    the heating rods (14, 15) are arranged in rib-like channels (16) located on the rear or outer side of the cavity walls (4).
  8. Ironing machine according to claim 7,
    characterised in that
    at least two heating rods (14) and (15) are arranged in each rib.
  9. Ironing machine according to claims 1 to 8,
    characterised in that
    the heating rods (14, 15) can be manually activated as and when required.
