Mechanical depilatory devices generally consist of one or two hair removal heads. The depilators disclosed in these documents have a motorization common to both heads, which requires a common transmission that does not allow independent operation of each head.

However, tests have shown that the efficiency of an epilator can be improved when the two heads operate completely independently. The parameters that can be managed independently are, for example, the speeds and the directions of rotation of the two heads as well as their positioning or the flexibility of the suspension.

The document WO2004 / 033164 A1 discloses the subject matter of the preamble of claim 1.

The state of the art does not include any two-head epilator, where all the features described above, such as motorizations and independent suspensions, are combined within one device. The epilation heads of the state of the art can not therefore be managed independently.

Goals of the invention

The present invention aims to provide an epilator comprising two parallel heads which, in use, can be managed completely independently through a motor and a suspension system specific to each of the two heads.

Detailed description of the invention

Hair removal is a complex subject because the evaluation of the performance of an epilator by a user is extremely subjective. Some users will favor efficiency, where others will prefer less aggressive epilators for the skin. In addition, the evaluation of the epilator also depends on the type of skin and the hairiness of the user. There are therefore no truly quantifiable mechanical parameters to achieve "the" best epilator.

In this document, the depilating heads are defined as generally cylindrical shaped rollers, equipped with pinching means.

The epilator 1 according to the invention has for each head 5 a setting 6 of the speed and the direction of rotation. Intermittent speed changes can even be considered with this type of epilator. It also has a set of interchangeable heads to customize the epilator mechanism itself by choosing for example complementary curvatures and the type of edges on the clamps 7 or the distance between the discs in a complementary manner.

The independent management of the speeds and the directions of rotation makes it possible to use the two depilating heads 5 in a complementary manner by arranging, for example, the profile and / or the spacing of the hair removal discs situated on each head 5. The diameter and the curvature of each head can also be adapted to operate in a complementary manner.

Tests with the epilator according to the invention have shown that the user had a flexibility of setting parameters unknown until then, since he can choose the directions and speeds of rotation of the two heads independently of each other . These independence of parameters allow each user to choose the mode of operation that suits him best and which will be mainly a function of his skin type, his hair, areas of the body to be removed and his sensitivity to pain.

The epilator 1 according to the invention can function as two completely independent epilators contiguous to each other, the choices made on a hair removal head does not interfere with the choices on the other head. The choice of clamps 7, materials, diameters and positioning is free for each of the heads, which allows to establish the best complementarity or even synergy between both heads. These parameters can therefore be tailored to the needs of each user.

In addition, the positioning of the two heads is directly managed by an independent flexible suspension system for the two cylinders. This suspension system can be constructed in an adjustable manner (see Fig.2 ), which allows to better absorb all the ripples of the skin, like a car where each wheel is equipped with an individual shock absorber.

1. An epilator (1) comprising a housing and two independent, parallel epilation heads (5), with an individual suspension (3) for each of these heads (5), characterised in that the epilator (1) also comprises an individual drive system (2) for each of the heads (5).
2. Epilator (1) according to Claim 1, characterised in that the epilation heads (5) are in the form of rollers with parallel axes provided with tweezing means (7).
