Procédé de lubrification des cylindres d'une cage de laminoir, notamment de lubrification de l'emprise dans une cage de laminoir pour laminer des bandes, un dispositif de mélange et de pulvérisation alimenté en eau par une première conduite d'alimentation (3) et en huile par une deuxième conduite d'alimentation (2) produisant un mélange d'eau et d'huile qui est pulvérisé sur la bande et/ou dans l'emprise et/ou sur au moins un des cylindres de la cage de laminoir. Selon l'invention, l'eau s'écoulant vers le dispositif de mélange et de pulvérisation (10) est chauffée pendant une durée prédéfinie par une unité de commande (9) au moyen d'un dispositif chauffant (6) prévu dans la première conduite d'alimentation (3).
