In the tobacco processing industry it is known to produce multi-segment filters consisting of different filter segments, such as different materials. These materials are, for example, cellulose acetate, paper, fluid, granules, sintered elements, hollow cylinders or hollow chambers, capsules and the like. Wird im Folgenden der Einfachheit halber nur noch von Filterstäben oder Filtersegmenten gesprochen, so gilt das Gesagte ganz entsprechend auch für andere zu fördernde Artikel der vorgenannten Art.Articles of the tobacco processing industry in the present context are understood to mean those products which, in one or more parallel rows, are conveyed on conveyors, e.g. on conveyor drums in filter or cigarette manufacturing machines, held and by these, preferably transaxially conveyed. Such articles are filter cigarettes as well as filter rods, filter segments, etc. If, for the sake of simplicity, only filter rods or filter segments are discussed below, then what has been said also applies correspondingly to other articles of the aforementioned type to be conveyed.
Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to article segments of the tobacco processing industry when staggering, especially narrow, article segments, such as filter rod segments, to handle safely.
- wherein the article segment groups are respectively transferred to the first stagger device from recordings of the sponsorship organ for the article segment groups, wherein article segment subgroups having an equal or approximately equal number of article segments each comprise the article segment group provided for the first stagger device with more than two, in particular more than three, article segments be formed or are,
- wherein during the transfer in a first method step, a first article segment subgroup of the article segment group provided on the conveyor element is included in a receptacle of the first staggering device,
- and in a directly next, in particular in a second, method step, a second article segment subgroup from the first article segment subgroup transferred to the first graduation device on the Conveying member reduced article segment group in the transverse axial direction behind the previously transmitted first sub-segment subgroup and offset in the longitudinal axial direction is added to a subsequent recording of the first staggering device,
- wherein the second transmitted article segment subgroup is or will be spaced apart by at least a length of the or an article segment subgroup from the first submitted article segment subgroup between the facing end faces of the first article segment subgroup and the second article segment subgroup;
- wherein the article segment subgroups are each formed with an equal or approximately equal number of article segments from the article segment group provided for the first stagger device with more than two, in particular with more than three, article segments,
- wherein for carrying out the method steps, the article segment subgroups of the provided article segment group are transferred from the conveyor organ, in particular conveyor drum, to the first staggering device, in particular staggering drum, the article segment subgroups staggered on the first staggering device having a plurality of individual article segments following to a second staggering device, in particular second staggering drum , be promoted.
The invention is based on the idea that when staggering Article segments, such as Filterstabsegmenten, a filter rod segment or more filter rod segments as an article segment subgroup on the staggering device, in particular staggered drum, staggered, with an article segment subgroup is arranged in a staggering step as a second article segment subgroup after the first article segment subgroup in the subsequent recording of the staggering device, not immediately adjacent the first-removed article segment sub-group from the provided article segment group is arranged on the transferring conveying member.
This is explained by means of a four-segment provided article group. For example, filter segments which are also referred to as filter rod segments are conveyed in the arrangement segment 1 - segment 2 - segment 3 -
Thus, based on the conveying direction of the staggering drum in the transverse axial direction, the segment subgroups are staggered in the following order: Segment 2 - Segment 4 - Segment 1 -
In one embodiment of the method, it is possible for each article segment subgroup to be staggered to consist of several filter segments, wherein in particular when several filter segments are provided for an article segment subgroup, the article segment subgroups each have the same or approximately the same number of article segments.
If the article segment subgroups have an approximately equal number of article segments, the scope of the invention means that the number of article segments of an article segment subgroup preferably differs by one article segment from the number of article segments of a second or another article segment subgroup.
For example, if an article group with seven article segments, ie with an odd number of article segments, is promoted to a seasoning facility for staggering, it is possible to have two article segment subgroups each with two article segments and one article segment subgroup with three article segments on the staggering device to arrange staggered one behind the other. If, for example, an article group with eleven adjacently arranged article segments is conveyed to the staggering device, it is possible to arrange two article segment subgroups, each with four article segments, and one article segment subgroup with three article segments staggered on the staggering device one behind the other.
If the article segment subsets are unequal, i. For example, if the number of article segments is staggered along the staggering drum, then preferably a staggering drum with an uneven pitch, i. used or used with an uneven pitch between the receiving troughs of the staggering drum.
- wherein a third article segment subgroup of the transferred to the first staggering device, in particular first and second, article segment subgroups on the conveyor organ reduced article segment group in the transverse axial direction behind the previously, especially first and second, transferred article segment subgroups and offset in the longitudinal axial direction in a subsequent recording of the first Staffeleinrichtung is added,
- wherein the third article segment subgroup is in longitudinal axial Direction by at least one or more lengths of the or an article segment subgroup to the second transferred article segment subgroup between the facing end faces of the second article segment subgroup and the third article segment subgroup is spaced or will.
With reference to the above example, with the four article segments, the third tiered
- wherein a fourth article segment subgroup of the transferred to the first staggering device, in particular first and second and third, article segment subgroups on the conveying member reduced article segment group in the transverse axial direction behind the previously, especially first and second and third, transferred article segment subgroups and offset in the longitudinal axial direction in one subsequent recording of the first staging facility is recorded,
- wherein the fourth article segment subgroup in the longitudinal axial direction passed by at least one or more lengths of the or an article segment subgroup to the third Article segment subgroup is or will be spaced between the facing end faces of the third article segment subgroup and the fourth article segment subgroup.
This method step is also carried out, for example, according to the above four-segment embodiment, since the fourth staggered article
According to the invention, it is provided that in the staggering of more than three segment subgroups on or by means of the, in particular first, staggering device, at least two staggering process steps are carried out in which staggered article segment subgroups are taken from the article group provided, which was previously on the staggering drum arranged article segment subgroup in the longitudinal axial direction is spaced by at least a length of the article segment subgroups. In the illustrated example with four segments, in the staggered arrangement segment 2 - segment 4 - segment 1 -
- and in a directly next, in particular fourth, method step, a fourth article segment subgroup is taken from the article segment group transferred to the first graduation device on the conveyor element reduced article segment group in the transverse axial direction behind the previously transmitted article segment subgroups and offset in the longitudinal axial direction in a subsequent recording of the first graduation device .
- wherein the fourth transmitted article segment subgroup is or will be spaced apart by at least one or more lengths of the or an article segment subgroup from the third handed article segment subgroup between the facing end faces of the third article segment subgroup and the fourth article segment subgroup.
In this embodiment of the method, according to the staggering according to the invention, between a first and second article segment subgroup in a subsequent method step, e.g. between a third and fourth article segment subgroup, these two article segment subgroups are arranged in the longitudinal axial direction and at least one or more lengths of the article segment subgroups on the staggering device or the staggering drum.
In addition, a refinement of the method is characterized in that, prior to transfer to the first staggering device, the first article segment subgroup to be staggered or staggered and / or the third article segment subgroup to be staggered or staggered are formed as an article segment subgroup between the two outer article segment subsets of the article segment group. The recording of a first segment subgroup on the staggering drum between the two outer article segment subgroups takes place, for example, in the case of a four-segment article segment group on the conveying element arranged in the staggering device and conveying the article segment groups. The removal or transfer of a first and third article segment subgroup in the order of staggering between outer or outer article segment subgroups can take place, for example, in a five-segment article segment group.
In particular, for carrying out the method steps, the first staggering device has a staggering drum. Here, on the staggering drum, for example, a four-segment article segment group or an article segment group having more than four article segments, the longitudinal axial spacing on the staggering drum between two staggered successively arranged article segment subgroups executed.
Preferably, it is also provided that more than three individual article segments are transferred from the conveying member to the first staggering device for carrying out the method steps.
According to the invention, the article segment subgroups of the article segment group provided are transferred by the conveyor organ, in particular conveyor drum, to the first staggering device, in particular staggering drum, the ones on the first staggering device staggered arranged article segment subgroups with several individual article segments (as subsegment subgroups) following a second staggering device, in particular second staggering drum, are promoted.
- wherein, following the transfer of the individual article segments of the article segment subgroups to the second staggering device, the two article segments of each article segment subgroup are staggered longitudinally and transaxially one behind the other and staggered in different receptacles of the second staggering device.
In this preceding method step, two segment subgroups, each having two individual article segments, are conveyed to a further staggering drum for sequential staggering. It is possible that between the first and the second staggering drum is provided at least one further conveying member, in particular a further conveying drum, for conveying the article segment sub-groups in a transverse-axial direction. On the second staggering device, in particular staggering drum, the two article segments of each article segment subgroup are arranged staggered in succession by a further staggering process in two different receiving troughs of the staggering device.
- wherein the article segment subgroups are respectively transferred from recordings of the article segment subgroup sponsor or recordings from the first seasoning device to the second seasoning device, article segments each being formed from the article subset group formed for the second seasoning device and comprising more than two article segments,
- wherein in the transfer in one, preferably n-th (n = 1, 2,...), A first article segment of the article segment subgroup provided on the first staggering device or on the second conveying element is received in a receptacle of the second staggering device
- and in an immediately next, preferably (n + 1) th (n = 1, 2, ....) step, a second article segment from the first article segment transferred to the second staggering device on the first staggering device or the second conveying device reduced article segment subgroup is received in the transverse axial direction behind the previously submitted first article segment and offset in the longitudinal axial direction in a subsequent recording of the second staggering device,
- wherein the second transferred article segment is or will be spaced longitudinally axially by at least a length of the article segments from the first transferred article segment between the facing end faces of the first article segment and the second article segment,
- wherein each of the article segments is or are formed from the article segment subset provided for the second tier device with more than three article segments.
According to this method step, it is possible, for example, to stagger on a first staggered drum three article segment subgroups arranged in each case with three article segments and then by means of the downstream second staggering drum the individual item segments of the staggered article segment subgroups individually staggered and singled on the second staggered drum, wherein the staggering process on the second staggering drum, the individual article segments of the article segment subgroups are staggered, in one step two spaced apart by an article segment length article segments from each other in the longitudinal axial direction spaced on the second conveyor drum are arranged staggered.
In addition, a preferred embodiment is characterized in that, prior to the transfer to the second staggering device, the first article segment is formed between the two outer article segments of the respective article segment subgroup.

In accordance with the at least two staggering or the series connection of two
According to the invention, staggering of the stubble drums adjacent filter segments or filter segment subgroups are not transferred to successive receiving troughs of the staggering drum. As a result, with the use of short filter segments, for example with a length of 8 to 15 mm or with a maximum length of 8 to 15 mm, a process-reliable staggering of the segments is achieved. For example, at a Number of 3, 4, 5 and 6 filter segments for an article group designed this on the first staggering drum. Providing 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 filter segments prior to staggering, these are staggered onto two consecutive stomp rolls, with the filter segments being singularly delivered to a subsequent conveyor drum after staggering.
