Salle en particulier salle de spectacle polyvalente en règle générale délimitée par des parois essentiellement verticales et équipée d'un ensemble de poutres supports de sièges (1) horizontales parallèles respectivement revêtues de panneaux d'habillage (2) chacune de ces poutres (1) portant des blocs porteurs indépendants (3) respectivement constitués par un groupe de sièges montés côte à côte (4) sur une embase (5) commune, et étant équipée de moyens de levage (7, 8) permettant de la déplacer en translation verticale, chacun des blocs porteurs (3) étant équipé que de moyens de basculement (9) permettant de déplacer les groupes de sièges (4) entre d'une part une position déployée au-dessus des panneaux d'habillage (2) des poutres porteuses (1) et d'autre part une position escamotée à la partie inférieure de ces panneaux de façon à permettre d'agencer la salle selon une configuration en gradins ou selon une configuration plane dans laquelle les panneaux d'habillage (2) des poutres porteuses (1) sont disposés au voisinage immédiat les uns des autres dans un même plan,
caractérisée en ce que
les moyens de basculement des groupes de sièges (4) sont constitués, pour chacun des blocs porteurs indépendants (3) par au moins un mécanisme de pantographe (9) comportant un support fixe (10) solidaire de la poutre porteuse (1) et un support mobile (11) solidaire du bloc porteur (3) et du groupe de sièges (4), ainsi qu'une tringlerie de commande permettant de déplacer le groupe de sièges (4) entre la position déployée et la position escamotée par rotation autour du support fixe (10).
