Definitions
- the present invention relates to the non-load bearing outer skin, vertical or substantially vertical, of a structure, commonly called cladding.
- the present invention is more particularly relating to a metal cladding mainly consisting of ribbed sheets.
- the present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned problems by providing a metal cladding to obtain an aesthetic facade, without noise nuisance, removable but making disassembly inadvertent or theft more difficult.
- the supporting structure 1 is of the beam-beam type. It can be based on concrete, steel or wood. This supporting structure 1 is covered with cladding boards 2 preferably made from galvanized or galvanized steel sheet prepainted. A thermal insulation 3, of the glass wool type, is unrolled in front of the cladding boards 2 and possibly in the plates 2. A metal intermediate frame consisting of a network of sections 4, arranged vertically or obliquely, serves as support for the cladding. metal 5 according to the invention.
- This cladding consists mainly of ribbed sheets with alternating ranges and grooves. Although the cladding is substantially vertical, it can be placed so that the grooves are arranged, for example, vertically or horizontally depending on the desired aesthetic effect. Throughout the text, cladding laid horizontally, respectively vertically, cladding for which the grooves of the ribbed sheet are arranged horizontally, respectively vertically.
- the metal cladding 5 is here mainly composed of an assembly of ribbed sheets 6, clips 7 and covers 8.
- the ribbed plate 6, for example galvanized steel prepainted has alternating ranges 9 and grooves 10.
- the grooves 10 may be trapezoidal shape, as in the case of this example, or rectangular, wavy, sinusoidal or omega.
- the beaches 9 comprise at their end a recess 11. The latter makes it possible to limit the runoff of the rainwater into the groove when the cladding 5 is laid horizontally, the drops of water tending to fall out of cladding at Step 11 rather than flowing along the siding 5.
- the ribbed plate can be fixed to the network of profiles 4 via a fastener 12, such as a self-drilling or self-tapping screw or a pop rivet.
- a fastener 12 such as a self-drilling or self-tapping screw or a pop rivet.
- the metal cladding 5 also consists of clips 7, inserted in the grooves 10 and fixed by means of the fastener 12.
- the clip 7 is preferably austenitic stainless steel in order to reconcile a good resistance to corrosion and a good flexibility necessary to the clip operation. It consists, first of all, of a base 13 which, preferably, matches the shape of the groove 10, thus avoiding the rotation of the clip in the groove when it is put in place. Preferably, the base 13 is covered with a seal 14, for example neoprene, to prevent the penetration of water between the groove 10 and the clip 7.
- the clip 7 also consists of two branches 15 on either side of the base 13. The branches 15 are symmetrical and arranged so as to form at least one narrowed area 16 and at least one enlarged area 17. Their function will be described later.
- the narrowed zone 16 and the enlarged zone 17 are preferably formed with sinusoidal branches 15 and may be placed in any order.
- the metal cladding 5 also consists of covers 8.
- covers 8 are profiles, preferably made from prepainted galvanized or galvanized steel sheets, although they can be made for example from aluminum, plastic or wood. They comprise a hat 18 and two branches 19.
- the hat 18 has a section of varied shape depending on the desired aesthetic effect, as illustrated in FIG. figure 3 .
- the branches are symmetrical and arranged so as to form at least one narrowed zone 20 and at least one enlarged zone 21, these two zones being of shapes and dimensions substantially equivalent respectively to the narrowed zone 16 and to the widened zone 17 of the clip 7
- the branches may be present on the entire section or on the contrary discontinuously, for example only where the cover will be clipped.
- the cap 18 and the two branches 19 can either consist of a single piece or consist of separate parts fixed to each other so as to form the cover.
- Each cover 8 comes to engage at least at each of its ends on, or in, at least two clips 7, previously attached to the ribbed plate 6.
- the interlocking, or clipping is achieved by the contacting of the narrowed area 16 of the clip 7 and the narrowed area 20 of the cover 8, the cover 8 can be fitted into the clip 7 or vice versa.
- Two clips are enough to maintain a hood. However, in order to improve the behavior of the cover, it will be preferable to use more than two clips arranged at regular intervals along the groove 10.
- the cladding 5 When the cladding 5 is laid horizontally, it will preferably be made regularly spaced holes at the lower end of the cap 18 of the cover so as to avoid stagnation of the water on the rear face of the hood in the event that the water does not. would not have been deflected by the recess 11 of the ribbed sheet 6.
- the metal cladding 5 further comprises at least one puck 22.
- the puck 22 is preferably of substantially parallelepipedal shape, its length being preferably adapted to the length of the clip 7 and its width and thickness being adapted so that that the puck gets stuck either in the wider area 17 clip 7 is in the enlarged area 21 of the cover 8, depending if the cover is fitted respectively on the clip or in the clip.
- the puck 22 is a rectangular parallelepiped.
- the corners of the puck 22 are slightly beveled.
- the pallet 22 can be for example wood, PVC or galvanized steel or galvanized prepainted.
- Puck 22 The role and implementation of Puck 22 will be better understood in the description of Figures 4a to 4c , 5a and 5b .
- a cover 8 is firstly fitted at one of its ends in a clip 7, previously fixed in a groove 10, so that the end of the cover is located substantially in the middle of the clip.
- a puck 22 is inserted into the enlarged zone 21 of the cover 8.
- This puck becomes wedged in the enlarged zone 21 and thus prevents the relative movement of the cover 8 with respect to the clip 7.
- the bevels made at the corner of the puck 22 facilitate the insertion operation.
- the puck thus jammed is in contact with the cover 8 preventing the inadvertent declipping of the cover by bringing the two branches 19 closer together, as illustrated in detail in FIG. figure 5a .
- the puck is then inserted into the enlarged area 17 of the clip 7. It then prevents the inadvertent declipping of the hood by bringing the two branches 15 of the clip 7 closer together, as illustrated in detail in FIG. figure 5b .
- the cover adjacent to the cover 8 placed is engaged at one of its ends in the clip 7 by light pressure on the upper and lower ends of the cap 18 so that the branches 19 of the cover are inserted between the puck and the branches 15 of the clip.
- the bevels made at the corner of the puck 22 facilitate this insertion operation.
- the palettes visible at the ends of the cladding are preferably covered with corner pieces so as to hide them and thus prevent their removal and inadvertent disassembly of metal cladding according to the invention.
- the sinusoidal shape of the branches 15 and 19 is the shape that best favors the reversibility of the clipping of the cover 8.
- the declipping is no longer possible. This combines the advantages of a reversible system and an irreversible system. This makes it easy to change damaged portions, temporarily removing the corresponding pallets to the damaged portions and made temporarily accessible, while preventing the accidental unclipping of the cover 8 when the shuffles are in place.
- the puck 22 preventing the relative movement of the cover 8 relative to the clip 7, any vibratory movement of the cover 8 is minimized or even made impossible. This greatly reduces the vibration of the hood 8 under the effect of wind and associated noise.

The supporting
This cladding consists mainly of ribbed sheets with alternating ranges and grooves.
The ribbed plate can be fixed to the network of
The
However, in order to improve the behavior of the cover, it will be preferable to use more than two clips arranged at regular intervals along the
The

When mounting the metal cladding according to the invention, the palettes visible at the ends of the cladding are preferably covered with corner pieces so as to hide them and thus prevent their removal and inadvertent disassembly of metal cladding according to the invention.
It has been found that the sinusoidal shape of the
Furthermore, the
