Definitions
- the invention relates to a system with at least two profile rails and a connecting element for connecting two profile rails.
- the invention also relates to a lighting system with the system and at least one semiconductor light source.
- the invention also relates to a light box (“light box”) with the lighting system.
- light boxes or light boxes i.e. lighting devices that are mostly closed on all sides and intended to emit flat light, e.g. for backlighting information signs or billboards
- There are different types of lighting for light boxes including one-sided backlighting, two-sided backlighting or side lighting (e.g. from left and / or right and / or below and / or above) by coupling light into the air space of the light boxes from the side.
- the lateral illumination can in particular comprise one-sided to four-sided illumination.
- these lamps are stretched through the associated light box and can typically illuminate glasses, acrylic glasses and stretching cloths, which are combined on the front with a specially printed advertising film.
- To mount the neon and fluorescent lamps they are attached to the outer walls of the frame with a socket system.
- light can also be coupled into a light box from the side.
- the light sources (partly with a reflector system) are attached to the side in the frames of the light box. These light sources couple the light from outside into the air space in the direction of the center of the box.
- the frames and back walls of the poster boxes are usually matt white lacquered to distribute the light evenly and homogeneously and to couple it to the front.
- LED modules are also known as light sources, the LED modules being individually fastened, e.g. screwed, to the frames or to a rear wall of the light box.
- the US 2010/0214770 A1 shows a light rail system for mounting, for example, under kitchen cupboards, in which light modules can be accommodated in a receiving space delimited by the bottom wall and the side walls.
- the US201 / 226125 A1 and the WO88 / 10396 A1 also show a light rail system with a profile rail.
- the object is achieved by a system with at least two profile rails and a connecting element for connecting at least two profile rails with at least one bottom wall and two side walls extending from the bottom wall on opposite sides, the profile rails for form-fitting and / or force-fitting accommodation of at least one light module in one of the bottom wall and the side walls are set up, with cable tie recesses arranged in a regular longitudinal pattern in at least one of the two side walls, the connecting element having a bottom wall and two side walls extending from the bottom wall on opposite sides, the walls forming a profile that Connecting element for receiving at least one profile rail in a receiving space delimited by the bottom wall and the side walls is set up and the connecting element has latching elements arranged on at least one wall in a regular longitudinal pattern for latching with a received profile rail, the latching elements being designed as latching projections arranged on the side walls, directed towards the receiving space for the profile rail and designed for latching at least one of the Cable tie recesses of the profile rail are designed and arranged.
- the light modules no longer need to be screwed, riveted or glued directly to the body to be illuminated, but the light modules can simply be inserted into the profile rail by which they are held. In this way, assembly of the light modules can be considerably simplified, in particular if several light modules are to be used in a common profile rail.
- the result is a particularly flexible and possibly also easily changeable positioning of the light modules, e.g. by moving or repositioning them in the same profile rail or in a different profile rail.
- a luminance and / or a luminous distribution within the body to be illuminated, in particular a light box can be easily set. It has been shown that such a sheet metal thickness represents a particularly good compromise between sufficient elastic flexibility and sufficient mechanical stability.
- Another advantage is that a particularly simple combination of profile rails is achieved, with a flexibly adjustable but well-defined distance.
- the distance, in particular the locking distance, is maintained automatically.
- the cable tie recesses can thus also be used as locking recesses for locking the connecting element serve, which facilitates manufacture and improves structural stability.
- cable tie recesses arranged in a regular longitudinal pattern are made in at least one of the two side walls, electrical connecting lines between two lighting modules inserted in the profile rail can be fixed at regular intervals, for example by inserting a cable tie through a cable tie recess is performed, includes the connecting lines and lashes them to the profile rail.
- electrical supply lines e.g. from a ballast or driver
- the cable tie recesses can also be used to feed through tools (screwdriver, ejector tool, etc.), e.g. to eject a light module that has already been inserted.
- the at least one light module can be detachably connected to the profile rail.
- the at least one light module can be permanently connected to the profile rail.
- the profile rail can in particular be a longitudinal rail extending in a straight line in a longitudinal direction.
- the profile rail can in particular be provided for fastening in a light box (light box profile rail).
- the walls form a U-shaped profile or the profile rail is a profile rail with a U-shaped profile, which enables simple production and use.
- the profile can be, for example, trapezoidal (with inwardly sloping side walls) etc.
- the profile rail has holding elements or holding elements arranged in a regular longitudinal pattern for the form-fitting and / or force-fitting reception of the at least one lighting module on at least one wall.
- the at least one light module can be fastened precisely in or on the profile rail in defined position steps using simple means.
- the at least one light module can in particular have at least one counter-locking element that matches one of the locking elements in order to utilize the locking possibility.
- the regular longitudinal pattern can in particular be or comprise a row with a regular grid spacing (“light source grid spacing”, “pitch” or “pitch spacing”).
- the retaining elements in particular latching elements, are designed as projections protruding into the receiving space and / or as recesses (cutouts or recesses).
- the at least one light module can then in particular have at least one latching recess and / or at least one latching projection.
- Such mounting elements are particularly easy to implement.
- the holding elements can be incorporated, for example, in the bottom wall and / or in one or both side walls.
- projections in particular latching lugs, can be introduced in both side walls, in particular at the same height.
- these retaining elements can be locking recesses, for example circular hole-shaped or elongated hole-shaped cutouts or recesses shaped in this way (for example bulges).
- recesses or projections, in particular lugs can be made in the bottom wall.
- screw holes arranged in a regular longitudinal pattern are made in at least one of the two side walls.
- the screw holes can be used for screwing or for other types of fastening, e.g. riveting, and thus represent in particular general fastening holes.
- the profile rail can not only be used for fastening light modules, but also for mounting other profile rails.
- the profile rails can thus assume a double function as a holder for the light modules and as a mounting rail or mounting support for other profile rails. This simplifies storage and assembly and enables cheaper production.
- the use of pairs of screw holes reduces the risk of waste when separating or assembling in the area of the screw holes.
- profile rails also as mounting rails enables one-sided and two-sided alignment of the profile rails fitted with the light modules (and thus also the light modules), in particular for one-sided or two-sided backlighting of a light box.
- the two-sided alignment in which at least one profile rail equipped with light modules is aligned in one direction and at least one other profile rail is aligned in the opposite direction
- the two-sided alignment is configured in the same way (and, if necessary, with their functional elements such as cable tie recesses, screw holes, etc., longitudinally offset from one another) Side walls supported.
- fastening recesses which are provided for fastening the profile rail, are made in the bottom wall.
- the fastening recesses can in particular be screw holes for the implementation of screw threads.
- the profile rails For example, the back of the bottom wall (which faces away from the side walls) can be attached to a suitable body, in particular screwed.
- the body can, for example, be a wall, in particular a frame, of a light box.
- the body can, however, also be a different profile rail, with the screw being able to be tightened on one of the screw holes in the other profile rail.
- the screw holes are preferably longitudinal holes aligned in the longitudinal direction of the profile rail.
- Another embodiment is that identical groups each with at least one mounting element, a cable tie recess and a screw hole, in particular a pair of screw holes, are introduced in at least one of the two side walls in a regular longitudinal pattern.
- the groups are introduced into both side walls in the same regular longitudinal pattern and the groups on the two sides are offset from one another by half a grid spacing. This enables a more refined assembly of the profile rails (e.g. by sawing off or similar) without loss of functionality.
- the profile rails are made of aluminum sheet. This enables effective heat dissipation from the light module used at comparatively low costs.
- the profile rail is not limited to this and can, for example, also consist of another metal (copper, steel, etc.) or of plastic.
- the profile rails are arranged one behind the other.
- a width of the receiving space of the connecting element (distance between the opposing inner surfaces of the side walls) preferably corresponds essentially to a width of the profile rail (distance between the outer surfaces of the side walls) for the matching reception.
- the locking projections can be tabs introduced by punching, casting or cutting, for example.
- the connecting element can for example be made of metal, in particular aluminum, or plastic.
- a light module with at least one semiconductor light source is suitable for use in the light rail, whereby (a) the light module is provided and set up for receiving in the receiving space of the profile rail, (b) the at least one semiconductor light source is directed out of an open side of the receiving space and ( c) the light module has recesses and / or projections that match the projections and / or recesses of the profile rail. In this way, a light module that can be fastened to the profile rail in a particularly simple and durable manner can be provided.
- the recesses and / or projections matching the projections and / or recesses of the profile rail can include, for example, lateral longitudinal grooves, in particular continuous longitudinal grooves, in order to enter into a defined press fit with one or more projections of the profile rail.
- This press fit does not need to be latching, so that the light module (possibly even after its use) can be continuously displaced into the profile rail in the longitudinal direction of the profile rail.
- the longitudinal groove prevents the lighting module from loosening from the profile rail or from bending open or the like of the profile rail.
- projections and / or recesses that enable a locking connection can also be provided here, for example spaced apart, in particular in one regular pattern or spaced-apart recesses for engagement with locking projections of the profile rail.
- the at least one semiconductor light source preferably comprises at least one light-emitting diode. If there are several light-emitting diodes, they can light up in the same color or in different colors. A color can be monochrome (e.g. red, green, blue, etc.) or multichrome (e.g. white).
- the light emitted by the at least one light-emitting diode can also be an infrared light (IR-LED) or an ultraviolet light (UV-LED).
- IR-LED infrared light
- UV-LED ultraviolet light
- Several light emitting diodes can produce a mixed light; e.g. a white mixed light.
- the at least one light-emitting diode can contain at least one wavelength-converting phosphor (conversion LED).
- the at least one light-emitting diode can be in the form of at least one individually housed light-emitting diode or in the form of at least one LED chip.
- Several LED chips can be mounted on a common substrate (“submount”).
- the at least one light-emitting diode can be equipped with at least one dedicated and / or shared optics for beam guidance, for example with at least one lens with an elliptical light distribution (in particular for lateral irradiation) or a so-called "bat-wing" distribution (in particular for a Backlighting), with at least one Fresnel lens, at least one collimator, and so on.
- organic LEDs e.g. polymer OLEDs
- the at least one semiconductor light source can have at least one diode laser, for example.
- a lighting system having a system as described above and at least one lighting module inserted into the at least one profile rail with at least one semiconductor light source, in particular as described above, wherein (a) the at least one lighting module each has several with a substantially constant Light source grid spacing in series arranged semiconductor light sources has, (b) the cable tie recesses of the profile rail are arranged in series with an essentially constant grid spacing and (c) the light source grid spacing (“pitch”), e.g.
- a grid spacing between semiconductor light sources can also be maintained with a plurality of light modules with flexible positioning at the same time and a dual function of the profile rails can be achieved, which enables easier storage and assembly as well as inexpensive production.
- the object is also achieved by a light box with at least one system as described above or with a lighting system as described above.

- the profile rail 1 is made from an approximately 1 mm thick aluminum sheet, e.g. by punching and bending.
- the bottom wall 2 and the side walls 3a, 3b delimit a receiving space 4.
- the bottom wall 2 has a plurality of longitudinal holes 5 extending in the middle in the direction of the longitudinal axis L.
- the longitudinal holes 5 are arranged in a straight row and have the same spacing and grid spacing from one another.
- the longitudinal holes 5 serve as fastening recesses for fastening the profile rail 1, for example in a light box.
- Means of the longitudinal holes 5, the profile rail 1 can, for example, be screwed on, the longitudinal holes allowing a limited longitudinal displacement of the profile rail 1 for more precise positioning when the screw (s) have not yet been tightened or tightened.
- Both side walls 3 a, 3 b each have a plurality of elongated retaining projections 6 extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis L, in the direction of the other side wall 3 a, 3 b and thus in the receiving space 4.
- the holding projections 6 have the same grid spacing.
- the holding projections 6 have an elongated shape.
- the holding projections can, for example, have been produced from the aluminum sheet by forming, for example by bending sheet metal.
- a light module 7 inserted into the receiving space 4 can be held, for example continuously longitudinally displaceable or latched in the longitudinal direction.
- the holding projections 6 can also bring about a positive fit perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L in order to hold the light module 7 in the receiving space 4.
- Both side walls 3a, 3b also each have a plurality of rectangular cutouts extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis L, which are called cable tie cutouts 8 in the following.
- Cable ties for attaching cables etc. to the profile rail can be pulled through the cable tie recesses 8, or at least one electrical line, for example a power supply, to at least one light module 7 (see e.g. Fig. 6 ) to be pulled.
- the cable tie recesses 8 can also be used as latching recesses, for example for a light module and / or a connecting element in the form of a connecting piece 10 (see, for example, FIG Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 ).
- the cable tie recesses 8 can also be used to pass tools (screwdriver, ejector, etc.) can be used, for example to eject a light module 7 that has already been received.
- Both side walls 3a, 3b also each have a plurality of pairs of screw holes 9 extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L (vertically on the side walls 3a, 3b).
- a further profile rail 1 can be attached to this profile rail 1, for example by screwing through a longitudinal hole 5 of the further profile rail 1 and a screw hole 9 of this profile rail 1.
- This profile rail 1 can be used as a mounting base or mounting rail for the serve further rail 1.
- the functional elements of the side walls 3a, 3b namely the retaining projections 6, the cable tie cutouts 8 and the screw holes 9, have the same grid spacing and can therefore also be used as a group of a retaining projection 6, a cable tie cutout 8 and a pair of screw holes arranged in this grid spacing 9 can be viewed.
- the functional elements 6, 8, 9 are arranged identically relative to one another on both side walls 3a, 3b, but offset by half a grid spacing along the longitudinal axis L with respect to the respective other side wall 3a or 3b.
- Fig. 4 shows the connection piece 10 for connecting two profile rails, for example the profile rails 1, in an oblique view.

- the connecting piece 10 is also designed as a U-shaped profile rail and has a bottom wall 11 and two side walls 12a, 12b extending from the bottom wall 11 on opposite sides.
- the connecting piece 10 serves to accommodate at least one profile rail (not shown) in a receiving space 13 delimited by the bottom wall 11 and the side walls 12a, 12b Latching elements 14 for locking with a profile rail received therein.
- the latching elements 14 are present here as tabs protruding into the receiving space 13.
- the latching elements 14 have the same arrangement pattern as the cable tie recesses 8 of the profile rail 1, so that the latching elements 14 can be brought into engagement with the cable tie recesses 8, which then also serve as latching recesses.
- the distance d1 between the inner sides of the side walls 12a, 12b corresponds approximately to a total width of the profile rails 1.
- fastening holes 15 arranged in a regular row for fastening, in particular screwing, a profile rail 1 to the connecting piece 10, e.g. by means of a screw passed through a longitudinal hole 5 of the profile rail 1 and screwed to the fastening hole 15.

- Three light-emitting diodes 18 with a fixed light source grid spacing (“pitch” or “pitch spacing”) are applied to the printed circuit board 17 and can be supplied with power by means of a continuous electrical cable 19.
- the light-emitting diodes 18 are each followed by an optical system 20 for a suitable configuration, in particular homogenization of a light beam emitted by the light-emitting diodes 18.
- the optics 20 can thus in particular have a collimation function.
- the housing 16 can be covered by means of a cover 21 and by means of side walls 22.
- the light source grid spacing (e.g. 110 mm or 165 mm) corresponds to a multiple of the grid spacing of the cable tie openings (e.g. 55 mm).
- the housing 16 has straight longitudinal grooves 25 on its side walls 24 that extend continuously along a longitudinal extension of the lighting module 7.
- the longitudinal grooves 25 serve for engagement with the holding projections 6, allow the light module 7 to be displaced along a longitudinal axis L (in both directions) and prevent the light module 7 from becoming detached from the profile rail 1 in the z direction.
- rows of locking recesses e.g. locking recesses, which are aligned in the longitudinal direction and which lead to the holding projections 6.
- Fig.7 shows in an oblique view a frontally open light box 26 with profile rails 1 and light modules 7 fastened to its side walls or frames 27, specifically in a four-sided lateral fastening (top, bottom, left and right).
- Fig. 8 shows in a front view a sketch of the light box 26. As in FIG Fig. 8 As shown, the light modules 7 (here: elliptical) radiate laterally into the space of the light box 26.
- a profile rail 1 is attached to each frame 27, for example by screwing through the longitudinal holes 5. While four light modules 1 are latched into the profile rails 1 of the side frames 27 (in particular are snapped into place), the lower frame 27 and the upper Frame 27 three light modules 7 used in each case.
- a ballast 28 is typically also present in the light box 26 (see FIG Fig. 8 ) in order to supply the light modules 7 with an electrical signal (current, voltage, etc.).
- the ballast can be electrically connected to the light modules 7 via a suitable power line.
- Fig. 9 shows in an oblique view a frontally open light box 29 with profile rails 1 in a one-sided fastening Backlighting.
- this light box 29 six profile rails 1 are mounted vertically on a rear side 30 of the light box 29, in particular screwed, for backlighting the front side.
- Three light modules, for example light modules 7, are inserted into each of the profile rails 1.
- Fig. 10 shows in an oblique view a frontally open light box 31 with the profile rails 1 in a fastening for two-sided backlighting.
- twelve light profiles 1, each with three light modules 7, are housed vertically or vertically in the light box 31, of which six profile rails 1 point to the front of the light box 31 and six profile rails 1 point opposite to the back of the light box 31. In this way, both the front and the rear of the light box 31 can be backlit.
- a further profile rail 1 is mounted on the lower frame 27 and on the upper frame 27 over their length, e.g. screwed onto them.
- These further profile rails 1 are used to fasten a respective end of the vertical profile rails 1 carrying the light modules 7.
- the profile rails 1 carrying the light modules 7 are screwed through their longitudinal hole 5 to one of the screw holes 9 of the further profile rails.
- An assembly can thus use a uniform workpiece, namely the profile rails 1, both for assembling other profile rails 1 and for holding the light modules 7.
- a one-sided backlighting arrangement can also have the further profile rails 1.
- At least one further profile rail can be used as a mounting rail in order to variably set a distance to a surface to be illuminated, and consequently a luminosity and a homogeneity distribution on this surface can.
