Claims (11)

  1. A pneumatic launching device (1) for launching a projectile (9) requiring to be armed by firing pulse, the device comprising at least one launching tube (10) for receiving the projectile (9) and a compressor (3) for supplying a primary tank (2) with pressurized gas, the primary tank (2) supplying in turn with pressurized gas, and via a first valve (7), a secondary tank (6) which is connected to the tube (10) via a rapid expansion means (13), the launching device being configured to supply the secondary tank (6) at a fixed pressure, the secondary tank (6) further comprising an opening (17) having substantially the same diameter as the launching tube (10), the launching tube (10) being directly positioned facing the opening (17), characterized in that the tank is provided with means (6a, 6b, 6c) allowing to change its inner volume (V) before the pressurization so as to obtain the desired range for the projectile (9), the rapid expansion means (13) comprises a plug (51) for closing the tube (10), which can be made integral with the rear part of the projectile (9) and which can be connected to the tube (10) by a release locking means (43).
  2. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the secondary tank (2) encloses a movable piston (6b) the movement of which allows to change the inner volume (V) of the secondary tank (2).
  3. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the movement of the piston (6b) is controlled by a driving means.
  4. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the locking means (43) comprises at least one obstacle (52) arranged within a radial hole (54) of the tube (10) and comprising one end engaged against a surface of the closing means (51), the obstacle (52) being held in a locking position by a sliding ring (63) surrounding the tube (10).
  5. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the ring (63) comprises an inner groove (64) in which the obstacle (62) in an unlocking position can be accommodated.
  6. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to one of claims 4 or 5, characterized in that the ring (63) is integral with a flange ring (44) which slides on the tube (10) and abuts against a shoulder (47) of the tube in the locking position, a spring (45) being interposed between the ring (63) and the shoulder (47) to hold the ring in the locking position.
  7. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the plug (51) comprises a rear part (55a) with a diameter substantially equal to that of the tube (10), as well as a front part (55b) with a reduced diameter, intended to be accommodated within a tail (9a) of the projectile (9).
  8. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 7, characterized in that the plug (51) comprises an axial bore (59) in which a bar (57) is intended to slide, the bar (57) comprising a bulge (58) and the sliding of the bar (57) allowing to place the bulge (58) out of the front part (55b) or facing one split end (62) of the front part (55b) to cause the expansion thereof.
  9. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that the bar (57) comprises a groove (66) which, during the sliding of the bar (57), can be positioned facing the end (62) of the front part (55b), the bulge (58) being then out of the front part (55b) of the plug (51) the expansion of which is no longer maintained.
  10. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claim 9, characterized in that the plug (51) comprises an axial bore (59) extended at the rear part (55a) by a counterbore (60) intended to let a pressure plate (56), integral with one end of the bar (57), slide.
  11. The pneumatic launching device (1) according to claims 1 to 10, characterized in that it comprises at least two tubes (10a,10b) parallel and symmetric with respect to a pivot (14) parallel to the tubes (10a,10b), the tubes (10a,10b) being pivotally mounted on a platen (15) carrying the pivot (14), the platen (15) comprising a window (16) with the same diameter as the tubes (10a,10b) and in front of which is positioned one of the tubes (10a) when the other tube (10b) is facing the opening (17) of the secondary tank (2).
