Abstract

Kühler (10) zur Kühlung eines in einem Verdichter verdichteten, gasförmigen Mediums, mit einem Gehäuse (11), mit einem im Gehäuse (11) positionierten Wärmetauscher (12), der mehrere von einem Kühlmittel durchströmte und von dem zu kühlenden, gasförmigen Medium umströmte Rohre aufweist, mit mindestens einem Zulauf (13), über welchen das zu kühlende Medium in das Gehäuse (11) des Kühlers einführbar und einem strömungseintrittseitigen Abschnitt (14) des Wärmetauschers (12) zuführbar ist, und mit mindestens einem Ablauf, über welchen gekühltes Medium ausgehend von einem strömungsaustrittseitigen Abschnitt (16) des Wärmetauschers (12) aus dem Gehäuse (11) des Kühlers abführbar ist, wobei im Gehäuse (11) in Strömungsrichtung des zu kühlenden Mediums gesehen stromaufwärts des strömungseintrittseitigen Abschnitts des Wärmetauschers (12) mindestens ein perforiertes, plattenartiges Strömungsvergleichmäßigungselement (18, 19) positioniert ist.
