Description

The present invention generally relates to a vacuum nozzle with a flap.

It is known in the prior art vacuum suckers such as that described in the document US 2005 0066471 A1 . The disclosed nozzle has a sealing lip having recesses allowing air to pass inwardly of the nozzle. In return, this system has the disadvantage of not being effective to suck the impurities from the ground because the air velocities are not controlled in the nozzle. In addition, the nozzle is not properly positioned relative to the ground because a U-shaped piece disposed in the center of the nozzle does not prevent it from tilting, so that the sealing lip will not ensure uniformly its function.

The document EP 2 014 212 A1 has a suction nozzle with a mop, used with a machine suction and washing with soil water. This nozzle is equipped with a sealing lip on the front which increases the force of plating of the nozzle on the floor to wipe it. However, the use of this nozzle for washing with water makes it unfit for use on soil that does not tolerate water, such as some wood floors or non-washable fiber carpets, and its use without water will not provide effective suction. Finally, this nozzle is not conducive to use in air suction alone because the lower sole is directly in contact with the ground, which causes friction generating a resistance force to the movement, as well as noise detrimental to comfort use.

Finally, the document EP 1 222 892 B1 discloses a nozzle with a grooved sole mounted on wheels, however air leakage occurs between the sole and the ground, so that the suction is inefficient because the air velocities are not optimal in the grooves. In a second implementation, the grooved sole is directly in contact with the ground, but this generates noisy friction and increases the efforts to be exerted to move the nozzle. These two points affect the comfort of use and ergonomics of the proposed device.

An object of the present invention is to meet the disadvantages of the documents of the prior art mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to provide a vacuum nozzle with good suction efficiency.

For this purpose, a first aspect of the invention relates to a vacuum nozzle comprising a bottom flange and wheels defining a ground clearance of the lower flange which comprises at least one suction channel open towards the ground and converging with a flange. the outer sole of the lower soleplate towards a suction port connected to the vacuum cleaner, characterized in that the nozzle comprises a sealing flange arranged on the periphery of the lower flange, and in that the sealing flap comprises at least an opening arranged facing said at least one suction channel. The sealing flap according to the invention causes an effective suction because it is arranged on the periphery of the sole and stops air leakage, and the opening arranged in front of the channel allows to direct the air flow to suck up impurities from the ground properly. In other words, the nozzle, and therefore the lower sole of the nozzle, is positioned at a predetermined height of the ground by the wheels, and the well positioned bib and arranged on the periphery of the sole provides a seal to the nozzle, except at the level of openings arranged in front of each channel, which can channel the airflow directly into the channels to suck the dust effectively. Of course, it is understood that the ground clearance is defined in relation to a smooth and non-deformable floor, such as a floor or tile for example. Ideally, the flap is arranged on the entire periphery of the lower flange.

Advantageously, the sealing strip has an elasticity to bend during a displacement of the nozzle on a carpet, so as to allow a depression of the nozzle in the carpet. The nozzle according to the present invention also makes it possible to effectively clean a carpet. Indeed, the flap is sufficiently elastic so that the nozzle sinks into the carpet to clean. Without any intervention of the user, the latter can perfectly clean a smooth floor then proceed to the cleaning of a carpet or a carpet placed on the ground. The bib that bends when traveling does not affect comfort because there is no friction effort, it slides on the carpet.

Advantageously, the nozzle comprises a rotary brush. Such a nozzle in combination with the elastic flap can clean even more effectively carpet because the depression in the carpet will brush the latter better than if the nozzle does not sink.

Advantageously, the bottom flange comprises at least one chamfer arranged to allow the curvature of the sealing flap during the displacement of the nozzle on the carpet. The sole has a chamfer that facilitates the release of the bib when it bends.

A particularly interesting embodiment consists in that said at least one chamfer serves as a mechanical stop to the sealing flange curved by a displacement of the nozzle in a first direction. This implementation makes it possible to control the movement of the flap in a first direction of displacement.

Advantageously, the bottom flange comprises at least one mechanical stop for the sealing flange curved by a displacement in a second direction opposite to the first direction. This implementation makes it possible to control the movement of the flap in a second direction of displacement contrary to the first direction of displacement.

Advantageously, the wheels comprise a tread arranged to define contact pressures with the carpet which cause the squeegee to sink into the carpet. In other words, the wheels are arranged to cause contact pressures greater than those to which the carpet resists without deformation. In a non-limiting manner, the wheels can be given a barrel shape, to limit their surface contact with the ground, which will cause a small contact surface with the carpet and thus a depression of the nozzle in the carpet.

Advantageously, said at least one opening of the non-curved sealing flange defines a first air passage section, and the curvature of the sealing flange defines a second air passage section. The flap according to the invention thus defines two operating points of the vacuum cleaner by imposing a first passage section on smooth ground when it is not curved, and a second passage section on carpet when it is curved.

Advantageously, at least a portion of the sealing flap is parallel to a direction of displacement of the nozzle before or back and this parallel portion is preformed to bend outwardly of the lower sole of the nozzle during the insertion of the nozzle in the carpet. The bib according to the invention is preformed to deform in a preferred direction, so that the nozzle will sink easily into the carpet.

A second aspect of the invention is a vacuum cleaner comprising at least one nozzle according to the first aspect of the invention.

  • la figure 1 représente un suceur selon l'invention vu de dessous en perspective ;
  • la figure 2 représente le suceur de la figure 1 vu de profil ;
Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the following detailed description of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings, in which:
  • the figure 1 represents a nozzle according to the invention seen from below in perspective;
  • the figure 2 represents the sucker of the figure 1 seen in profile;
  • the figure 3 represents a sectional view of the nozzle of the figure 1 .

The figure 1 represents a suction nozzle 100 according to the invention. It comprises a bottom flange 10 with a plurality of suction channels 20 open to the ground. The nozzle also comprises wheels 30, 35, whose profile of the tread is barrel-shaped and which defines a ground clearance of the sole 10 when the nozzle rests on a smooth floor. The nozzle is in the general shape of a triangle and at least one of the channels 20 opens into the tip of the nozzle. Each channel 20 connects a suction orifice 15, for example in the form of a slot, towards the outside of the soleplate 10, so that the air sucked by the motor of the vacuum cleaner travels preferentially in the channels of the soleplate. In order to have a good suction efficiency, the invention proposes in particular to arrange around the soleplate a sealing lip or bib 40. This sealing lip 40 eliminates leaks between the smooth floor and the soleplate 10, and to have a good suction efficiency, the sealing strip 40 is perforated facing the channels 20, so that the air sucked under the sole 10 can only enter directly into the channels 20. It This results in good suction of impurities from the ground because the air velocities in the channels 20 are maximum, since all the air sucked passes through it.

The figure 2 represents a profile view of the nozzle 100 on a smooth floor. The wheels 30, 35 (the latter are hidden by the sealing lip) position the nozzle 100 in height relative to the ground. The sealing flap 40 shaves the ground, so as to eliminate air leakage between the ground and the bottom flange 10, and openings 45 of the sealing flap 40 arranged directly in front of the channels allow air to pass through. in these to entrain the impurities resting on the ground.

The figure 3 represents a section of the nozzle of the figure 1 according to the line 3-3, in use on a carpet 200. The nozzle 100 is pushed forward by the user, thanks to the profile of the wheels 30, 35 barrel-shaped, the contact pressures on the carpets 200 are high, this which allows the nozzle to sink into the latter, and the sealing strip 40 which is sufficiently elastic curve. At the front of the sole, a chamfer 11 allows the seal flap 40 to bend and at the same time serves as a stop to the latter. Thus, the position of the flap is precise and it can slide on the carpet without creating resistance detrimental to the movement. At the rear of the lower flange, the sealing flange 40 also curves, and a mechanical stop 12 is provided to limit the folding of the flap 40. According to the variant shown, a chamfer 11 is also present at the rear the sole and a mechanical stop 12 is placed in front of the sole of the nozzle. A rotating brush (60) is arranged in the suction slot 15, and the brushing of the carpet is effective because the nozzle, thanks to the elasticity of the sealing strip, sinks properly into the carpet.

It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements obvious to those skilled in the art can be made to the embodiment of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.
