- The device according to Claim 1, in which the indexing means (2) comprises a stopper of internal form comprising at least one tooth (23) meshing with the toothed wheel (11) to block it in rotation with respect to the indexing means (2).
- The device according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, in which the toothed wheel (11) comprises a mark (12) intended to be placed opposite a reference mark (22) which is comprised by the indexing means (2).
- The device according to any one of the preceding claims, the extensions (24, 24') having a radial elasticity so as to be held on the fuel pump (1) under the effect of this elasticity.
- The device according to any one of the preceding claims, in which each extension (24, 24') is inserted in an orifice of the fuel pump intended to receive a mounting screw of the fuel pump (1) on an engine.
- A method for mounting a fuel pump on an internal combustion engine, characterized by the steps of:▪ provision of a device according to one of the preceding claims;▪ withdrawal of the indexing means (2);▪ assembly of the fuel pump (1) on the engine and of synchronous driving means of the toothed wheel.
