Definitions
- the invention relates to a fabric combination which is particularly suitable for the manufacture of clothing which offers improved protection against arcing faults.
- EP 1 373 617 A2 ( WO 02/079555 A2 ) is a reinforced fabric which is woven from two yarns such that a first yarn is flame retardant and predominantly forms the outside of the fabric and a second yarn with a low fineness forms the inside of the fabric, for example for the manufacture of garments from firefighters known, which serves to protect against an arc in the event of a hazardous environment. This is achieved by a mechanical reinforcement.
- the EP 1 796 492 B1 according to which two layers of a fabric are connected in a special way and with the formation of air pockets.
- the concerns DE 20 2007 014 673 U1 a multi-layered fabric for use as a protective clothing garment against arcing faults, the layers of which are woven from warp and weft yarns flame retardant.
- the yarn count can be Nm 70/2.
- the invention has for its object to provide a fabric combination, which forms both a protection against arcs, and has a relatively low basis weight.
- this has an inner and an outer fabric.
- the weave construction of the outer fabric is in this case selected such that two different yarns are woven together, wherein the first yarn predominantly forms the outer side, and the second yarn is provided predominantly on the inner side.

Furthermore, this first yarn is spun in a fineness of at least Nm 60/2. This allows a high degree of tightness or tightness of the outer layer of the outer fabric.
- the second yarn has a lower fineness than the first yarn and is interwoven to form predominantly the "inner layer" of the outer fabric.
- This inner layer is comparatively open-pored and structured. The open-pore inner layer thus creates a "consumption position" which decomposes under the influence of electro-thermal stress while consuming oxygen and thereby prevents the inner fabric, a flame-retardant lining material, from being damaged.
- the inner layer of the outer fabric is preferably mechanically weaker than the outer layer of the outer fabric and thus contributes significantly to the formation of the "Verzehrlage" at.

Description
The invention relates to a fabric combination which is particularly suitable for the manufacture of clothing which offers improved protection against arcing faults.
The invention has for its object to provide a fabric combination, which forms both a protection against arcs, and has a relatively low basis weight.
The solution of this task is carried out by the tissue combination described in claim 1.
As a result, this has an inner and an outer fabric. The weave construction of the outer fabric is in this case selected such that two different yarns are woven together, wherein the first yarn predominantly forms the outer side, and the second yarn is provided predominantly on the inner side. As a result, the following is also an external or internal "situation" the speech. Examples of a suitable bond include a twill weave or a modified twill weave.
The first yarn is flame retardant and accounts for 65% or more, preferably 70%, more preferably 73% and most preferably 75% or more of the basis weight of the outer fabric. Furthermore, this first yarn is spun in a fineness of at least Nm 60/2. This allows a high degree of tightness or tightness of the outer layer of the outer fabric. The second yarn has a lower fineness than the first yarn and is interwoven to form predominantly the "inner layer" of the outer fabric. This inner layer is comparatively open-pored and structured. The open-pore inner layer thus creates a "consumption position" which decomposes under the influence of electro-thermal stress while consuming oxygen and thereby prevents the inner fabric, a flame-retardant lining material, from being damaged. The inner layer of the outer fabric is preferably mechanically weaker than the outer layer of the outer fabric and thus contributes significantly to the formation of the "Verzehrlage" at. Regarding the inner fabric, it should be mentioned that it serves as a "second protective barrier" under the outer fabric as the "first protective barrier" and accordingly is provided with particularly fine threads and thus the formation of a surface which is as closed as possible. Initial tests have shown that an arc thermal performance value APTV according to IEC EN 61482-1-1 of 25 cal / cm 2 can be achieved with a comparatively low basis weight of 400 g or less per square meter. The basic idea of the invention is therefore not in the Increasing the mechanical strength, but in the particular embodiment of a double-sided outer fabric with tightly closed outside and open inside as a "consumption position". It should be noted that the second yarn and / or the yarn of the inner fabric also preferably has flame-retardant properties, although these may be less pronounced than in the case of the first yarn. Incidentally, the inner and outer fabrics are preferably not connected to each other. However, this can be provided. Usually, however, these are made up of two layers in the production of a garment.
Preferred developments of the tissue combination according to the invention are described in the further claims.
160 bis 170 und insbesondere etwa 165 g/m2 als vorteilhaft erwiesen.230 to 240 and in particular 235 g / m 2 or 160 to 170 and in particular approximately 165 g / m 2 have proved to be advantageous for the basis weight of the outer fabric or inner fabric.
With regard to the proportion of the first yarn in the basis weight of the outer fabric, good properties were found for proportions of 75 to 85% and in particular about 80%.
For the first yarn, it is presently preferred to consist of at least 70% meta-aramid, about 2% antistatic fibers, and otherwise para-aramid. As a result, a first "protective wall" is formed against arcs through the outermost fabric layer.
For the second yarn, less finely spun than the first yarn, a fineness between Nm 34/2 and 45/2 is currently preferred.
Furthermore, good properties have resulted for a second yarn, which consists of about 40 to 60% of flame-retardant modified acrylic fiber, so-called modacrylic, and the rest of Cotton exists. As a result, as mentioned, an open and coarsely textured surface to the inner fabric is formed, which provides in combination with the dense and smooth outermost layer advantageously for the described "consumption position". Advantageously, the second yarn also has flame retardant properties through the use of a high level of modacrylic.
For the inner fabric, the use of a yarn in both warp and weft with a fineness of Nm 40/2 to 50/2 is currently preferred.
Good flame retardancy was also found when the inner fabric is 60-40% meta-aramid fiber and 40-60% flame retardant modified viscose or modal viscose fiber.
Finally, there are advantages when the tissue combination according to the invention has an APTV according to IEC EN 61482-1-1 of 25cal / cm 2 or more. At this value, the inner fabric shows no puncturing or other damage in the standardized test conditions, while the outer fabric is partially completely destroyed and so far advantageously acts as a "Verzehrlage".
