Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a buckle part of a buckle according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Such buckle parts serve in conjunction with at least one other buckle part to releasably connect straps to one another or to detachably fasten a strap to another object.
  • Belt buckles consist of at least two buckle parts and are used for example in areas of mountain sports or air sports but also in the field of personal protective equipment in the sense of safety at work and the like and have now found widespread use. Buckle parts as well as buckles are eg in the EP 2 165 619 A2 shown. In the applications mentioned belts are often connected to each other by means of these buckles. These are often part of a climbing harness or similar fall arrest systems.
  • the CA 2,209,200 A1 discloses a buckle portion of a vehicle safety belt having the generic features.
  • a D-ring is generally a closed semicircle in the broadest sense of the letter D. This is usually sewn with the straight side with the belt or sewn into it.
  • the rings or loops form on the belt a kind of hook for carabiners or similar lanyards.
  • the sewing or sewing the rings or loops on or in the belt is in the manufacture of the belt an additional step and thus additional effort, but above all it can also lead to a weakening of the load capacity of the belt.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a way to hook a carabiner with high tensile strength.
  • the invention proposes a buckle part according to claim 1.
  • the buckle part itself in addition to the connecting part for connecting the buckle part with another buckle part and the possibility of attaching a belt in the form of the web also has a possibility for hooking a carabiner or the like in the form of the attachment eye.
  • the suspension eye can also be designed integrated with the web or the connecting part, as long as the three mentioned functionalities are retained.
  • the bridge is designed as part of the attachment eye and still serves the attachment of a belt on the buckle part.
  • the belt may be a strip material known per se, that is to say a flat, flexible and elongated object with a length that is relatively small relative to the length.
  • Buckle parts according to the invention can even be used in corresponding embodiments to fasten ropes.
  • a rope can be read as a corresponding belt.
  • the belt as known per se, is looped around the web located on the buckle part so as to establish a connection between the belt and the buckle part.
  • the bridge can be a fixed or a movable bridge, a so-called clamping bar act. With displaceable is meant that the clamping bar is designed to be displaceable with respect to the rest of the buckle part. While fixed webs are not usually provided for adjusting the belt, the sliding clamps are well suited for Adjustment of the strap length.
  • the buckle part can also have more than one web or clamping web for fastening the belt or even a plurality of straps.
  • Snap hooks are known in many different embodiments.
  • commercial hooks but also other suitable, commonly used in the application areas described fasteners can be mounted. It is also conceivable and possible to connect ropes, slings or the like directly to the attachment eye.
  • the hanging eye is e.g. to a component which can also be referred to as a tab, strap, ring or eye and is preferably carried out in itself rigid.
  • the suspension eye can also be designed as a, preferably flexible, loop, noose or the like on the buckle part.
  • the suspension eye may have different shapes, e.g. be designed as a D-shaped ring or bracket.
  • the attachment eye has at least one opening, which is enclosed by the attachment eye, preferably peripherally closed.
  • the connecting part of the buckle part is used for releasably connecting the buckle part with another buckle part.
  • Soluble in this context means non-destructive solvable. So it's about a kind of connection, which is intended to be connected several times and to be solved again, without causing any destruction.
  • Non-destructively releasable compounds are, for example, those in which a breakup, sawing, cutting or the like is necessary for separating.
  • the connecting part of the buckle part with the attachment eye can be designed, for example, as a male insertion extension, which is then inserted into the female insertion insertion receptacle for connection to another buckle part.
  • the connecting part of the buckle part with the suspension eye can also be embodied, for example, as a female insertion extension receptacle into which the male insertion extension is then inserted for connection to another buckle part.
  • Buckle parts according to the invention can thus be both female and male be educated.
  • the suspension eye is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis on the remaining buckle part. This makes it possible to make the power flow as low as possible. Conveniently, the suspension eye can thus adapt to a large extent to the direction of pull of the karabiner or of the suspended connection means, without leading to excessive bending loads between the suspension eye and the remaining buckle part.
  • the pivot axis is arranged coaxially to the web.
  • the bridge is part of the suspension eye. In this way it can be ensured that the forces introduced by the carabiner, for example during a fall, can be introduced as quickly as possible directly into the belt connected to the web, without resulting in large mechanical loads on the remaining buckle part.
  • the web and at least one leg of the attachment eye form the suspension eye.
  • the web is passed through holes in the leg.
