, step 29 is executed again.
  • the procedure continues with query 31.
  • the pack is empty.

If in this case a contradiction between this input of the operator and the tracked by the control computer level of the drug package found so a corresponding error signal can be issued. The user can then be asked to check the facts in more detail.
  • step 34 the process continues in step 34 with the query as to whether the last paged pack is the last pack required for the desired fill. If so, the procedure ends. If this is not the case, it can be assumed that the upper half of the FIG. 4 already shown procedure has ensured that the subsequent drug package has been transported to the dispensing station 6. Then the procedure in the lower half of FIG. 4 continued with step 28, namely the removal of the pack by the operator.
  • step 31 If it is determined in step 31 that the pack is not empty, then the method continues with step 32, namely with the return of the pack on the re-storage space 7.
