Description

The present invention relates to a luminaire with a luminaire housing and a transparent cover which closes the luminaire housing at a light exit side.

Lights of the type mentioned are used as indoor or outdoor lights, especially as wall or ceiling lights. Depending on the location, a moisture-proof or dust-tight seal between the housing and the transparent cover is often desirable for the protection of the lighting components. For example, wet room lights are known, which have on the outside of the housing knee lever locks to press the transparent cover to a peripheral edge on a seal on the housing. Due to the external closures such lights are often less aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, the toggle locks are relatively cumbersome to operate, because the fitter on the one hand must hold the cover of the housing and on the other hand, the toggle locks must close successively.

DE 20 2009 014 225 U1 discloses a luminaire housing with a holding element for holding a cover to the luminaire housing. The holding element comprises a spring leg, which rests against the outside of a lamp housing and extends partially into the lamp housing. On the inside of the luminaire housing, the spring element engages in a hook of the cover to hold them. The retaining element is attached to the outside of the lamp housing wall in a cutout.

EP 0 785 391 A1 discloses a device for attaching a cover to a lamp housing. The device comprises a spring element which is mounted in a section of the outer wall of a lamp housing and engages with a encompassing clip a lamp cover of a peripheral element to hold this.

US 3 446 955 A offenbart ein Leuchtengehäuse. US 3 446 955 A discloses a lamp housing. For mounting a grid spring element are attached to the frame of the grid, which are plugged into a lamp housing and cooperate with an opening within the lamp housing to hold the grid on a light exit surface of the lamp housing.

Object of the present invention is to provide a luminaire of the type mentioned, which is easier to handle and also a closed luminaire design, in particular without external fasteners allows.

The object is achieved by a lamp, in particular a lamp for lighting purposes for interiors or outdoor spaces, in particular ceiling recessed or surface-mounted, pendant, floor or wall lamp, with a lamp housing and an at least partially transparent cover, which is connected to side walls of the lamp housing to the To close the housing, wherein the cover has two or more hooks, which cooperate with closure elements on the housing, wherein the housing-side closure elements each comprise a spring element which extends from the side wall of the housing in the direction of the housing interior and cooperates with one of the hooks to the To hold cover on the housing, wherein the housing-side closure element from the inside of the housing in a section of the side wall is mountable.

The luminaire according to the invention has in particular an advantage that by the use of the spring element, an interaction of the housing-side closure elements with the hook on the cover is possible without a manual access to the closure elements is necessary. Therefore, the housing-side closure elements can be integrated with the spring element in the side wall of the housing, wherein the spring element facing inward. Access to the closure elements to close the lamp is not necessary.

According to a preferred embodiment, the closure element is formed separately from the housing and held in a section of the side wall. The closure element can be produced inexpensively in this way. Preferably, the closure element from the housing interior in the cutout of the side wall can be mounted. This has the advantage that in the manufacture of the lamp, the housing does not have to be rotated. In addition, the closure element can also be changed later from the inside of the luminaire, without it being necessary to disassemble a recessed luminaire to replace the closure element. According to further embodiments, it is preferred that it allows the arrangement of the closure element in the cutout of the side wall, on the spring element of the closure element from the outside, e.g. to open the latch, access.

According to a preferred embodiment, the closure element is formed from a single sheet-metal stamped part. As a sheet metal spring steel is used, which has the necessary elasticity for the spring element.

According to a preferred embodiment of said embodiment, the housing-side closure element is inserted into at least two, preferably four, slots in the housing wall. For example, the housing-side closure element in the form of a sheet-metal stamping part can have two or four hooks which are hooked into two or four slots, one or two on each side of a cut-out in the housing wall. At least four slots are preferred in order to prevent twisting or tilting of the closure element in the mounting position in the housing side wall. According to a preferred embodiment, the hooks of the closure element extend counter to a direction of the spring bias, ie the hooks of the closure element extend from the inside of the housing through the side wall to the outside. This allows the mounting of the closure element from the interior of the luminaire. Preferably, the undercuts of the hook in the sheet metal stamping part in the same direction as the insertion of the cover on the housing. As a result, the housing-side closure elements not pushed out of its mounting position in the housing side wall when inserting the transparent cover. Further, the housing-side closure element may have at least one or two, preferably opposite the housing side wall angled stops which abut an edge of the housing side wall when the housing-side closure element is moved when removing the cover from the housing in the direction of the cover.

According to a preferred embodiment, the spring element has at least one stop, which bears against an outer wall of the housing side wall. By the stop a defined bias of the spring is adjusted in the direction of the spring travel for cooperation with the hook of the cover.

According to a preferred embodiment, the closure element is inserted in a section of the side wall. Preferably, the cutout above the spring element on the side facing the cover against the spring element is cut out so far, so that an insertion of the closure element and a displacement of the closure element with undercut hooks in the above-mentioned slots in the side wall is made possible. It is advantageous that the closure element, although parts of it also have from the side wall facing out, can be completely mounted from the inside. For this purpose, the cutout in the side wall is widened above the spring element on the side facing the cover by the height of the undercut of the hooks of the closure element relative to the spring element.

According to a preferred embodiment, the cutout in the side wall above the spring element on the side facing the cover is cut out by at least 12 mm with respect to the spring element, so that it is possible to reach through the side wall for detecting the spring element. In this embodiment, from the outside through the side wall, the spring element can be engaged to release the lock between the hook and the spring element to remove the transparent cover from the lamp.

According to a preferred embodiment, the spring element on a run-on slope, which cooperates with the hook during insertion of the cover to deflect the spring element along a spring travel in the direction against the hook. In this embodiment, the cover can be inserted into the housing without gripping the Spring element for locking the cover is necessary. The cover engages independently on all hooks in the associated closure elements.

According to a preferred embodiment, one or two insertion webs are provided laterally next to the spring element, which facilitate the positioning of the respective hook of the cover on the spring element for locking the hook.

According to a preferred embodiment, the spring element has a recessed edge, which rests in the mounted state of the cover on an edge of the hook. This ensures a latching connection between the hook and the spring element, which counteracts a removal of the cover from the housing. According to a preferred embodiment of this embodiment, the edge of the spring element and / or the hook with the side wall forms an angle, measured on the side facing away from the cover, of more than 90 °. In this embodiment, a disassembly of the cover against the Einschiebbewegung of the hook is possible in the closure element, because the obtuse angle between the latched edges allows an independent spring back of the spring element when a force is exerted on the transparent cover against the insertion movement. By the exact choice of the angle, the force necessary to disassemble the cover can be adjusted. At an angle that is very close to 90 °, the force to pull off the cover is relatively high. At blunt angles, the force to disassemble the cover is correspondingly lower.

According to a preferred embodiment, the position of the closure element in the housing defines the depth stop of the cover. For example, an edge of one or two of the aforementioned guide webs of the closure element can serve as a depth stop for the cover. This embodiment has the advantage that the mounting position of the cover is defined independently of the spring force of the spring element.

According to a preferred embodiment, an elastic seal is provided between an edge of the cover and the side wall of the housing. A gasket is squeezed between the edge of the cover and the side wall of the housing. This not only serves to seal, but can also ensure, by the frictional force between the edge of the cover and the side wall of the housing, that the forces for pulling off the cover from the closure element are increased.

Referring to FIG. 1 a transparent cover 2 of a luminaire according to an embodiment of the invention is shown. The transparent cover 2 is formed by a substantially flat plate, which is made of a transparent plastic, in particular PMMA. The cover 2 has on the housing (in the Figures 1 and 2 not shown) side facing a circumferential edge, at which point towards the housing several hooks 4 connect. The hooks 4, which are formed integrally with the cover, serve to lock the cover 2 with a lamp housing. More specifically, the hooks 4 are for connection to housing-side shutter members 6 integrated in a cutout of a side wall 8 of the housing, as in FIG FIG. 3 , which shows a section of a housing side wall 8, is shown.

Each of the hooks 4 has a run-on slope 10 and a recessed edge 12, which cooperate with a spring element 14 of the closure element 6 in order to form a frictional connection between the hook 4 and the spring element 14.

The spring element 14 of the closure element 6 also has a run-on slope 16, which corresponds approximately to the angle of the run-on slope 10 relative to the side wall 8. Further, the spring element 14 has a recessed edge 18, which occupies about the same angle relative to the side wall 8 as the recessed edge 12 of the hook 4. To indentation of the cover to the housing by the contact of the run-on slope 10 with the run-on slope 16, the spring element 14 deflected from the inside of the housing to the outside until the recessed edge 18 of the spring element 14 engages over the edge 12 of the hook 4. The latched in the spring element 14 hook 4 is in a cross section in FIG. 5 shown.

The closure element 6 is made of a single sheet metal stamping made of a spring steel. It is fastened in a cutout in the side wall 8 of the luminaire housing. As in the Figures 3 and 4 is shown, the side wall 8 a cutout 20 which is adapted to the shape of the spring element 14. Four slots 22 and 23 are also formed laterally to the cutout 20, wherein the lower slots 23 have a wedge-shaped cutout for easier insertion of the closure element 6. The closure element 6 has four, made of a simple sheet metal hook 24 (see FIG. 5 ), with which the closure element is inserted into the slots 22. Preferably, the undercut of the hook 24 in a direction which faces away from the cover 4. As a result, when the cover 4 is engaged in the closure elements 6, the closure element is not moved out of a mounting position of the side wall 8. The lower of the two hooks 24 have an outwardly directed V-shaped portion 25 (perpendicular to the image plane of FIG. 4 ), wherein the V-shaped portion 25 surrounds the side wall 8 from both sides to stabilize the closure member. The V-shaped portions 25 can be inserted in both slots 23, since the slots 23 have a wedge-shaped cutout.

The closure element 6 also has two angled sheet metal tongues 28, which by a fold (from the image plane of FIG. 4 out) define a stop against an inwardly projecting edge of the cutout 20 when the lower portion of the closure member 6 is twisted by the action of the deflected spring member. By the sheet metal tongues 28 disengagement of the spring element against the insertion movement of the hook 24 is prevented in the slots 22.

Furthermore, the closure element 6 has two sheet metal tongues 30, which serve as lateral guide webs 30 for engaging the hook 4. The sheet metal tongues 30 point from the closure element 6 in the side wall 8 in the direction of the inside of the housing. If, during insertion of the cover 2, the hooks 4 are not exactly aligned with the housing-side closure elements 6, the hooks 4 are guided laterally in the direction of the spring element 14 by the guide webs 30. At the same time, the edge of the two sheet metal tongues 20 facing the cover defines the depth stop of the cover. It is advantageous that the depth stop and the spring element 14 are integrally formed in the closure element 6 in order to exclude manufacturing tolerances. Such tolerances can lead to an undefined adhesion between the spring element 14 and the hook 4.

The spring element 14 also has two lateral sheet metal tongues 32, which rest on the outside of the housing side wall 8 adjacent to the cutout 20 (see FIGS. 4 and the cross section after FIG. 6 ). By this stop 32, a defined bias of the spring element 14 is specified. Thereby, the force necessary for engaging the cover-side hook 4 in the shutter member 6 is defined.

As in FIG. 5 are shown, the recessed edges 12 and 18 of the closure member 6 are arranged at an angle to the side wall 8, which is slightly greater than 90 ° (on the side facing away from the cover in the cross section FIG. 5 measured). Through this angle, a disengagement of the cover 2 is possible. However, the force to disengage the cover 2 is much higher than for engagement, because the angle relative to the side wall 8 compared to the run-on slopes 10 and 16 is much closer to 90 °. By the stop 32 on the housing wall, which limits the tension of the spring element, the force is also defined, which is necessary for engagement or disengagement of the hook in or out of the spring element 14.

Further, the cutout 20 is as in FIG FIG. 4 shown above the spring element 14 so far cut over the upper edge, so that the closure element can be inserted from the inside into the cutout with the hooks 24 in the slots and can be moved down. Although the spring element 14 is movable from outside to inside through the side wall, it is still possible to mount the closure element 6 only from the inside of the housing. According to one embodiment, the cutout is above the Spring element even so large that a passing through the side wall 8 from the outside is possible to take the spring element 14 at its upper edge of the run-on slope 16 and deflect outwards. As a result, the detent connection between the hook 4 and the spring element 14 can be released manually in order to disassemble the cover 2.

Preferably, a circumferential seal 34 is provided on the edge of the cover 2, wherein the seal 34 in the assembled state of the cover 2 between the side wall 8 and the cover 2 inserts. The seal 34 seals the gap between the cover 2 and the side wall 8. Furthermore, the seal has the advantage that it increases the frictional force between the cover 2 and the side wall 8. As a result, the cover is held not only by the spring force of the closure element 6, but also by the frictional force which causes the seal between the peripheral edge of the cover 2 and the housing side wall 8.

Numerous modifications of the preferred embodiment described above are possible within the scope of the invention, which is defined by the claims. In particular, the geometry of the housing-side closure element can be changed. Four hooks 22 are not necessarily provided for attaching the closure member to the side wall but, for example, the closure member may also be secured in the side wall by other fasteners (e.g., rivets or screws).

Also the shape of the cover 2, as in FIG. 1 shown, may vary. For example, the concept can also be transferred to trough lamps, which have an approximately trough-shaped transparent cover.
