Description

The invention relates to a tamping pick according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a stuffing pommel is already through EP 1 329 554 A1 known. The entire plate front and back of the pimple plate are covered with carbide tips. In the area of the plate side surfaces cylindrical cemented carbide inserts are provided, which are positioned in corresponding holes of the picking plate.

The object of the present invention is now to provide a stuffing pick of the type mentioned, which can be produced efficiently and at the same time has a high abrasion resistance.

This object is achieved with a tamping pick of the generic type by the features stated in the characterizing part of claim 1.

Such an armor leads to an optimum protection of the hard metal supports in their end. When welding, the use of different electrodes is possible, whereby different, abrasion-resistant materials can be applied. Even after very long periods of use of the stuffing tamp any repairs and repairs to the armor are easy to perform. The lifetime of the stuffed pot is thus significantly increased overall. The direct Comparison with an armor made of soldered carbide supports cheaper build-up welding significantly reduces the total cost of the stuffing peg.

Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims and the drawing description.

The in the FIGS. 2 and 3 Tamping pick 5 shown in detail consists of a picking shaft 8 and a pick plate 9 positioned at the lower end thereof. This pick plate has a plate lower edge 10 that is distanced from the picking shaft 8. The pick plate 9 further has spaced apart in the direction of the plate lower edge 10 from each other and normal to this extending plate side surfaces 11. These connect in each case a plate front side 12 with a plate rear side 13 of the picking plate 9. Auf these are hard metal pads 14 attached to increase the abrasion resistance. The hard metal supports 14 located next to each other along the lower edge 10 of the plate form a common boundary line 15 both on the front plate 12 and on the back of the plate 13. Subsequent to each delimiting line 15 is a build-up weld which lifts off from a plane 16 of the front or rear side 12, 13 of the plate provided as an armor 17.
