Description

The present invention relates to a manual cutting system with a cutting template and a separate cutting tool with a cutting blade rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis of rotation. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of a manual cutting system for cutting a material section from a material web for disposable surgical materials, such as surgical covers, in particular patient covers and / or instrument covers, combinations and / or surgical clothing, in particular surgical gowns. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for the production of disposable surgical materials with at least one hole cutout.

In the field of disposable surgical materials, such as surgical drapes, in particular patient and / or instrument covers and / or surgical clothing, in particular surgical gowns, the cutting out of material sections from the material webs to produce hole cut-outs, which are functional in the finished product, among others can be provided as openings for the subsequent surgical intervention field or for performing limbs, or as cutouts for sleeves or for neck cuts in surgical gowns, an often essential process step.

For introducing hole cutouts into such disposable surgical materials, punches are known to be used in the production lines. Thus, these punching devices can be fixed in the manufacturing process and the hole cutout be obtained at a defined position by moving a punching knife and the counter-template and the material web guided therebetween, as shown for example in US Pat US 4,017,349 is shown. Furthermore, it is also customary to introduce perforated cutouts into the machine-direction-conveyed material web by means of knife or punching templates integrated on rotating rollers, for example US 6,497,188 B2 shows.

Such punching devices can be used advantageously in production lines for the mass production of disposable surgical materials in a single embodiment, in terms of the constant positioning of the hole cutout or even its constant size and contour.

However, it was recognized that in the manufacture of surgical materials that are adapted to different individual needs, the use of such punching devices are rather disadvantageous: Firstly, there is a need for frequent hole cutting sizes or shapes of frequent change of punching templates, ie their installation and expansion, which is time consuming. Also, the repositioning of a punching device to adapt to the desired positioning of the hole cut in the submitted material web is often rather unwieldy and can often be accomplished only by using several people due to the heavy weight. It has been recognized that such a manufacturing step for obtaining hole cutouts is not advantageous for every manufacturing process of surgical materials, but rather slows down the process speed in individually created manufacturing processes and is thus no longer efficient.

For cutting material sections of webs other possibilities are known in addition to punching. That's how it shows EP-1935591-A1 a cutting system consisting of a template, on the inwardly directed contour of a kind of rail for guiding the cutting tool is provided. The knife or the blade is mounted here together with the guide pins on a rotatable axle.

A similarly functioning cutting system is from the US-20020095810-A1 known, wherein a cutting tool is also performed in a rail along the contour of a cutting template and the rotatable about its longitudinal axis knife can be achieved by the use of ball bearings.

US 2002/0062567 A1 describes a cutting system, wherein the cutting tool between the handle and rotatably mounted knife provides a distance to arrange the cutting edge of the cutting template therein and thereby to obtain a guide of the cutting tool.

US 2002/0134213 A1 shows a cutting system which can be used in particular for cutting papers, comprising a cutting tool and a cutting template. The cutting tool has a rotatably mounted on a base guide handle. In the main body a blade holding pin and a guide pin are each rotatably mounted, wherein the guide pin is provided for the guide in a guide channel provided for the cutting template. The knife in turn is rotatably mounted within the pin by means of ball bearings about its longitudinal axis.

US RE38,354 E describes a cutting system for obtaining circular cutouts consisting of a rotatably mounted cutting template with a plurality of openings, which are arranged concentrically at different distances from the center and which are provided for receiving a cutting tool to run a circular cut with the desired diameter to create. The cutting tool has a rotatably arranged and exchangeable knife.

The object of the invention is to improve methods for producing surgical materials which have a production step for introducing hole cutouts into the material web in such a way that a high flexibility of the production line is provided. This manufacturing step should be carried out with simple and inexpensive means.

To achieve this object, a manual cutting system for cutting a material section from a material web for disposable surgical materials, such as surgical drapes, in particular patient and / or instrument covers and / or surgical clothing, in particular surgical gowns proposed, wherein the manual cutting system comprises at least one cutting template and a separate cutting tool. For the advantageous interaction of the two components cutting template and cutting tool in the application process is significant that the cutting blade in a working position extends beyond a lower end of the grip sleeve only so far out that the inner wall of the cutting template during cutting a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve can form.

The separate cutting tool with the rotatable cutting blade can be individually set in the middle of the cutting template on the material then intended for cutting and then guided with manual force to the inner wall and along this wall of the cutting template. Thus, it does not require accurate positioning of the cutting tool within the cutting template.

The cutting tool is inexpensive in this simple design. Further, the cutting tool can be combined with several different cutting templates, as long as the cutting blade in a working position extends beyond a lower end of the grip sleeve only so far out that the inner wall of the cutting template can form a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve during cutting. This manual cutting system provides high flexibility.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, therefore, the manual cutting system comprises a plurality of cutting templates, which differ in size and / or contour of the recess.

In a further development of the invention, the cylindrical grip sleeve of the cutting tool is integrally formed.

The grip sleeve comprises or consists preferably of polymeric materials, such as in particular hard plastics, such as aminoplasts, phenolic resins, crosslinked polyacrylates, epoxy resins.

The grip sleeve has a length in the longitudinal direction of preferably at least 10 cm, more preferably at least 11 cm, more preferably at most 16 cm, further preferably at most 15 cm, further preferably at most 14 cm. With this length of the grip sleeve, the grip sleeve in the longitudinal direction can be well embraced by the entire hand of the user, which is advantageous in the state of use for a good guidance of the cutting tool.

During cutting or in the working position, the cutting tool is guided with its longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the inner wall of the cutting template.

The grip sleeve according to the invention is designed and arranged such that the cutting blade in the working position extends beyond the lower end of the grip sleeve only to the extent that when cutting the contact between the inner wall of the cutting template and outer wall of the grip sleeve can be made, that is the inner Wall of the cutting template during the cutting process can form a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve.

The inner wall of the cutting template extends substantially perpendicularly over a height H between an upper and a lower side of the template. Preferably, the cutting blade extends in the working position beyond the lower end of the grip sleeve so far that in the working position of the cutting blade or during cutting at least 50% of the height of the inner wall can form a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve.

The cutting blade has an upper, provided for attachment to the axis of rotation end and a lower, provided for cutting end with a tip. The lower end of the cutting blade or the tip of the cutting blade is not arranged in alignment with the axis of rotation, but is offset from the axis of rotation. Thus, the mounted about a longitudinal axis of rotation in a rotatable mounted cutting blade during the cutting process in the direction selected by the user guide.

The cutting blade is preferably designed in the form of a scalpel blade. The cutting blade preferably has an arcuate edge starting from the tip of the lower end.

According to the invention, the cylindrical grip sleeve surrounds the axis of rotation of the cutting tool. The grip sleeve with its outer wall has an outer diameter D at its lower end. The cylindrical grip sleeve thus forms in the working position a spacer between the rotatably mounted cutting blade and the inner wall of the cutting template. Accordingly, the cutting line has a distance A from the inner wall of the cutting template. This is advantageous because the cutting template can be protected from being scrapped by the cutting blade, thus avoiding soiling of the material to be cut. Especially with surgical materials must contamination, eg. Eg by free particles, be avoided.

This distance A is preferably half of the outer diameter D of the lower end of the grip sleeve.

Der Abstand A beträgt vorzugsweise höchstens 30 mm, weiter vorzugsweise höchstens 25 mm, weiter vorzugsweise höchstens 20 mm. Der Abstand A beträgt vorzugsweise mindestens 5 mm, weiter vorzugsweise mindestens 7 mm, weiter vorzugsweise 10 mm.The distance A is preferably at most 30 mm, more preferably at most 25 mm, more preferably at most 20 mm. At this distance, the material to be cut can still be fixed well with the cutting template and thus areawise deforestations of the material web can be avoided, so that a clean cutting line is achieved. The distance A is preferably at least 5 mm, more preferably at least 7 mm, more preferably 10 mm.

The outer diameter D of the cylindrical grip sleeve is advantageously chosen so that even in the region which is provided for grasping the grip sleeve by hand, the grip sleeve can be gripped well with one hand of the user, preferably substantially full circumference. Preferably, the grip sleeve has an outer diameter D of at least 10 mm, more preferably 20 mm, more preferably at most 60 mm, further preferably at most 50 mm, further preferably at most 40 mm. With this outer diameter of the grip sleeve, the grip sleeve can be well encompassed by the entire hand of the user, which is advantageous in the state of use for a good guidance of the cutting tool.

The axis of rotation preferably allows a full rotation of the cutting blade, so a rotation of 360 °.

The cutting tool is preferably equipped in the interior of the grip sleeve with at least one rolling bearing, in particular a radial bearing, in particular a ball bearing. With rolling bearings advantageously a low-friction rotatability can be achieved around the axis of rotation.

Preferably, two rolling bearings are provided in the cutting tool, which are mounted on a shaft at a distance from each other, wherein the shaft is rotatably mounted about the rotation axis. When using two rolling bearings thus advantageously smaller rolling bearings can be used, which allow a stable support on the shaft over the distance.

In one configuration of the cutting tool with two rolling bearings, these two bearings are preferably held by projections in the interior of the grip sleeve at a distance and secured in particular at the upper end with a lock nut against slipping. A corresponding topography in the interior of the grip sleeve, in particular when the protrusions are formed by the material forming the grip sleeve, represents a simple construction.

The rolling bearing preferably has an inner ring and an outer ring, wherein inner ring and outer ring are mutually movable and are separated by a so-called rolling elements. As rolling elements different embodiments may be provided, in particular balls, cylinders, cones.

In rolling bearings with inner ring and outer ring of the outer ring is preferably arranged in the interior of the grip sleeve, that the outer ring preferably rests on projections in the interior of the grip sleeve and is accurately and firmly arranged in the interior of the grip sleeve. Due to the accuracy of fit of the outer ring on the interior of the grip sleeve, the outer ring can in particular only be pressed; It can thus be on the outer ring and the interior of the grip sleeve firmly together fixing material, such as adhesives dispensed with. This is advantageous because additional materials and further process steps are therefore unnecessary, which in turn saves costs.

The inner ring is preferably held by a lock nut or an extended lower end of the shaft.

Preferably, the cutting blade is detachably mounted to a lower end of the shaft. This embodiment advantageously increases the flexibility of use for the manual cutting system, since a suitable cutting blade can be used for the material intended for cutting. In addition, when the cutting blade is worn, it can be replaced by a new functional cutting blade.

Einspannsysteme denkbar.Preferably, the lower end of the shaft is provided with a flattened portion on which advantageously the cutting blade can be fixed with a partial area lying flat, preferably with a Rädelschraube. Preferably, the cutting blade is inserted between a flattened portion of the shaft and another cover plate. But there are also other Feststellungs options, such as. Einspannsysteme conceivable.

The cutting template of the manual cutting system is intended to be placed on a web of material which is to be fed to the cutting step. In order to provide a secure positioning of the cutting template on the material web, the cutting template is equipped in an advantageous development on an underside directed towards the material web with non-slip but non-adhesive means. As antislip agents preferably silicone or rubber naps can be used.

The slip-resistant means are preferably provided in regions, in particular evenly distributed on the underside. As a result, a cost-effective, but still sufficient in use state position assurance of the cutting template is given.

In particular, the cutting template has at least one gripping means for holding the cutting template and in particular for holding down the underlying material web in regions. The gripping means for holding is preferably perpendicular to the plane of the cutting template. The seizing agent is formed in particular arcuate.

This invention is also based on the object high flexibility in a production line with a manufacturing step for the introduction of hole cutouts in To achieve material webs and also provide them with inexpensive and simple means.

This object is achieved by the use of the manual cutting system described above for cutting out a material section from a material web to produce a perforated section in the course of the production of disposable surgical materials, in particular surgical covers, in particular patient covers and / or instrument covers, or combinations and / or Surgical clothing, especially surgical gowns.

The material web preferably comprises or consists of nonwoven fabric, film, nonwoven laminate, film laminate and / or nonwoven film laminate.

With this invention it has also been recognized that in manufacturing processes of disposable surgical materials, in which at least one hole cutout is to be introduced, the process steps known from the prior art are associated with disadvantages.

For this purpose, a method according to claim 14 is proposed, namely a method for the production of disposable surgical materials comprising the cutting out of a material section of a material web to form at least one hole cutout, characterized in that the cutting of the material section by a manual cutting operation using a manual cutting system is performed with a cutting template and a separate cutting tool with a rotatably mounted cutting blade.

By means of the manual cutting operation, the introduction of the desired hole cutout with regard to positioning of the hole cutout with respect to the material web, size and / or shape of the hole cutout can be carried out flexibly and thus also time efficiently. The disadvantages of the initially shown, often unwieldy and thus time-consuming and therefore costly additional necessary preparatory measures, such as replacing the punching blade or the lack of flexibility due to fully or semi-automated cutting operations can be avoided in a simple and cost-effective manner.

In a further development of the invention, the method comprises in particular the steps:
  • Providing a material web,
  • Placing the material web on a flat surface,
  • Placing the cutting template on the material web, wherein the cutting template has an inner wall which surrounds a recess,
  • Pressing the cutting tool onto the material web within the recess of the cutting template, wherein the cutting tool has a cutting blade rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis of rotation and a handle, and the handle is formed as a cylindrical grip sleeve surrounding the rotation axis with an outer wall,
  • Guiding the cutting tool in the direction and fully along the inner wall of the cutting template, wherein the inner wall of the cutting template forms a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve, so that the cutting blade cuts through the material web to form a material section to form the hole cutout.

The above-described features and advantageous embodiments of the manual cutting system or the cutting template and / or the cutting tool relate equally advantageous developments of the method according to the invention and are therefore taken at this point as advantageous embodiments of the method in relation.

The flat pad is preferably made of a cut-resistant material, such as glass or stainless steel plate. When processing intended for OP materials webs thus contamination, so u.a. be avoided in the form of erosion from the pad by the cutting blade.

Advantageously, the manual cutting system used in the method is available for a further manual cutting operation in the same and / or a further material web.

In a further development of the method, the material web passing through this process is manufactured by the manufacturer into an OP cover, in particular patient cover and / or instrument cover, and / or to a surgical clothing, in particular a surgical coat.

The webs of material presented in the method of cutting preferably comprise or consist of nonwoven, film, nonwoven laminate, film laminate and / or nonwoven film laminates.

For fixing the roller bearings 46, the grip sleeve 40 is provided in the interior 41 with projections 43. On these projections 43, the respective roller bearing, in particular each of the outer ring 50 is placed and thus kept at a distance. To protect against slipping, the rolling bearing 46a, 46b, in particular the respective inner ring 48 is held with a lock nut 58 at the upper end and a flared lower end 60 of the shaft. The outer ring 50 is thereby arranged accurately and firmly in the interior of the grip sleeve, and thereby only pressed without component-connecting agents, such as adhesives are used. The cutting blade 36 is advantageously detachably mounted at the lower end of the shaft, in particular by means of a wheel screw 62.

To the functionality of the manual cutting system, the separate components cutting template 10 and cutting tool 30 are coordinated so that the cutting blade 36 extends in a working position 106 over the lower end 44 of the grip sleeve 40 by the dimension B, in any case only so far out that the inner wall 12 of the cutting template 10 during cutting a stop 108 for the outer wall 42 of the grip sleeve can form what in the FIG. 3 as a schematic representation of the section plane II - II of FIG. 1 is indicated. In this case, at least 50% of the height of the inner wall of the cutting template 10 form a stop 108 for the outer wall 42 of the grip sleeve 40.

The grip sleeve 42 has an outer diameter D at a lower end. The cylindrical grip sleeve 42 thus forms a spacer in the working position The cutting or cutting line 110 has a distance A from the inner wall 12 of the cutting template 10, as in FIG FIG. 3 is shown.

In a cutting template with an oval recess of for example 23 x 11 cm and a cutting tool with an outer diameter D of 3 cm, the distance A is 1.5 cm. The material section to be cut out or the hole cutout obtained then have a size of 20 × 8 cm.

The cutting blade 36 is mounted on the shaft such that the tip 37 of the cutting blade 36 is not in alignment with the axis of rotation 34, but is offset from the axis of rotation. This allows the cutting blade to orient itself in the guide direction selected by the user.

Such a manual cutting system 1 with a cutting template 10 and a separate cutting tool 30 is used for cutting out a material cutout 102 from a material web 100 during the production of disposable surgical materials.

In FIG. 5 schematically the method for the production of disposable surgical materials with at least one hole cutout 104 is shown. After providing a material web 100 and placing this material web 100 on a flat surface 101, a manual cutting operation by means of a manual cutting system 1 is performed. For this purpose, the cutting template 10 is placed with a recess 14 on the material web 100, namely at the desired position for the later hole cutout 104. The separate cutting tool 30 with a about a rotational axis rotatably mounted cutting blade 36 is pressed within the recess 14 on the web. The gripping sleeve forming the handle 38, which also surrounds the axis of rotation, is guided during the cutting process in the direction and fully along the inner wall of the cutting template, which is indicated by the dashed line 109. In the working position 106 of the cutting blade 36 and thus also of the cutting tool, the inner wall of the cutting template thus forms a stop for the outer wall of the grip sleeve. By means of a cutting line 110 produced by the cutting blade, a material section 102 is separated from the material web 100, with the formation of the hole cutout 104. After such a cutting operation, the manually used one is used Cutting system for a further cutting operation in the same material web and / or another material web available.

In a development of the method, the material web 100 provided with at least one perforated cutout 104 is manufactured by the manufacturer to form an OP cover, in particular a patient and / or instrument cover, or a surgical clothing, in particular surgical coat.
