Definitions
- the present invention relates to a screw cap comprising a base having a threaded cylindrical tubular portion and a terminal flange for attachment to a closed container of sheet material and a cutting sleeve threadedly connected to the thread of the base.
- Screw caps of the type mentioned are already known since the late 80s.
- Such a closure shows, for example, the EP 0328652 A
- Further developments show, for example, the US 5147070 , the WO 99/62776 , the WO 2004/083055 and many more.
- the cutting sleeve is driven by drivers, which are attached to the underside of the top surface of the screw cap.
- the cutting sleeve is moved in a same direction rotational movement with opposite axial displacement.
- the cutting sleeve cuts the closed container, using a combined perforation and cutting action.
- Screw caps of the type mentioned above which have a cutting sleeve with which the container is mounted on the screw, cut open and thus can be opened, so far, provided with dosing, not known. It is now the object of the present invention to remedy this situation.
- Such a screw cap is preferably designed so that the cutting sleeve is designed double-walled below the lateral metering with a thread-free inner shell wall with a terminal cutting edge and an outer shell wall with internal thread, which meshes with the thread on the lower part, and that the outer shell wall in the axial direction shorter than the height of the cylindrical pipe section of the lower part.
- the self-opening screw cap is designated overall by 1. However, one could call the same closure as well as dosing, as this is the combination of a self-opening screw cap and a DosierverInstitutes.
- the inventive screw cap consists of four components, namely a lower part 2, a cutting sleeve 3, a spacer means 4 and a valve piston 5, which is designed in the uppermost region as a rotary handle, wherein in the assembled state, only this part of the valve piston is visible.
- the interest here screw is, as already mentioned, attached to a closed container made of foil.
- the lower part 2 has a radial outwardly projecting, circumferential flange 21.
- the cutting sleeve 3 has a lateral metering opening 31, which is realized here relatively large as a square window. Before the first use of the distance-holding means 4 is still present, which can be realized either as a spacer ring or as a guarantee strip 40. From the valve piston here on the one hand, the terminal top surface 52 and on the other hand, the circumferential, the cutting sleeve in the upper region cross skirt 53 can be seen, which serves as a grip surface and is provided with a ribbing 54 accordingly.
- the lower part 2 consists of a pipe section 20 at the bottom end a radially outwardly directed flange 21 is integrally formed. On the outside of the pipe section 20, an external thread 22 is attached.
- the lower part 2 may be glued or welded onto the closed container.
- the closed container is a tubular bag made of plastic film, it is preferable to weld the lower part 2 onto this tubular bag. This is usually done with an ultrasonic welding.
- About the pipe section 20 of the lower part 2 can now be a spacer means 4 are pushed which approximately bridges the distance between the flange 21 and the external thread 22.
- the spacer holding means 4 is a spacer ring which can be pushed over the external thread with slight elongation. Before the first opening of this spacer ring 40 must be removed. For this purpose, a tear flap 41 is formed.
- the cutting sleeve 3 consists of a cylinder 30 which is open on both sides and has a lateral metering opening 31.
- the area above the metering opening 31 is referred to herein as the valve cylinder area.
- Below the metering opening 31, the cutting sleeve 3 is double-walled. This double-walled area is designated 33.
- the inner jacket wall which is not visible here, represents the linear continuation of the valve cylinder area.
- This inner jacket wall 35 has at the lower end cutting means 38, by means of which the closed container on which the closure is mounted, can be cut open. Before the first use of the screw cap, these cutting means 38 are completely in the region of the tube section 20 of the lower part 2. In the FIG.
- the double-walled area 33 in particular the outer jacket wall 34 recognizable.
- This outer jacket wall 34 runs concentrically around the inner jacket wall 35.
- the outer jacket wall 34 has an internal thread 36 which is not recognizable in this figure and which is suitable for the external thread 22 of the lower part 2.
- the cutting means 38 can not inadvertently come into contact with the container. Only when this spacer ring 40 has been removed, the cutting sleeve 3 can move downwardly screwed and thus open the still closed container. To do this, turn the cutting sleeve 3 clockwise downwards.
- the double-walled area serves as a grip surface.
- the valve piston 5 is designed as a hollow cylinder 55 and has at its upper end an external thread 56 which mates with the internal thread 39 of the cutting sleeve.
- the hollow cylinder 55 of the valve piston 5 has a circumferential stop lip 51 which ensures that the valve piston 5 can not be completely unscrewed out of the cutting sleeve 3. In the maximum open position, this circumferential abutment lip 51 abuts against the upper edge of the lateral metering opening.
- a circumferential groove may be present, in which the stopper lip engages in the uppermost position.
- a cam-like, outwardly projecting locking means 23 may be provided below the thread.
- an inwardly projecting retaining lug 34 ' may be integrally formed, which engages under this cam-like locking means 23 and thus after first use this relative position of the cutting sleeve 3 secures relative to the lower part 2.
- This in the FIG. 3 shown position now forms the closed use position.
- the hollow cylinder 55 of the valve piston 5 projects into the area of the open-sided, open-ended cylinder 30 below the metering opening 31.
- a circumferential sealing bead 37 presses sealingly on the lowermost region of the hollow cylinder 55.
- the user can now grasp the gripping surface of the contactors 53 and turn the valve piston 5 upwards.
- the external thread 56 runs on the hollow cylinder 55 in the internal thread 39 of the cutting sleeve 3 above the metering opening 31.
- an inwardly directed circumferential sealing bead 60 is attached to the cutting sleeve 3.
- the valve piston 5 can be turned upwards until the circumferential abutment lip 51 abuts the upper edge of the metering opening 31.
- the metering opening 31 diametrically opposite a closed formation 61 is provided.
- This closed formation 61 is formed by the axially extended outer shell wall 34 at the level of the upper edge of the metering 31, an inwardly directed shoulder 62, the connection of this outer shell wall is made with the upper portion of the cylinder 30 open on both sides.
- the outer jacket wall 34 can also be raised generally and peripherally up to said shoulder 62 which extends at the level of the upper edge of the metering opening.
- this is not suitable, since in this case a residual volume would exist below this shoulder 62 when closing, from which a considerable amount of residue would still flow after closure.
- the closed configuration 61 selected here such an afterflow can not take place.
- the preferred embodiment shown here can be realized with the metering opening 31 diametrically opposite closed design 61 with a single lateral slide.
Description
The present invention relates to a screw cap comprising a base having a threaded cylindrical tubular portion and a terminal flange for attachment to a closed container of sheet material and a cutting sleeve threadedly connected to the thread of the base.
Closures of this type have prevailed in the market and are today an integral part of closed containers made of film material. These containers were heretofore essentially made of laminated film material consisting of a combination of plastic films, cardboard layers, an aluminum barrier layer and an inner sealing layer of plastic film. Containers of such multilayer film material are relatively pressure resistant and have been used mainly for the beverage market.
Only in recent times containers are made of pure plastic film material, which are much more flexible and pressure sensitive accordingly. Therefore, can be packed in such containers not only drinks, but also highly viscous liquids, thixotropic liquids or free-flowing solids. Although such contents can be delivered in a metered manner by applying pressure to the container when the closure is open and thus reducing the volume of the interior space. Controlled dosed delivery is difficult to achieve. In particular, if the container is still practically completely full, you have to raise this and it is automatically depending on the weight of the filled container a more or less strong pressure exerted on this. Since in the previously known screw caps with cutting sleeve, the screw cap is completely unscrewed, the full passage of the cutting sleeve is open and the risk that it will spill over the liquid alone when lifting the container is enormous.
On the market, a variety of different forms of Dosierverschlüssen are present, which have a metering, in which the metering can be opened or closed according to more or less or in which the access to the metering, for example, with a valve piston more or less open can.
Screw caps of the type mentioned above, which have a cutting sleeve with which the container is mounted on the screw, cut open and thus can be opened, so far, provided with dosing, not known. It is now the object of the present invention to remedy this situation.
This object is achieved by a screw cap of the type mentioned, in which the cutting sleeve projects beyond the lower part and in this projecting area a lateral metering opening, and an internal thread in which the lateral metering opening closing and opening valve piston is present, in the area below the lateral metering opening engages sealingly in the cutting sleeve.
Such a screw cap is preferably designed so that the cutting sleeve is designed double-walled below the lateral metering with a thread-free inner shell wall with a terminal cutting edge and an outer shell wall with internal thread, which meshes with the thread on the lower part, and that the outer shell wall in the axial direction shorter than the height of the cylindrical pipe section of the lower part. As a result, now the cutting sleeve can be taken from the outside and operated by hand, regardless of the screwing a screw cap. Thus, while you can thereby cut open the container while the shutter is still closed, there is also no danger during this opening already squeeze out liquid from the container.
Further advantageous embodiments of the subject invention will become apparent from the other dependent claims and their meaning and effect will be explained in the description with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The self-opening screw cap is designated overall by 1. However, one could call the same closure as well as dosing, as this is the combination of a self-opening screw cap and a Dosierverschlusses. The inventive screw cap consists of four components, namely a lower part 2, a

The lower part 2 consists of a

The

The user can now grasp the gripping surface of the
Instead of the
