Dieser wird durch eine Schneidevorrichtung 3 an zwei diametral gegenüberliegenden Stellen aufgeschnitten, sodass zwei einlagige Maschenstoffbahnen 9 entstehen. Diese werden mit Hilfe von Umlenkrollen 2 über je eine Heizplatte 6 einer Heizvorrichtung 5 geführt. Anschließend werden sie wieder über Umlenkrollen 2 geführt. Dadurch und durch die konvexe Formgebung der Heizplatten 6 wird eine konvexe Kontaktfläche 7 zwischen einlagigen Maschenstoffbahnen 9 und Heizplatten 6 erzielt. Die Heizplatten 6 sind jeweils in Richtung der zugeordneten Maschenstoffbahn 9 konvex ausgebildet. Nach der Führung über die Heizplatten 6 und die Umlenkrollen 2 werden die Maschenstoffbahnen 9 einer Aufrollung auf Maschenstoffbahnrollen 10 mit innen liegenden Kernen 11 zugeführt. Claims (3)

  1. A process for the manufacture of heat-set knitted fabric,
    the knitted fabric (8, 9) being produced and guided over at least one heating plate (6) at a temperature of 60 to 260°C and then rolled up (10) for the first time,
    wherein the knitted fabric is produced on a circular knitting machine as a tube (8) and either the tube (8) is cut open (3) before being guided over the heating plate (6) at two, in particular opposite, lines (3) and both resulting knitted fabric webs (9) are guided in one layer over in each case at least one heating plate (6) and are subsequently rolled up in each case to form a roll, or the tube (8) is opened out (4) before being guided over the heating plate and is guided in one layer over the heating plate (6),
    wherein the opened out mesh web (9) is guided over at least one heating plate (6) extending over the entire web width of the opened out mesh web (9).
