It inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis in tumor cells cultured in vitro, and inhibits tumor growth in vivo in xenograft models (Buggy et al Mol Cancer Ther 2006 5 (5) 1309). Its pharmacological profile gives it a major therapeutic interest in the treatment of cancer.
